EVs: 248 HP / 84 Atk / 176 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Refresh
- Flip Turn / Liquidation
- Stealth Rock / Knock Off

Mega Swampert's Refresh set brings a refreshing change of pace thanks to its additional longevity. With Refresh, Mega Swampert has far more freedom to click its STAB moves to dish out heavy damage against Mega Aggron and Slowking, which otherwise wear it down with status. Flip Turn generates momentum off of Grass-types it lures in such as Mega Sceptile, Tapu Bulu, and Tangrowth, bringing in a progress maker such as Slither Wing or Okidogi. Liquidation can be used on bulkier teams looking for a tank to spread damage against Gligar, Crobat, and bulky Slither Wing. Mega Swampert employs a utility move, such as Stealth Rock or Knock Off, on its last slot to maximize its value due to taking a team slot reserved for bulky Ground-types like Gastrodon and Mega Steelix. Mega Swampert's EVs are set up to 3HKO Mega Aggron with Earthquake and outpace Modest Primarina to hit it with Earthquake before getting hit by Hydro Pump or Energy Ball. Mega Swampert synergizes with pivots such as Crobat and Cyclizar, which use U-turn against Ground-weak switch-ins such as Tinkaton and Fezandipiti. Both serve as a buffer against Grass-types, such as Tapu Bulu and Ogerpon, and Electric-types that carry Grass-type moves like Mega Manectric and Thundurus.

Ice Punch seems like a fantastic option as well on more offensive sets, especially paired with Liquidation. Could be worth considering. Hits Latias + all grasses.

Both offer removal for Mega Swampert and serve as a buffer against Grass-types and Electric-types that carry Grass-type moves like Mega Manectric and Thundurus.

Removal seems relatively unimportant given a resistance to Rocks, but more importantly crobat doesn't switch into either electric. Bulu is probably a good shout for a teammate as it can lure crobat/bulky swing with RockZ and provides recovery, or assault vest tang to help handle the electrics swampert can't

Only those 2 suggestions, but can probably ship to GP as is

I was told by Marnie no more than 2 options per slot so Ice Punch is impossible to fit here

I think I fucked up the wording for the Crobat and Cyclizar thing, does this sound better?

"Both serve as a buffer against Grass-types such as Tapu Bulu and Ogerpon and Electric-types that carry Grass-type moves like Mega Manectric and Thundurus respectively."

You can't use respectively in lists with more than 1 corresponding option, but other than that the change is good yea and thats more of a GP change. Wondering if theres a more relevant grass we can mention than ogerpon but I don't think there is. QC 1/1

Mega Swampert Swampert's Refresh set brings a refreshing change of pace thanks to its Refresh set giving it additional longevity. I missed the ping here for some reason.

"Slither Wing or and Okidogi."

I don't really like this change as the two mons are not really used together and the use of "and" instead of "or" here feels subject to misinterpretation.

Everything else is implemented however.

Runo Standard grammar procedures state that when listing multiple examples for a plural subject, in this case “progress makers”, you need to use the conjunction “and”. If you can’t agree with this convention for this situation and/or still want to use “or”, your only option is to use the singular “progress maker”.

Flip Turn generates momentum off of Grass-types it lures in such as Mega Sceptile, Tapu Bulu, and Tangrowth, bringing in progress makers a progress maker such as Slither Wing or Okidogi.
