National Dex NatDex Sirfetch’d Team

Saw Reverend's vid on Sirfetch’d and I wanted to make a team with it since it has a useful enough movepool and stats to actually be worthwhile to run with a little bit of supporting. Also would be a fun teambuilding challenge as its not fun to just teambuild with only meta mons.

The Team

Sirfetch'd

Sirfetch’d @ Choice Band
Ability: Scrappy
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 40 HP / 252 Atk / 216 Spe
Adamant Nature
IVs: 0 SpA
- Close Combat
- First Impression
- Brave Bird
- Knock Off

First there's the EV's, I had maxxed Sirfetch's attack and used an adamant to maximize its wallbreaking potential, next I had specifically put 216 Spe EV's so it could outspeed pokemon such as no speed investment Gholdengo and Heatran and from there the rest of it are dumped into HP. Next is the actual moveset: First there is Close Combat which is Sirfetch’s best STAB and move in general. Next is First Impression which allows Sirfetch’d to use priority and KO mons that would normally outspeed and kill you. Third is Brave Bird which allows it to hit many targets for super effective or just really strong neutral damage for the cost of recoil, this move can be replaced the best of the four for better options. And lastly there is Knock Off which allows Sirfetch’d to hit psychic types it would struggle with or just be a really good move just to click to make progress.

Iron Crown

Iron Crown @ Assault Vest
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 84 HP / 172 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 20 Atk
- Tachyon Cutter
- Psychic Noise
- Volt Switch
- Focus Blast

Due to Sirfetch’d struggling with psychic, fairy types it Iron Crown makes an amazing partner for Sirfetch’d. With its assault vest set its able to tank special attacks much easier and threaten other mons such as Zapdos which Sirfetch’d struggles with a ton, it also run specifically 172 SpA to get a speed boost from electric terrain but you can forgo it to make it more offensively threatening. Tachyon Cutter is a great move for STAB along with hitting Fairy types hard. Psychic Noise it great for getting through bulky mons like Zapdos by preventing them from healing. Volt Switch is great for pivoting which Sirfetch’d loves due to its middling bulk. And Focus is good for hitting Dark and Steel types which it struggles with.

Tapu Koko

Tapu Koko @ Electrium Z
Ability: Electric Surge
Tera Type: Electric
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Roost
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- U-turn

Now a mon that benefits both before it, Tapu Koko is a good ally for Sirfetch’d to run due to how it can hit Flying types it oh so hates along with bulky Water types such as Alomomola, and it also sets up terrain for a fast or strong Iron Crown. It runs Thunderbolt for self explainable reasons, along with this it runs Electrium Z to get OHKOs on mons where it wouldn't happen. You could also run Specs instead of Z crystal but I don't really like it due to how now one third of the team is choiced locked. Next is Roost for longevity, though you could also run Defog as hazard support on this team is rather sparce. Next is Hidden Power Ice to hit pesky ground types like Lando, though you could also run Dazzling Gleam for resists against Electric and actual STAB. And last is U-turn for pivoting that doesn't get immune blocked.

Slowbro

Slowbro @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Scald
- Future Sight
- Teleport
- Slack Off

Slowbro is another great teammate for Sirfetch’d due to its ability to slow pivot out on any physical attackers with future sight coverage along with Sirfetch’d dealing with much of its counters such as Kingambit. Scald is used for STAB along with cheesing for the thirty percent burn chance on physical attackers. Future Sight is good for pressure combined with Sirfetch’d and works especially well with Teleport. Teleport is self explanatory. And Slack Off is good for healing when you need to stay in for something.

Ting-Lu
tinglu.png

Ting-Lu @ Leftovers
Ability: Vessel of Ruin
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Ruination
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind

This is meant to be the main SpD wall of the team given how Iron Crown struggles with mons like Mega Charizard Y along with fulfilling the Electric immunity and rock setter on the team. Earthquake is self explainable. Ruination is good for getting damage on mons that are immune to EQ or have a really good resist to it. Stealth Rock is self explainable. And Whirlwind is good for phasing out setup threats such as Volcarona.

Tornadus-Therian
tornadus-therian.png

Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 184 HP / 108 Def / 216 Spe
Timid Nature
- Bleakwind Storm
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Defog

Lastly there is the utility mon spot, Tornadus is mainly used for Defog, Knock Off or just switching in on random bs and healing it off with a pivot regenerator. First move is Bleakwind Storm being able to utilize its special STAB, although its a pain in the ass at eighty percent accuracy. Next is U-turn with the already provided reason. Knock Off as well for overall good support. And lastly Defog due to how there's no Hazard Support like anywhere else on the team.

Conclusion and Other Thoughts
Thanks for reading my RMT please respond if you have any critiques. I'm kinda having issue with the team but I'm not sure if its just my skill or something with the team. There are some issues with hazard support and maybe the defensive core, I was having issues with that during development. Also sorry if the ending descriptions were getting kinda empty, tbh I didn't really know what else to really say about them.
