Surprisingly, Chi-Yu is the missing puzzle piece that Sticky Web teams were searching for to establish dominance, as it solves the issue of fizzling out against bulkier playstyles. It happens to be just as unwallable in Ubers as OU, as +2 Black Hole Eclipse OHKOes Ho-Oh and can even muscle through Chansey! Chi-Yu has also forced balance and bulky offense structures to re-evaluate their approach, as its power and speedy Taunt makes removing Sticky Web a daunting task as Chi-Yu will otherwise blitz past checks such as Taunt + Calm Mind Arceus formes and offensive Eternatus. Additionally, it also provides crucial counterplay against some of the strongest anti-offense tools in Ditto, Marshadow, and Choice Scarf Yveltal that would otherwise spell trouble. Furthermore, Chi-Yu’s ability to punish Choice Scarf Yveltal is quite welcome due to its ability to guarantee the removal of Sticky Web and revenge kill teammates such as Extreme Killer Arceus and Zacian-C.
