Sab is normally a very good check to medi, as it's immune to its STAB while not being weak to its coverage, but by subbing up on the switch, u can BU to +6 for free and then smash through with Ice Punch. It also threatens stall as clef only needs the slightest chip to fall into range for 2 zen headbutts.

0 Atk Sableye-Mega Knock Off vs. +1 0 HP / 4 Def Medicham-Mega: 48-57 (18.3 - 21.8%) -- possible 5HKO
+6 252 Atk Pure Power Medicham-Mega Ice Punch vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Sableye-Mega: 446-525 (147.1 - 173.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

A common scenario where Sableye Stall is involved is T1 Mega-Sableye vs Heatran, where Mega-Sableye can stay in an attempt to PP stall a couple Magma-Storms, or bait a Z move so the second Heatran check can deal with it. You can exploit that by clicking Will-O-Wisp T2 and get a Flash Fire boost. You can also punish Sableye or Gliscor before PHeal attempting to switch into Heatran later in the game by clicking this move. It can also cripple certain other Pokemon that could try to switch into it such as Garchomp and Tyranitar.

even less useful mew utility-wise, but can take advantage of m-sab when it eventually switches out (also, imprison stealth rock is an interesting concept in general that has potential to work in niche situations, but generally isn't worth it due to four moveslot syndrome, and also the fact that mew gets taunt)

this is more just me theory-crafting, and forgetting that this is a post on luring m-sab

Skill Swap Mega Gallade by Orangesodapop !

Gallade-Mega (M) @ Galladite
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Skill Swap
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Thunder Punch/Knock Off

Mega Sableye always switches into Mega Gallade due to its ability to nullify both of its STABS, but can only really knock off it or wisp it, which normally stops it, however, by skill swapping your Inner Focus on to it, you gain magic bounce, which completely blocks will-o-wisp, and you already take barely anything from knock anyways, so you get the opportunity to set up and break it.

Important Calcs:

+4 252 Atk Gallade-Mega Thunder Punch vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Sableye-Mega: 240-283 (79.2 - 93.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+4 252 Atk Gallade-Mega Knock Off vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Sableye-Mega: 208-245 (68.6 - 80.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252 Atk Gallade-Mega Thunder Punch vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Sableye-Mega: 160-189 (52.8 - 62.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 Atk Sableye-Mega Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Gallade-Mega: 64-76 (23.1 - 27.4%) -- 58.7% chance to 4HKO

Ability: Serene Grace

Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

- Moonblast
- Psyshock
- Wish

Although Sableye-Mega wouldn't be your first pick if you were thinking of a Jirachi check, it is definitely up there. Having amazing defensive stats allows it to comfortably take several Iron Heads and heal off the damage with Recover. Furthermore, it can immediately cripple Jirachi with Will-o-Wisp before mega evolving, essentially invalidating its offensive presence. All of this is not to mention how an uninvested Knock Off deals heavy damage and easily forces Jirachi out.

  • 252 Atk Jirachi Iron Head vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Sableye-Mega: 90-106 (29.7 - 34.9%) -- 13.8% chance to 3HKO
  • 0 Atk Sableye-Mega Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Jirachi: 186-218 (54.5 - 63.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

However, this Jirachi set uses Fairium Z, which allows it to OHKO Sableye-Mega at +1. This is especially useful if they spend the first turn inflicting a burn on your Jirachi, giving it a free chance to set up. Fairium Z has the added benefit of reducing damage from Knock Off, so that you would be able to continue setting up Calm Minds on Sableye if you’d like, turning it into a late-game wincon.

  • 0 Atk Sableye-Mega Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Jirachi: 122-146 (35.7 - 42.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
  • +1 252 SpA Jirachi Twinkle Tackle (175 BP) vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Sableye-Mega: 312-368 (102.9 - 121.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Sturdy Magnezone lets you ohko victini after getting vcreated, originally I wanted to run custap with like explosion or something but that isnt needed to kill the victini.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Magnezone Thunderbolt vs. -1 0 HP / 0 SpD Victini: 364-429 (106.7 - 125.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

- Taunt / Focus Blast
- Nature's Madness

Victini is one of the best lele checks out there, because of its ability to resist every single one of lele's moves, besides the rare shadow ball, which I will not be featuring. Guardian of Alola guarantees that a Victini will not be above 25% health after the z-move, where Lele can switch out and come back in later to finish off the job. Taunt is so that non-regenerative walls cannot heal back immediately, which can be a very effective prediction-light stallbreaker.

Sash Blaziken

Blaziken @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Flare Blitz
- Knock Off
- Swords Dance

Victini is a great offensive pivot into Blaziken, as its typing allows it to resist both of Blaziken's STAB moves, and threatens it with an OHKO with Psychic. However, Focus Sash allows Blaziken to survive a hit, boost its attack with Swords Dance, and then outspeed and OHKO Victini the next turn with Knock Off. Along with luring in Victini, this set can also eliminate Lati@s-Mega and weaken Slowbro, with the cost of not being able to hit Toxapex super-effectively.

  • +2 252+ Atk Blaziken Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Victini: 438-516 (128.4 - 151.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
  • +2 252+ Atk Blaziken Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Latias-Mega: 250-296 (68.6 - 81.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
  • +2 252+ Atk Blaziken Knock Off vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Latios-Mega: 294-348 (97.6 - 115.6%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO
  • +2 252+ Atk Blaziken Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Slowbro: 296-350 (75.1 - 88.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
