Good Evening Smogon, I'm here to show my team that was able to get me to the top 500 in NDAG.

Riot! (Deoxys-Speed) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
- Spikes
- Magic Coat
Our lead for the team is Deoxys-Speed. The primary goal for him is to get as many layers of hazards up as possible. It also helps vs the everlasting battle against Sash Marshadow that ladder seems to be obsessed with. Magic Coat and Taunt are to deny opposing hazards and shut down other Taunt users.
EAST (Rayquaza) @ Life Orb
Ability: Air Lock
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Ascent
- Extreme Speed
- V-create
Our Mega for the team is going to be the one and only: Mega Rayquaza. It's a quite fearful sight to see on the battlefield if you aren't prepared for it. Dragon Dance is the set of choice here to help outspeed Pokemon that would outspeed Adamant Mega Rayquaza. You can choose to use a Jolly Nature instead of Adamant, Adamant is mainly for more breaking power. Dragon Ascent, V-Create and Extreme Speed are the moves of choice, as the only viable rock type is Tyranitar, which my other pokemon deal with and is quite uncommon in general.
Grief (Calyrex-Shadow) @ Life Orb
Ability: As One (Spectrier)
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Astral Barrage
- Draining Kiss
- Substitute
Our second sweeper is going to be the extremely dangerous Calyrex-Shadow. Nasty Plot and Substitute are used to capitalize on switches, and if a Substitute is still up, Ditto can't beat Calyrex-Shadow one on one. Ditto being one of this team's biggest nightmares is always great to be able to deal with against lesser players. Astral Barrage and Draining Kiss are used for good neutral coverage, and gives Calyrex the ability to hit dark types and heal itself in one fell swoop.
Oldie (Arceus) @ Life Orb
Ability: Multitype
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Extreme Speed
- Earthquake
- Shadow Claw
Oh, Arceus. Considered by many to be Pokemon's Equivalent to God, Ekiller is the set of choice here. You may ask why Jolly over Adamant, and it's because Jolly Outspeeds Mega Rayquaza, and is able to kill it with a Swords Dance Boosted Extreme Speed after Stealth Rock. Earthquake hits NDM, as well as Primal Groudon. Shadow Claw can hit cocky Marshadow trying to switch into an Extreme Speed, while also hitting Calyrex-Shadow.
Sunday (Necrozma-Dusk-Mane) @ Ultranecrozium Z
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Photon Geyser
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
Necrozma-Dusk-Mane is many things: A Fearsome Sweeper, and can help vs the ever annoying Zacian-Crowned. Dragon Dance is the set of choice here, with a Z-Crystal to unleash the Light that Burns the Sky on any poor soul who decides to switch into it. Choosing whether to change forms into Ultra Necrozma can sometimes even change a battle and has lead me to several wins. EdgeQuake is used as coverage here to beat Yveltal, Ho-Oh, and Steels respectively.
Shattered Dreams (Xerneas) @ Power Herb
Ability: Fairy Aura
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Geomancy
- Moonblast
- Thunder
- Substitute
Xerneas is an ever-lurking threat in the tier. It is easily able to 6-0 teams with a single Geomancy, and can often kill most targets with a single Moonblast. Thunder is used as coverage to beat Ho-Oh, and Max Lightning can prevent you losing to it via accuracy. Xerneas is arguably one of the most powerful Ubers when boosted, due to Fairy Aura. It can often click Moonblast and deal a load of damage, even to a resist.
THREATLIST:
The little purple blob can come in on a boosted sweeper without a Substitute up and can often break a massive hole in the defenses. If you need to beat Ditto, consider having it lock into a move such as Astral Barrage on Calyrex, which gives you an opportunity to go to Arceus and Swords Dance up. There's no shame in using your Dynamax early as Arceus, so if you need to beat a ditto it can often save you from getting destroyed.
The Marshmallow Ghost is always a looming threat for most of this team. Everything on the team except for Xerneas is weak to one of its Stabs or Coverage moves. (I.E: Ice Punch for Rayquaza) There is also the threat of a Focus Sash Marshadow on the team of a player who has kept hazards off. Quick Reminder: Spectral Thief goes through Substitute.
This has been my National Dex Anything Goes team, and I hope you enjoy it! Let me know if you have any improvements I should make.
