Latios-Mega (M) @ Latiosite
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Luster Purge
- Mystical Fire
- Aura Sphere / Draco Meteor
- Roost
Built for battle, born to break teams, Mega Latios is here! Mystical Fire burns Steel-types like Ferrothorn, Gholdengo, and Mega Scizor to a crisp. Aura Sphere covers other Steel-type Pokemon like Heatran, and it also deals more damage to Kingambit than Mystical Fire, additionally hitting Hisiuan Samurott. Draco Meteor OHKOes Dragon-types such as Raging Bolt, Kyurem, Garchomp, and Roaring Moon, which Mega Latios cannot do with its coverage moves. Roost gives Mega Latios with the longevity to check foes like Ogerpon-W and Mega Charizard Y. Gholdengo is an effective partner, providing a defensive answer to the Fairy-types that want to prey on Mega Latios, such as Iron Valiant and Tapu Lele. In return, Mega Latios is able to break through Gholdengo checks such as Heatran and Gliscor, especially with potential Special Defense drops from Luster Purge upon switching in. While Mega Latios is very strong, it still has trouble doing immediate damage to tanks like Ting-Lu and Assault Vest Melmetal. Therefore, it appreciates Zamazenta as a partner to respond to these foes. In return, Mega Latios breaks through Toxapex and Gholdengo for Zamazenta.
