Pretty fun hazard stacking and momentum-focused team featuring circle throw Poliwrath to stack extra chip damage. Did around 1700 on the ladder with this. It's decent against most stuff that isn't rain, but that's the price of using heat. Refresh Poliwrath is pretty cool as a hard wall to Toxapex and Ash Gren check similar to what Seismitoad does. The team doesn't have longevity so you should play aggressively to get your hazards up and start working towards a Koko or Lopunny sweep.

I'll edit in some replays when I find them.

I've been playing Nat Dex recently, and I'm going to add teams that have had success for possible Sample submissions (except for the last one).

MMaw + Sub Kyu Offense

This is an offense built around Mega Mawile. It either mid-game dents or late-game sweeps, either way the team benefits from it. Lando-T acts as the speed control for the team with its Choice Scarf, the Volcarona along with the CM sweeper check with Stone Edge and Punishment, respectively, and the common lead for the team. Ash-Greninja acts a secondary breaker before Mawile comes out, and it also sets up hazards for Mega Mawile; so, it can sweep more easily. Kyurem used to be DD Icicle Spear but was changed to the basic Sub Roost set, as it deals with bulky waters which this team struggles with. Z-Celebrate Victini along with Kyurem usually take care of Rain teams; with Kyurem breaking, and Victini end-game sweeping with Stored Power; Searing Shot, for Ferrothorn; and Focus Blast, for Greninja. Focus Blast was Energy Ball to better deal with annoying Waters but was changed after it couldn't hit Heatran. (Kyuem changed its set at this time too.) Finally, Corviknight is here for a Sub Weavile check as technically Mawile counters it, it is offensive and would take too much damage. Corv also serves as the defogger and Kyurem check.

MGallade Psychic Spam

This is also an offense but built around the Psychic Spam core of Mega Gallade and Tapu Lele. The idea is to have Mega Gallade break or dent the opposing team's Psychic check and then have Tapu Lele clean with nothing to stop it. Due to Mega Gallade pressuring 'mons such as Corviknight and Heatran, I added Volcarona as a Quiver Dance sweeper. I chose Hidden Power Ground over Psychic as, due to the core, I thought I had enough Psychic attacks, and this also lets it take care of Heatran just in case. Tyranitar threatens Flying-type 'mons, sets up Stealth Rock, its own weather, and traps Psychic-types that this team could struggle with otherwise. Ferrothorn and Corviknight are the Fairy checks of the team. Ferrothorn grants hazards in Spikes, Leech Seed chip, and a way to hit Waters while Corviknight grants the team hazard removal and a way to punish U-turn.

CB Hoopa-U VoltTurn Offense

This is a VoltTurn team featuring Banded Hoopa-U. Hoopa-U is good wallbreaker with Choice Band and breaks through many 'mons with its coverage. Rotom-W gives the team hazard control and starts the VoltTurning. Mega Scizor gives the team a late-game sweeper with SD + BP. While somewhat counterintuitive, U-turn on Scizor helps the team out with its pivoting. Lando-T gives the team hazards, a way to punish opposing VoltTurn cores, and some more pivoting. Tapu Koko acts as a secondary, faster breaker that abuses its Electric Terrain to lure in Ground-types, and to fire off powerful STABS in Volt Switch and Thunderbolt. Greninja takes care of the Tapus, Lando-T, Gliscor, and Gastrodon with Gunk Shot, Ice Beam, and Grass Knot, respectively. Grass Knot used to be Spikes but, after the team failed to do even the slightest bit to Gastro, was changed for a better match-up.

BU Buzz + CM MLatias

This is a bulky offense around an interesting 'mon that has won me games outright after taking care of their special attackers. It's Bulk Up Buzzwole! As described above, Buzzwole acts as a win condition if you clear your opponent's offensive, specially oriented 'mons with its Ice + Ground combo. The EV spread on Buzz allows it to outspeed Adamant Tyranitar, and be as bulky as possible while still boosting your Attack stat. It also acts as a Dark resist for Mega Latias. Mega Latias offers another breaker if Buzz fails or after he's taken care of your opponent's special wall or vice versa. Tyranitar traps Psychics that this core struggles with and can't hit too hard at all. Corviknight punishes U-turn and acts as the defogger for this team. Toxapex is the mixed but more special defensively oriented wall. The EV spread on it lets it survive the usual stuff along with outspeeding Reuni expecting 4 Spe (or speed tying with Reuni expecting 8 Spe) Toxapex, so you can Haze before they attack. Scarf Lando-T acts as speed control, pivoting, and a check to Volcarona.

Z-Yawn Toge Memes

As the infamous Sulo has once said, and I quote, "f*ck toge".
So, as you can probably tell by the name above this team is around Z-Yawn Togekiss, which I got the idea from this RMT by RedSkyAtNight. Like it says over there, Z-Yawn Togekiss gives you +1 Speed letting you outspeed lots of threats bar Mega Beedrill (which is trash) and anything faster. The next turn you're free to set up a Nasty Plot and proceed to threaten the other team with infinite flinches for Blissey and to chip stuff it wouldn't OHKO normally. Grimmsnarl sets up Screens here for the hyper offense to work. Mega Charizard X hits the Steels that Toge tends to struggle with a bit and can pave the way for Toge to finish the sweep. The next slot can really be anything, but, because this is for the LOLs and the memes, I added Dual Dance Lando-T with the EdgeQuake combo. And, because it's Lando-T it can never be horrible; only subpar. Kartana takes care of the Water, and the EVs boost its speed with Beast Boost so it can have a proper, full-blown sweep and makes it lose as little health as possible from its Life Orb. Volcarona is a secondary Fire-type sweeper to clear Steels, and, after Mega Charizard X dented their Fire check, an end-game sweeper.

Hello, my name is Isza although some know me better as Kaiser/Shali. I am originally a Monotype main, but I have branched out to different tiers as a tournament player over the years. National Dex OU was a tier I picked up because of NDPL a tournament that my friends convinced me to sign up for, and that I continued playing after the tournament ended. I'm posting teams that I believe are good enough to be showcased, and for the sake of tournament/metagame development, I'll only be posting teams that have been used in Nat Dex tournaments(WINS AND LOSSES). Builders will be credited since some of these teams I did not make but received permission to post(I'll also label if its a sample submission)

This is a bulky offense build spammed by me, Jon, ez, and other users in natdex tournaments. The team has offensive pressure in Z kartana, offensive 3 atks heatran, and stored power Latias to make progress vs bulkier teams with tspike support. Clefable and Toxapex are the defensive glues to the team offering wish/tspikes support. The team is rounded off with scarf Lando T as a ground type/glue/defog option if needed. Many different versions of this team have been used although personally I think the original is the best.

Now everyone knows how rain is used in Natdex so I won't bother giving it a sample submission. However this rain has a twist in sub pert and azumarill. in NDPL we noticed that on rain people used flip turn, but what benefit do you get from switching out your hardest breaker on the team? taking helmet to pivot into another offensive option? The point of rain is to have your progress makers get in and hit hard, not volt turning around. In my opinion sub(or even super power) is superior to flip turn on Mega Pert. Azumarill is also a underrated late game cleaner that's able to make progress after teams have a dent in them(Pray for no lele!)

I built this team for money tour r1, and wanted to use serp since it looked good into my opponents scout. The set features Z hyper beam, which is mainly for mons like zapdos and latias after you get chip with leaf storm. HP ground is used to lure Heatrans who think they can switch in, making room for mawile/kartana to make progress later. Fini acts as a water/fire resist+removal, heatran as the stallbreaker, and lando as defensive glue. I'd say this teams one of the best out of the ones I've submitted and has had lots of recent success.

Mega ttar is something I don't see used a lot in Nat dex so I wanted to try it out. SD Gliscot+Zone is also a good combo core that I think the nat dex community overlooks a bit. We have eject pex to not only sponge hits but to get in Gliscor/Mag safely without having to worry about a surprise knock/burn etc. Reuiniclus is my fighting resist and acts as a secondary wincon with zone being the steel trapper. This build has issues with diancie, lele, and overall is hard to pilot if you're not used to using fat which is why I don't think it should be a sample. I built this for money tour since ttar+sd gliscor looked good into my opponents fat builds and also used it for WCOP.

Surprised Koko doesn't get more usage. Good speed tier, decent coverage, and overall is annoying for offense. molt is also another underrated mon that can break balance/clean up bulky offense under the correct circumstances. This is opponent specific but I think its decent vs the majority of the meta. If you feel your opponents "dark resists" are toxapex, corv, or even clef a majority of the time then this Molt offense is a solid pick into those kind of builds.

There was a small period where me and omicorio tried using aggron mega and that arc ended within a few days. I decided to try melmetal which in my opinion outclasses aggron and doesn't take up a mega slot. A steel with fantastic bulk and hits super hard, Melmetal is fantastic against offense and sub makes it even more difficult to deal with. The core of melmetal, gasto, clef, and molt covers P much the entire metagame Outside of maybe Z move lele which has no counters anyway. Lop and gren round up this core for some offensive pressure. I'd say its also weak to rockium/Fly Z lando since molt is the rock resist, outside of that should be fine.

Whens the last time you've seen zard x used in a tournament game? Maybe 1 zard isn't that good, how about 2? With healing wish clefable You can give charizard x another chance to make progress later on which i think is cool because most people try and beat it with chip damage/helmet lando which can beat 1 zard, but not 2. Rotom is the defogger here which can be annoying if ferrothorn is the rocker since rocks always will stay up. Scarf lando and Z dig gren round off the offensive core with ferro as a steel/water resist. This build I think is the coolest and I think Zard X should get a lot more usage. The 2 times this team got used the opponent got lucked (or maybe its just cursed against rain)

The original version of this team is made by Peap, although me and sage made changes. Originally Ash gren, I made it Z green so that I could lure pex for lando, as well as making lando T scarf over rocky helmet. Sage decided that putting spikes on Greninja was worth it over hp fire, since we have enough to cover ferro and scizor already. We decided to bring this team to tiebreak and wanted to share it cause I think its cool. I personally don't like Medicham or psychics in general since Weavile is so good, but occasionally I think its promising to use.

Original version: https://pokepast.es/d8b01927bbb8711f

I'm usually touchy about sharing teams, but I wont be playing the tier as often unless its team tours(OR nat dex invitational) and would like to see metagame development. I will sign up for NDPL as a manager but I don't think I'll play this time around. The tier is super unexplored and has a lot of potential for new teams and options. Wanted to say something to a couple players I see/met while here

baconeatinassassin I don't think we have ever interacted besides playing each other, but I wanted to let you know I think you're a banger of a player and I hope you take officials like Ubers or SM more seriously. Lots of respect for you and I feel you can play in bigger team tours someday please keep it up.

crying You're a good player and while your builds give me headaches, you are creative. Put yourself out there more, talk to more people, and interact. You already made stour playoffs so I know your potential is there, things like that aren't overlooked just remember that.

omicorio I know you're super motivated and its discouraging sometimes when games don't go your way. Keep watching, ask friends for advice(I know you have a lot) and just practice. Eventually things will click, it did for me after a certain point and even now I don't think I'm that great. Always room for improvement you will get there

As for the nat dex community, you guys have been very welcoming to me. If anyone wants to ask about teams, build something, or even just chat feel free to hit me up on discord.

Thanks for having me

Also wanted to drop this alongside the teams Kaiser dropped, this is what pdt used vs. bacon in finals tiebreak for WC. It's a simple team focused around trying to get an endgame win with scarf kartana. CM Z lele helps break down slower teams and is a good breaker especially with mawile who forces a lot of knocks on the opposing team. Rotom and Lando are there for pivot support to bring the aforementioned breakers in while giving me Defog and Rocks support. Hidden Power Ice on Lando was put there instead of Knock Off or Toxic to get surprise chip on opposing Lando's/Garchomp (as seen in the game) and Gliscor. Heatran patched up matchups overall and just is an annoyance for fatter teams in general.

Replay: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen8nationaldex-629270
bacon kind of choked this game but pdt played it very well overall showcasing the teams chemistry

Lopunny Dragonite Balance

I thought of multiple teams up in my head and this is the best one I can think of. This is a balanced team.

strat: setup with regi kill yourself cause the enemy prolly has you low or knocked your clay off, start setting up with Kartana and then sweep. If he dies I mean you have like Ash Greninja, Mega Lopunny and Dragonite. Landorus is your stealth rocker.

Note: There isn't a defogger so beware of obstacles like sticky web since this team is about speed.

CB Kart ft. Umbreon
I might be jumping the gun here because I haven't tried out the team too much, but, honestly, it's gone stupid. I started off with Choice Banded Kartana as I thought it was a powerful yet underrated breaker in NDOU, capable of sweeping teams quite easily once the faster 'mons are gone and destroying slower, bulkier builds. Swampert seemed like the perfect partner as it alleviated Kartana's four times Fire weakness, set up Stealth Rock, and provided pivoting to get it in safely. From there, I chose Umbreon to add to the team's longevity, giving everyone recovery (especially Swampert and Lando-T), and clearing status which severely hinders Kartana's breaking capabilities. I then added Calm Mind Fightium Z Tapu Lele because I've really wanted to use it for a while now, but, more importantly, it abuses Umbreon's Wish to have a second time to set up and sweep. It also acts as a win condition or mid-game breaker. Blacephalon was then added to finish off the Grass-Water-Fire core, and it added speed control for the team as it was becoming quite mid of the pack; it also abuses Tapu Lele's Psychic Terrain quite nicely with Psyshock + its Sucker Punch weakness. Finally, I needed the hazard control, so I chose everyone's favorite dog, Landorus-T. It provides the team Defog support, abuses Umbreon's Wish, provides pivoting, a Volcarona check with Rock Slide, and weakens attackers for Tapu Lele to set up more easily.

These aren't amazing, but they should give you an idea about how to play the team.
I could only find one against a decent team (and they forfeited): https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldex-1595622347

And one against a meme-y Terrain team: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8nationaldex-1595613628
Lead with Landorus-Therian or Swampert, depending on the matchup, then, pivot, and go from there.

Z RAIN DANCE MANAPHY HYPER OFFENSE
Decided to build around Z-Rain Dance Manaphy (Gives a +1 boost to speed) which turns Manaphy from a powerful wallbreaker to a potent wincondition once it's checks are gone. Team is here https://pokepast.es/bbb8e96625f113df

:manaphy: is the star of the show here, with Z-Rain Dance letting it boost it's speed and power of water type moves. It's great natural bulk in both stats and typing lets it set up well, possibly getting both a Tail Glow and a Rain Dance in one game. Additionally, it's quite flexible, so you can instead go for Hydro Vortex should that be the best option.

:hawlucha: is a great partner. It helps deal with grasses like Tang and Ferro that wall Manaphy hard, and special walls like Blissey.

:tapu-koko: is arguably the only viable partner to Hawlucha on Hyper Offense, setting up screens, activating Unburden, Acrobatics, and the 1.5x defense boost, which, combined with invested bulk, allows Lucha to come in easily, in spite of it's poor bulk.

:serperior: helps with bulky waters, esp physically defensive ones, deters defog attempts and offers utility in glare.

:landorus-therian: can get rocks up and go boom, not much more to say.

Finally, :volcarona: has access to arguably the best boosting move in the game, finishes the FWG core, can be sacked to scary phys attackers to fish for a burn should the mus be bad, and can be used as a secondary wincon.

Here are some more teams that I've for sample submissions that are easy to pilot.
Some of them I haven't exactly used in a bit, so they may be a bit rusty those will be indicated with *. They should still work fine but change whatever you feel like needs to be.

:altaria-mega::magnezone::kartana::toxapex::victini::landorus-therian:
https://pokepast.es/e95edbd40ba064d2
Defensive DD MAlt

This is a bulky offense built around Mega Altaria. Mega Altaria is something I've always wanted to try out in Nat Dex but haven't really gotten around to doing, until now. Here, it acts as a win condition with Dragon Dance; Refresh ensures that any status (bar a freeze or sleep XP) won't stop your sweep, along with Roost, to get multiple Dragon Dances. Magnezone takes care of Steels that Mega Altaria tends to struggle with like Corviknight, Scizor, and Ferrothorn, as its only attack is Frustration. Kartana provides hazard control, a check to Ground-types--as this team is quite weak to them otherwise because Lando-T has no recovery--, and an offensive check to Rain that can clean up late-game. Toxapex checks Fires and for the latter two, acts as the Greninja switch-in, and keeps set-up sweepers in check. Victini checks Mega Latias and Tapu Lele that could tear this team apart, for fun, otherwise. (Edit: You can replace Blue Flare for Searing Shot, but you lose out on power. [Sulo bullied me into doing it.]) And, Lando-T acts as the Stealth Rock setter and as the specially defensive pivot.

:reuniclus::ferrothorn::toxapex::gliscor::weavile::heatran:
https://pokepast.es/60bc86bdeb0dd0e0
CM Fight Z Reuni Fat *

This is supposed to be a fat built around Calm Mind Fightinium Z Reuniclus. Reuniclus acts as a potent endgame cleaner after Weavile traps Psychics, which makes its attacks completely unresisted. Ferrothorn adds Spikes, making it harder to switch into Reuniclus's attacks. Toxapex with Toxic Spikes wears down Reuniclus's counters like Mega Sableye, but it can definitely be traded out for Toxic. Gliscor acts as the hazard control and Heatran check. Weavile takes care of Psychics by Pursuit trapping them, and, together, they weaken down each other's check like Corviknight. Heatran acts as the Stealth Rock setter and the Volcaona counter (bar HP Ground), it takes care of Steels.

:latios-mega::melmetal::greninja::toxapex::landorus-therian::kartana:
https://pokepast.es/fec77ebcc1ddf970
Protect MTios + Lefties Melm *

This is an offense built around Protect Latios. Protect Latios (which is shamelessly stolen from Solaros & Lunaris) helps scout out Weavile for Pursuit. If they click it, which they often do, you stay in and click Aura Sphere, if they don't, you can easily switch out to Toxapex to counter it. Melmetal acts as an offensive switch into Ice-, Fairy-, and Dragon-type attacks. It also provides Thunder Wave, slowing down threats for Mega Latios like opposing Greninja and the aforementioned Weavile. Greninja provides Spikes support which allows Mega Latios to break opposing teams more easily and is the speed control for the team. Toxapex is the Greninja switch-in and the set-up sweeper check. Lando-T is the Stealth Rock setter and specially defensive pivot that can also punish the most spammable move ever, U-turn. Kartana is the hazard control for the team.

:hydreigon::melmetal::toxapex::landorus-therian::chansey::tapu fini:
https://pokepast.es/bf07e2305adefeca
NP Ground Z Hydrei *

This is a balance built around Nasty Plot Groundium Z Hydreigon. Hydreigon acts as a mid- to end-game breaker that can take surprise 'mons like that would switch in otherwise like Clefable, which if max HP and Def gets OHKO'd by +2 Tectonic Rage (Ground Z). Melmetal is the Ie-, Fairy-, and Dragon-type attack switch-in. It can also be played quite offensively (and you can make ballsy plays) thanks to its Assault Vest. Suprpower weakens Steels, Ferrothorn, and opposing Darks. Toxapex + Lando-T is best defensive core (a.k.a. the one I spam; look at teams above). WishTect Chansey is to scout out for Tapu Lele, as it just goes to ham on this team with its STABs + Focus Blast. It also heals up Melmetal after it's taken some chip. Tapu Fini acts as the defogger and (as another) Greninja switch-in, all in one

Zard Y Offense

This is an offense around Mega Charizard Y; basic Roost 3 Attacks. Charizard destroys Steels which Kartana appreciates. Also, because of MChar Y's gargantuan weakness to Stealth Rock, it requires hazard control. Kartana is that hazard control; it also takes care of many, common hazard setters, namely Rock-types. Weavile acts as a secondary breaker taking care of faster threats for MChar Y like the Mega Latis. Tapu Fini is the Greninja counter and secondary hazard clearer. Yes, I do realize that this is Double Defog; that is for MChar Y. Lando-T is the specially defensive pivot that take scare of Rocks as well, and Tapu Lele is the speed control for MChar Y, as MChar Y's speed tier leaves a lot to be desired. Tapu also takes care of big threats for MChar Y like Tyranitar, Rain, Zapdos, opposing Weavile, etc.

Zolt + Scarf Lele Sand

In my opinion, all weather is cancer, especially Rain, and, yes, I'm a hypocrite for using Sand; in my defense, at least it's not Rain. This is a Sand team based around Dracozolt, as I wanted to use it because Bolt Beak hits like a truck. Mixed Dracozolt was the way to go as I could use Fire Blast to snipe Ferrothorn and Draco Meteor to snipe Grounds. I was told that the SpA EVs were to OHKO Ferrothorn. It doesn't, but it does 78-93%, meaning you can take care of it, or you free up the possibility of a Lele endgame like in this battle vs. Sample Rain w/my friend, yes this was a bit fast, and I didn't even use sand but still. Hippowdon is the hazard and weather setter with Stealth Rock and Sand Stream, respectively. Corviknight act as the defogger for the team. Mega Garchomp is a secondary abuser of the Sand with Sand Force, and can act as a cleaner with both Swords Dance and Scale Shot. Now, the old version of this team was weak to Weavile, so I changed the last two 'mons from Reuniclus and Ferrothorn to Tapu Fini and Tapu Lele. Tapu Fini provides a counter to Weavile and Greninja, and it can do it for prolonged periods of time thanks to Z-Haze recovering your health back to full while Tapu Lele provides an offensive check to Weavile with Scarf and Moonblast (Thunderbolt can be run over Psychic.). As you can tell by all the writing, this is my favorite team out of all of them in this dump.

SD Norm Z Kart

I've been trying to make this team work for a while now; an offense around SD Z Kart. Kartana cleans once all faster are taken care with its combination of Swords Dance and Beast Boost. Z-Giga Impact allows Kartana to take care of foes like Zapdos, but Tyranitar take care of it if has to save it for something else. Tyranitar also sets up Stealth Rock and Pursuit traps Mega Latias and the like. Magnezone takes care of Steels such as Corviknight, Skarmory, and Scizor that Kartana has a pain in the butt breaking through. While it still can, Zone just makes its job easier. Tapu Fini acts as the defogger, wallbreaker (stallbreaker too ig) with Taunt, and the Greninja switch-in. Lando-T has Hidden Power Ice to snipe (most importantly chip) Gliscor, Zapdos, opposing Lando-T, etc. because (and, no, I'm not going to make up an excuse for why I have HP Ice) I realized I had a second Stealth Rock setter and wasn't too sure what to put for its last move. Finally, Tapu Lele acts as the speed control finishing off and taking care of threats for Kartana.

Hope you enjoy!

Koko-tran! Heres the Paste!

Idk the purpose of this team I just thought of this up but yeah!

Tapu Koko - Using Thunderbolt can slap Slowbro, Fini, Greninja and Toxapex out of the game! It's pretty cool. Tapu Koko HP Ice Is useful for threats like Gliscor, Garchomp and More. Volt switch if you're in a scary situation and Dazzling Gleam for Dragon Types.

Gliscor - Gliscor is to defog and K.O Excadrill, Toxapex, Tyranitar, and more. Roost to survive :D

Heatran - Heatran is one of the most scary Pokemon Volcarona can encounter and it can deal so much damage. Stealth Rocks for setting up, Magma storm for Serperior, Rillaboom, Surperior, and Scizor. Toxic for stalling cause why not!

Urshifu - Urshifu is a really good Pokemon against, Excadrill, Tyranitar, Garchomp, Heatran, Landorus, Kyurem and Blaziken. :D

Mega-Lopunny - Mega Lopunny is a really great Mega! The Spread stats are honestly so good the speed and attack is really good and the learn set is great! Lopunny is for very threatful Pokemon like, Weavile, Lopunny(ofcourse), Greninja, Tyranitar, and more.

Ferrothorn - Ferrothorn is the main setter and can K.O Tapu Fini using power whip and can take out even more threatful mons like, Swampert, Seismitoad, Gyarados and More.

Thats it! Have Fun using the Team<3.

as of recent ive lost any and all passion which i used to have for nd, some of my close friends definitely know and some of yall probs could've figured it out by me stepping down from everything and generally not playing the tier anymore. as i dont think ill ever play nd again i felt appropriate to make a post sharing my favourite teams over the years, unfortunately i dont feel like writing that up so ill just leave this pokepaste which is a heavily edited version of my builder (alot of shit teams removed, rlly just my all time favourite teams in here). some are def outdated but who cares abt that.

This team is very nice for Volcarona, well I got traumatized cause of Volcarona so I decided to make this team that is good for almost any ladder? This is a really nice team, Landorus Defogger since Lando-T can tank and eat every single move there is except water and ice moves Kek. Heatran andTapu-Fini is the main counter for Volcarona cause neither can be weak to Volcarona and can just Taunt and slap Volcarona. Icium Kyurem, I picked Icium kyurem for a lot of reasons, because it'll make this even more offensive and it will make a great addition to the team since this can take out rotom-wash and any other water type(I think). Kartana and Lopunny are the main sweepers here, Scarfed Kartana because it is a very nice speed control and can take out so many mons(I actually wanted Latios to be in her but credits to georgebowserjr1 for helping me with this team). Lopunny has very nice Base Stats at Mega, this can take out weird mons like mega sabeleye etc. Thats it for this team hope you enjoy using it!

edit: I changed kyurem to icium z because this team is more offensive and it'd be better

Hello. I've lost muse for Competitive Pokemon recently. Ever since Megas and Z-Moves weren't allowed in Gen 8, there's where I lost interest, and decided to stick to Gen 7. But ever since I found out about this fun tier known as National Dex, my muse for Competitive Pokemon came back.

Volcanion Rain Offense
https://pokepast.es/3037a0cb0a8ff951

Standard fun powerful rain team built around Bulky Specs Volcanion and Rain Dance Mega Swampert, which got me into the 1500s on the ladder. 248 HP EVs to survive hits better. Volcanion is on the team to counter water moves with it's ability: Water Absorb. Not to mention, Volcanion's Steam Eruption in the rain hits like a truck:

252 SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Pelipper in Rain: 267-315 (82.6 - 97.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 248 HP / 244 SpD Scizor-Mega in Rain: 322-379 (93.8 - 110.4%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Zapdos in Rain: 442-522 (115.4 - 136.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Zapdos in Rain: 442-522 (115.4 - 136.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Unfortunatly, the team is countered to Kommo-O, and other dragons on the ladder. Kartana, Rillaboom, Kyruem, and Zapdos are a nuisance and a threat to this team.

Original team: ND SSNL - R4-G3 - Fightinium Z Kartana [Original Post]
Revised team: Fightinium Z Lele, Dual Scarf + MTar

I've always wanted to build a team around Lele + Kart (which sounds stupid I know, how hard could that be?) but if y'all know me, you know I'm pretty terrible at building from scratch. If I was ever going to build around these two, it was always going to be Fightinium Z Lele and Scarf Kart. Personally I think Lele is a mid scarf user, whereas Kart is among the best. With Lele's coverage, it operates as an insane wallbreaker (and certified stallbreaker) when not choice locked, and given how threatening its choice locked sets can be, it's incredibly easy to bait and remove its checks with this set. Calm Mind + Fight Z lets it muscle through its common checks such as Heatran, Corviknight, (a chipped) Mega Scizor, Blissey, and Chansey. Scarf Kart on the other hand needs no introduction, nor explanation—we all know what it's here to accomplish.

The only other change to this team was to the Toxapex:
  • First, shoutout my guy ong for suggesting I swap Black Sludge for an Eject Button. This item provides incredible utility in allowing Pex to pivot in, take a hit, and immediately pivot out, going so far as to even prevent the opposing Pokemon from switching out with its own pivot move. Oftentimes, this allows Mega Tyranitar to come in and either set up Rocks safely since the Toxapex pivot provided a valuable scout, or allow MTar to Pursuit trap the opposing Pokemon that's locked into their own pivot move, and deal double damage to them on their way out (if you send any Victinis to their deaths with this strategy, please invite me to the funeral #RIPBOZO #VictiniPack). Furthermore, given this is a Specially Defensive Toxapex, using this item early allows it to take Knock Offs from Banded Weaviles without getting 2HKOed.
  • The second change I made was to give it Toxic Spikes over Toxic. Seeing as the team has a strong matchup against Flying types and other Ground immunities, as well as Poison types, Toxic Spikes was used to further pressure Poison/Toxic status against the opposing team while Toxapex wasn't on the field, and add to the hazard stack, forcing the opponent to pivot into their hazard removers often and either take chip while doing so (Defog Fini), or let MTar come in and wreak havoc against non-grounded defoggers such as Zapdos, Corviknight, MLati, etc.
Now the original team had Landorus-T as the scarfer... and that hasn't changed here. Double scarf might seem like overkill, but given this team’s great matchup against Flying types and ground immunities, scarf Lando can operate as a powerful sweeper once its checks/walls are removed. Furthermore, I like that it can be used to confuse the opponent as to which mon is the scarfer on this team. Looking at the team, there are 3 viable scarfers in Lele, Kart, and Lando (not to mention 4 viable Z-move users in Lele, Kart, Lando, and Zapdos). Revealing just one of the three aforementioned mons' sets can be used to lull your opponent into a false sense of security that the revealed set is the only scarfer, and add further to the mind games.

This team has an incredible matchup against all types of weather thanks to MTar. Zapdos threatens Rain, Scart Kart threatens both Rain and Sand, and MTar threatens both Sun and Hail (and I guess Peli on Rain too). As previously established, CM Lele is something of a nightmare for stall/fat cores, and adding MTar's ability to Pursuit trap only reinforces this team's stall/fat matchup. This team struggles against HO, but can be beaten if played well.

Biggest opp by far:
scizor-mega.gif

Don't drop the Heat Wave early with Zapdos, it's pretty much your only way of removing MSciz outside of dropping the Z with Lele while it's in range. Otherwise, you'll have to play the long game with Pex fishing for burns and hazing away SD boosts.

This is a team I made for a friend, who's fav Pokemon were Scizor and Garchomp. I peaked at around 1630s.

Team Roles:

Scizor: Very threatening, great for momentum with u-turn, sd + technician bullet punch takes out a lot.

Rotom-Wash: Great for getting rocks off the field with defog, hydro pump to nail ground types, volt switch for momentum, will-o for kart and boom.

Garchomp: If you can get off a sd, you can get rid of much of their team. at +3, you can reliably take out lando-t with continental crush. Classic quakedge combo, can set up rocks if you want them.

Heatran: Resident SpDef Tank, does heatran things. Rocks, Toxic, MS, and Earth Power for other heatrans.

Lando-T: Scarf for speed control, u-turn for positioning, EQ to spam after they have no resists, punishment for set-up sweepers, stone edge for coverage.

Kartana: Secondary speed control, knock off to remove items, can very easily snowball with beast boost. Not much else to say here.

This team got me to around 1400 in ND AG you can switch cinderace out for a different Pokemon to make it OU after a certain point you have to use legends either way. I start out with either shuckle or lopunny depending on the situation and go from there. I save regi for end battling so I can set up and then it's just gg by then. I've had no problems with ditto either my whole team basically counters each other. Just try not to set up to much if you see a ditto. There not normally running scarf anymore just to trick you so it depends on speed ties at that point.

Any viable ditto will be running choice scarf.

A repost of my RMT: BLEND S (pokepast.es)
:blacephalon: :heatran: :tapu_fini: :lopunny_mega: :moltres_galar: :landorus_therian:

Blacephalon is a potential sweeper for the team which has great speed and great offense, paired with its ability, Beast Boost, and a choice scarf, this monster is terrifying, Trick is used to lock in an opposing mon that is usually more of a staller, and Flamethrower and Shadow ball are both decent 100% accurate attacks, and Overheat is to kill the mons that just needs a bit more damage than Flamethrower.

Heatran is a Bulky beast that can live quite a lot of stuff, while killing those that are too slow while tanking those that are faster, Magma Storm, even though it has bad accuracy, is a powerful move that can also trap the opposing pokemon, Taunt is used to force the opponents to stop stalling Heatran with status category moves, Earth Power is just great coverage which includes a 1v1 against an opposing Heatran and Stealth Rock is used when you can set it up while the opponent is stalling or using protect.

Tapu Fini is also a very bulky pokemon that can be used to tank damage while doing damage back and quite a few cool stuff like Defog, Moonblast, scald, and Nature's Madness is used to chip the opponents health until they are dead or kill a frail but fast pokemon after tanking a hit, and Defog is used when there are too many hazards on the field and it needs to get cleared.

Mega Lopunny is a fast and powerful physical attacker, here we have the Power-Up Punch set to boost it's attack with power up punch when lopunny is about to score a kill, Frustration and Close combat are very powerful physical moves and can do massive damage to quite a number of pokemon used in the meta, Encore is used to trap slower pokemon trying to set up or do some shenanigans and stop it in its tracks, its ability when it mega evolves, Scrappy, helps so it still does damage to pokemon that used to be immune to Mega Lop's hits.

Moltres-Galar is not used much in this metagame, but I thought it will be fun to see it be used, so it does best at being a potential sweeper by first setting up Nasty Plot and Agility when given the opportunity, then spam Hurricane and Fiery Wrath appropriately to score some kills, and make your opponent rage, Berserk is great when it tanks a hit to below half health and gains +1 Special attack, to deal more massacre, and Flynium Z is used to kill a pokemon that just wont die to a regular hurricane.

This Landorus Therian set can be used as a bulky pivot to another pokemon that can be used to sweep or deal the most impact on the opposing player's team, Defog is used to clear regular hazards as usual, Earthquake is used when needed to deal some damage to non-flying and levitating pokemon if needed, U-turn is used to pivot, and HP Ice is used to surprise other lando's.

Ayo, I love this team! Z Manaphy switching up either rain dance for the sweep or just nuking MFs with hydro is def a real pull. I laddered like crazy with this team but kept getting walled by unaware clef or bodied by rain. Switched Serp up for timid kart and Volcarona to SD flame charge Zard X and got higher than i ever have been on the ladder before! Top 400 baby!
