Gengar @ Choice Specs
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Sludge Wave / Psychic
- Knock Off / Trick

Specs Gengar doesn't really hit anywhere near as hard as you would think it might (Shadow Ball doesn't even 2HKO Physically Defensive Toxapex, much less Spdef Pex, and you need rocks to 2HKO Spdef Corv), but it can act as a reasonably effective breaker with good prediction thanks to its superb coverage. It's also slightly faster than its main competition of Blacephalon, which isn't hugely useful but can be helpful in emergencies against Mega Diancie and the like. Focus Blast dissuades our Pursuit trappers from switching in and gives Gengar perfect coverage. Sludge Wave slugs through Tapu Fini (although you, again, need hazards) and Clefable, while Psychic 2HKOs Toxapex. Last slot can be Knock Off to mess with various defensive walls that can afford to pivot in once. You can also use Trick but be aware that this thing hits like a wet noodle without its Choice Specs.

EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast/dazzling gleam
- Taunt

This set useful for hyper offense. Taunt to let hazard up during early and mid games. Nasty plot, shadow ball, and focus blast, it is able to break down almost any defensive core you can throw at it. Against stall team, you usually can setup nasty plot bcs stall are passive. , Chansey/blissey are walled due to taunt, toxapex, unaware clefable, galar slowking cant really touch you. You also 2ohko mega sab after nasty plot. The only pokemon that can switch into Gengar after a np and not risk getting 2hko'd is pokemon with Bulletproof ability such as kommo-o. After getting it's first ko, it is often able to pick up a because focus sash allowing it to live any one hit. This is especially helpful when the opponent attempts to revenge kill gengar.

another option is dazzling gleam over focus blast. It let you hit kommo-o and hit mega sab harder.

Calc :
+2 252 SpA Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Sableye-Mega: 171-202 (56.4 - 66.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

A Choice Scarf allows Gengar to reach jaw dropping speeds, outspeeding the likes of Mega Swampert in rain and KOing it with Enery Ball. Trick can be used to cripple the likes of Toxapex and Chansey who try to switch in to it.

Gengar IMO can offer valuable team support to certain rain builds especially rain HO's especially given how unprepared balance teams are for the coverage move. This gengar is not for breaking stalls since u can also have manaphy which does better on rain but is meant to be more potent at breaking balance cores especially the beloved Toxapex clefbale and metal bird core that plagues this tier while also being able to run enough speed for things like garchomp that are increasingly common on these chunkier builds nowadays. IMO Life orb is definitely worth the tradeoff since there is little that can handle these hits anyways and such a frail mon is not in need of the 10% hp. You gain some of the benefits of specs boosted power while also avoiding the choice lock that gets you pursuit trapped or worse this slight boost is often enough to get calcs from the 80-90% range to be ohkos especially +2 calcs meaning you no longer need the z move to break things like una clef and toxapex. Part of inovating with gar is dropping the sub lefties mindset where you only aim to setup on more passive threats, this gar is meant to be played aggressively and punch holes in combination with other slower breakers, not sweep entire stall teams.

+2 252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Thunder vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Corviknight: 499-588 (124.7 - 147%) -- guaranteed OHKO while regular gar needs a Z to break corv

252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Heatran: 322-382 (99.6 - 118.2%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO you pick up an OHKO on offensive tran that is missed by z sets

252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Clefable: 187-220 (47.4 - 55.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers
you break una clef which normal gar needs sludge wave or a z to do

+2 252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Thunder vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Toxapex: 351-413 (115.4 - 135.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO nice to also hit toxapex which haze walls normal gar after z move is gone

+2 252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Thunder vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Mandibuzz: 465-549 (109.9 - 129.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO even mandi one of the
strongest gar counters can get it from thunder.

+2 252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Gastrodon: 399-472 (93.6 - 110.7%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock you break physdef gastros without the z although spdef can still wall you and is one of the only things that can

252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Focus Blast vs. 132 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar-Mega in Sand: 390-463 (104.8 - 124.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO This is an important OHKO that regular gar cannot get without a Z move or +2

+2 252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 140+ SpD Assault Vest Slowking: 335-398 (85 - 101%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock you KO both slowkings with shadow ball another KO regular gar misses unless it wants to drop a z ghost.

you can still abuse chansey and blissey as often all they can do to you is twave (which they usually dont click anyways thinking you are the sub set)

+4 252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Focus Blast vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 647-762 (92 - 108.3%) -- 50% chance to OHKO

+2 252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Blissey: 523-616 (73.2 - 86.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Congratulations adem for winning the Gengar cycle!!

I wish this project lasts forever, because...

Cycle 12

Jirachi is a Choice Scarf user whose objective is making your opponent break its keyboard after flinching them eight times in a row, pivoting with U-turn, trading its Choice Scarf with Trick, and sacking it with Healing Wish to completely heal a damaged teammate. However, it has a very wide movepool which makes it an excellent option to surprise your opponent and, of course, the chosen mon for Cycle 12. How will you extract all its potential?

This jirachi set is very skillful set and good for sweeping and wallbreaker. The move coverage for jirachi is not very good but it have nice moveset. Iron head+serene grace have 60% , Thunder is for spread para, hitting corviknight and water type. If your opponent pokemon is paralyze and you start spamming iron head , your opponent chance to breaking through are 0.75 x 0.4 = 0.3, which is 30%.

Calcs :
+1 252 SpA Jirachi Thunder vs. 248 HP / 92 SpD Corviknight: 308-364 (77.1 - 91.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

+1 252 SpA Jirachi Stored Power (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-Therian: 295-348 (77.2 - 91%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 0- Atk Jirachi Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Blissey: 211-249 (29.5 - 34.8%) -- 11.5% chance to 3HKO
+1 252 SpA Jirachi Thunder vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Slowbro: 360-424 (91.3 - 107.6%) -- 50% chance to OHKO
+1 252 SpA Jirachi Stored Power (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Ferrothorn: 80-94 (22.7 - 26.7%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 252 SpA Jirachi Thunder vs. 248 HP / 244 SpD Scizor-Mega: 119-141 (34.6 - 41.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+1 0- Atk Jirachi Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 200 Def Clefable: 236-282 (59.8 - 71.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 252 SpA Jirachi Stored Power (120 BP) vs. 244 HP / 76 SpD Gliscor: 282-333 (80.1 - 94.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal
+1 252 SpA Jirachi Thunder vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Tapu Fini: 238-282 (69.1 - 81.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

From what we can see here, jirachi can 2ohko tapu fini, gliscor, landorus, clefable, tapu fini, slowbro, toxapex and corviknight after a boost.
Its struggle to break blissey, slowking galar and scizor mega but you can try haxing its with flinch because iron head+ serene grace have 60% chance to flinch your opponent.
Its hard to bring down ferrothorn and heatran bcs it deal low damage. I mean sure you could try haxing them using flinch but good luck with that lol.
So, what are good partner for this jirachi set? If you re using this set in HO(hyper offense), you could consider blaziken , hp ground volcarona, fire fang mega garchomp because it beat what jirachi struggle to break.
Alternative set, you could use hp fire over thunder. It helps you beat ferrothorn and scizor mega easier but you re giving up for spread para move and miss 2hko on corviknight.

calcs:
+1 252 SpA Jirachi Hidden Power Fire vs. 248 HP / 244 SpD Scizor-Mega: 264-312 (76.9 - 90.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252 SpA Jirachi Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Ferrothorn: 216-256 (61.3 - 72.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 252 SpA Jirachi Hidden Power Fire vs. 248 HP / 92 SpD Corviknight: 170-200 (42.6 - 50.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Also keep in mind, intimidate from landorus lower stored power bp from 120bp to 100bp

This Jirachi set aims to not give a completely free turn to Ground-types such as Garchomp and Landorus-T, by pressuring them with Hp Ice while maintaining the ability to check Fairy- and Psychic-types. We don´t have U-Turn here, making Magnezone and Heatran matchups a bit worse. Shuca Berry is the chosen item so Jirachi can handle Earthquakes from Garchomp and Landorus-T.

252 Atk Garchomp Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Shuca Berry Jirachi: 163-193 (40.3 - 47.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

0 SpA Jirachi Hidden Power Ice vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Garchomp: 200-236 (56 - 66.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 SpA Choice Specs Tapu Lele Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 180+ SpD Jirachi: 150-177 (37.1 - 43.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO (kinda bad but if you are running protect instead of Stealth Rock you are safe) (no one hits 3 consecutive Focus Blast right)

This set outspeeds kyurem and annoys a lot of pokemon with paralysis and flinches and can even break through pokemon such as def lando-t, mawile, and garchomp. Wish protect allows it to regain health and gain more opportunities to spam body slam and iron head finch its way through

Thanks to its 100 base Special Attack, Choice Specs Jirachi is a powerful wallbreaker with a wide variety of coverage moves that allows it to take on various walls. The opponent would not expect a Special Jirachi, meaning they would go into a standard Jirachi counter such as Toxapex, Landorus-T or Corviknight, where you can click Psychic/Thunderbolt and 2HKO. Trick is a standard option that allows Jirachi to cripple walls such as Chansey or Corviknight, but you have to be careful because without the item Jirachi does not deal much damage. Psychic and Flash Cannon are brainless STAB moves since they are powerful offensive types that can be used against most Pokémon in the meta. End of story, no one wants to switch into a Jirachi, whether they will take a powerful Specs attack that comes with status or stat drops or be crippled with Trick. Doom Desire is easily a spammable move, but arguably less reliable than Flash Cannon. It can be used to create interesting scenarios that force the opponent to make awkward switches in hopes of tanking a STAB Choice Specs 140 BP attack, giving you momentum to be able to make switches or stay in and set up.
