I have a suggestion for Pokemon Showdown. Not only is it urgently needed, but it is an absolute necesity.
So, the National Dex chatroom. The whole purpose of this chatroom is to talk about Pokémon that are on the entire National Dex. Including the Pokemon that are cut for Galar. It says so in the chat description, and I joined the chat entirely for that reason.
Unfortunately, not everyone sees it that way. The Moderators, are no exception. They see this chat as a place only to talk about OU Pokémon, despite there being an already existing OU Chat.
Your favorite Pokémon may have been cut from the Galar Pokedex, but at least you have a safe haven to talk about your favorite Pokémon, and ask about how it can be used in battle. Unfortunately, your Pokémon may be deemed "unviable."
(I put unviable in air quotes because Viability is based on the skill of the player, not the Pokemon itself. And if you lose, don't blame the Pokemon. Find a way to make it stronger or use it correctly.)
"Unviable" Pokémon are looked down upon in the National Dex chat. This has become big enough of an epidemic that even the Moderators don't allow you to talk about "unviable" Pokémon.
This defeats the entire purpose of the National Dex Chatroom.
Some of my favorite Pokemon are "unviable." I really enjoy using them in battle. And my favorite battle format on the entire website is the National Dex format, for reasons that are obvious.
Not only that, but when I'm talking in the chat, I want to build a team specifically revolving around the "unviable" Pokémon. I may have a strategy to make it work. Others may have a strategy to make it work.
But if I'm not even allowed to talk about it, how am I supposed to make it work? This rule solves zero problems. Instead of making an "unviable" Pokémon viable, if you can't even talk about it, then the only thing it's good for is making the "unviable" Pokémon remain "unviable!"
As you can plainly see, this is a major problem. And without a doubt, it needs to be fixed desperately. Thankfully, there are two solutions to the problem. And now, I present them to you!
Solution One:
Change the rule. How hard is that? This saves time, stress and frustration. And it gives the National Dex chat a purpose. There is literally no reason not to change the rule.
Solution Two:
Create a new chat. If for some reason the National Dex chatroom needs to remain a chatroom specifically for OU Pokémon only (Despite there being a dedicated chat to OU.) a new chat can be created.
I'm talking about a National Dex chat for UU to ZU Pokémon. It can be a chat without discrimination. A chat where you can finally make a strategy about making your favorite Pokémon viable in competitive. Cut from the Galar Pokedex or not. If option one is impossible, there is no reason for option two to be a challenge.

You have been presented to a major problem, with two solutions. Give the National Dex chatroom a reason to exist. And if for some reason this idea gets rejected, I have just one question for the being who rejects. And that question is:
"How else can I make my favorite Pokemon as strong and as viable as they can be?"
