I'm voting for Electrium Z, anyway congrats to faded love for winning this cycle.

Cycle 3

:ss/aegislash:

Aegislash has been banned for 2 generations until Gamefreak finally nerfed it and thus allowing it to be balanced here. To be honest Aegislash hasn't exactly been that popular as of late and it hasn't really been explored that much since the Arena Trap ban. Despite that, Aegislash has amazing stats that allow it to defensively and offensively check things like Mega Metagross and Kartana. The most famous of which were the Subtoxic and Sword Dance sets. Lets see what you guys can come up with.

Deadline is July 8th.

Aegislash @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Claw
- Close Combat
- Shadow Sneak

Colbur Berry Aegislash is a great lure for Tyranitar, Hydreigon, and Weavile, as well as more niche Dark-types like Mega Gyarados. This is great on Reuniclus-based TSpikes teams that are annoyed by these threats, allowimg Reuni to explore other coverage options like Shadow Ball or even Thunder to slap Mandibuzz. This also provides a decent Tapu Lele and Kartana check as well as a strong Shadow Sneak to give Gengar the L, and keep your TSpikes up.

Aegislash @ Ghostium Z
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Autotomize
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Shadow Claw

So this set aims to take advantage of the more passive Pokemon on teams, such as Chansey or the relatively common Clef by first clicking Autotomize, then later sweeping. Obviously, this set has issues with certain pokemon, such as its stall matchup being not incredible due to Sableye and Unaware Clef. The cool part about this set is Aegislash is pretty uncommon, so opposing priority is limited to MLop Fake Out or AshGren Shuriken. After both dances are off though, this set is nigh unwallable outside of the few instances I have pointed out already.

Aegislash @ Occa Berry
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Claw
- Close Combat
- Shadow Sneak
Occa Berry Aegis aims to lure Heatran, Volcarona, and heattom and bop them with a +2 cc (or shadow claw in volcarona's case).
+2 252+ Atk Aegislash-Blade Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 578-680 (149.7 - 176.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ Atk Aegislash-Blade Shadow Claw vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Volcarona: 376-444 (100.5 - 118.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+2 252+ Atk Aegislash-Blade Close Combat vs. 248 HP / 0 Def Rotom-Heat: 286-337 (94.3 - 111.2%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO

Aegislash @ Choice Band
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shadow Claw
- Shadow Sneak
- Close Combat
- Pursuit

Band Aegislash functions as a powerful wallbreaker thanks to the amazing coverage provided by Shadow Claw and Close Combat while also having defensive utility and having strong priority to boot. This set does especially well now considering that Mega Medicham and other offensive Psychics have begun to ramp up in usage. Pursuit can trap them as the final move. 84 Speed outruns uninvested base 70s, which outruns everything that is getting EVd to outrun Corviknight in addition to letting you hit Skarmory before it uses Iron Defense.

I'm gonna vote for Choice Band, anyway congrats to SputnikGT for winning this round.

Cycle 4
:ss/gliscor:

With Hazard removal becoming much harder to fit onto teams (and teams who just forgo it completely). Gliscor has become one of the most splashable threats in the metagame due to its access to Poison Heal letting stick around for a long time against Defensive teams. Gliscor has only really used one set for a long time which is the SD Wincon set that really annoys Toxapex balance teams. But it does have other options it can use.

Deadline is July 30th.

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 52 Def / 192 SpD / 20 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Substitute
- Toxic
- Earthquake
- Roost

i havent seen this set since bw2 but here it is

This set aims to take advantage of Gliscor's ability to force out Heatran as well as other Steels and Poison types, since the types immune to Toxic don't have a good matchup vs Gliscor. Sub combined with Poison Heal + Roost lets you recover the Sub damage over 2 turns with this HP investment. This should probably be paired with Magnezone, since Corv and Sciz sit on this all day. The spread allows Gliscor to handle Mawile and Heatran alike.

Sagisolar July 30th deadline lol

An old set but still a decent one, Stealth Rocks Toxic Gliscor

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Jolly Nature
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 240 SpD / 24 Spe
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Earthquake
- Toxic

24 Speed creeps the standard Zapdos (and standard fast-ish Fini) allowing Gliscor to buy some time against HP Ice instead of relying on winning speed ties (although Pressure makes this not a great plan in the first place), rest in HP/SpDef to let Gliscor sit in front of Tapu Fini and avoid being 2HKO'd by Scald.

Gliscor has access to Stealth Rock and Toxic, while having reliable recovery and being mostly-immune to hazards itself; these factors make it a durable Stealth Rock setter that can really annoy some common Defoggers like Landorus-T, Zapdos, Mandibuzz, Rotom-H/W, and Tapu Fini.

Also, common answers to SD Gliscor like Slowbro and Hippowdon really hate being hit by Toxic, which limits their ability to handle Gliscor's teammates.

The hazard slicer
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 240 SpD / 24 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Taunt
- Knock Off
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
This sets job is to keep rocks up and not allow the opposing team to do so. Taunt allows gliscor to keep rocks up but more importantly stops them from recovering. Knock off is the attacking move here because gliscor can't do too much against certain counters like corvi so you remove their lefties on the switch then stop them from recovering with taunt.

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 244 HP / 52 Def / 188 SpD / 24 Spe
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Defog

While most of the hazard metagame surrounding Gliscor is focused on getting rocks on the field and keeping them there, this set can go in the opposite direction, giving a reliable defogger who can stick around for the length of an entire game who does not need to run Heavy Duty Boots in order to check what it needs to, and who has a quite decent matchup against most of the typical Stealth Rockers in the tier. The 52 Def evs guarantee he lives a Mega Mawile Play Rough into Sucker Punch after Poison Heal, as Gliscor can 2HKO with Earthquake, and 24 jolly Speed evs do the same things it does in the previous posts, aka give it some speed creep to outrun standard Zapdos as well as modest Heatran, among other things. I've always personally liked U-turn on Gliscor, as it allows it to act in a very similar manner to Landorus-Therian, only with actual reliable recovery, and lets it scout switches and potentially get a teammate in safely against a banded adamant Dracovish, so they aren't destroyed on the switch by a powered-up Fishious Rend, although one must be careful to know that a Dracovish truly is banded before attempting this, lest Gliscor get OHKOd by a scarfed Fishious Rend. Knock Off could also potentially be ran in place of U-turn or Earthquake, in order to potentially get rid of the item of a mon that is switching in, and potentially cripple it, such as by removing a choice band or choice scarf from a Dracovish, or by getting rid of Leftovers recovery on a Corviknight, which can force it to roost potentially much quicker against some of Gliscor's teammates.
