Geboren um zu Kämpfen, gebaut um Teams zu brechen. Mega Latios ist hier! Mystical Fire brennt Stahl-Typen wie Ferrothorn, Gholdengo und Mega Scizor nieder. Aura Sphere deckt weitere Stahl-Typen wie Heatran ab, ist effektiver gegen Kingambit und trifft außerdem Hisiuan Samurott. Draco Meteor OHKOt Drachen-Typen wie Raging Bolt, Kyurem, Garchomp und Roaring Moon. Dank Roost verfügt Mega Latios über die Beständigkeit, um Ogerpon-W and Mega Charizard Y zu checken. Gholdengo ist ein guter Partner gegen die Feen-Typen, wie Iron Valiant und Tapu Lele, die eine große Gefahr für Mega Latios darstellen. Im Gegenzug kann Mega Latios dessen Checks - Heatran und Gliscor - aus dem Weg räumen, besonders durch Spezialverteidigungssenkungen, wenn diese in Luster Purge einwechseln. Obwohl Mega Latios viel Power besitzt hat es Probleme mit Tanks wie Ting-Lu und Assault Vest-Melmetal. Deswegen schätzt es Zamazenta als Partner, welches eine gute Antwort auf diese Gegner ist.
