Welcome to the first ever NatDex Majors! This is an official Type B Tournament in the 2025 National Dex Tournament Circuit where you can test your mettle against the top players in the community. Unlike most elimination tours, where your opponent is a matter of chance, NatDex Majors ensures that every participant plays a broad swath of the tier's playerbase as you fight your way to the top.

The tournament is divided into two stages - a round-robin qualifier and an elimination bracket. During Stage 1, players will be divided into pools, where they will play every other member of the pool in a best-of-one round robin over the course of 3 weeks. Pool leaders will be selected by tournament hosts to ensure that each pool is more competitive.

At the end of Stage 1, each player will be ranked within his or her pool. The top two players of each pool will advance to Stage 2, where they will be entered into a single elimination bracket. NatDex circuit points will be awarded to everybody in stage 2.

  • You're required to play everyone in your group, which means you need to play 7 Best-of-one games! You're allowed to switch teams between games. 2 players with the best records will proceed to stage 2.
  • The deadline for the first stage is 3 weeks.
  • Replays are required for all games.
  • Use Smogon VM to schedule. It will be the only method we care when an activity call is needed to be made.
  • Players with no activity (i.e. scheduling/gaming) before the end of the first week might be dropped out.
  • If any ban/unban occurs, it won't be applied until stage 2.
  • Nashrock will be in charge of Pool Alomomola to Pool Ferrothorn, and Runo will be in charge of Pool Garchomp to Pool Iron Crown.

The deadline for this stage is March 16th, 23:59 GMT -5. No extension will be granted.

Hilariously low effort (besides first 2) Predictions for who I think should make it out of each pool + runner-up

:alomomola:
1. seth
seth is the best builder in this pool and arguably the best player—he is the easy overwhelming favorite to make it out especially when Skyiew is at his mercy for teams

2. Skyiew
good pilot who is arguably the strongest in-game in the pool, should be able to cruise to X-1/2 so long as he has decent teams which he can steal from NDBD. Will probably be lazy with prep and reuse NDBD teams however, which could be exposed by someone who has more motivation.

I think Lacks has a really solid in-game all things consisered, and has played really nicely in ssnl en route to a winners bracket run yet to end as we go into the top 32, however, I am not entirely sure. I think if he can manage to take one off of seth or Skyiew then he can seriously contend as a dark horse in this group

1. Clawed Winter
Clawed is handily the strongest in-game in this pool, but im not sure about where he’s sources builds for NDBD. Record doesnt lie though, hes a solid player all-around and should have no trouble making it out in what appears to be a pretty easy group

2. Gewwge
aka hi.naming is hard, gewwge was a household name in ND whether it be his consistently solid results or obscene moments of luck combined with chat larping and seems to have made a return. Ive always thought gewwge had a pretty good in-game, but his prep patterns are very, very linear. Always some sort of weather or mmedi, but he realistically just skill checks this pool and experience mogs, IMHO.

Maybe a slight upset here, but i think ineros falls short out of the big 3 in this pool. Vs the more unknown/less experienced players of the pool he should be fine, but the others should also dominate those mus while I think i favor clawed/gew in h2h
