National Dex UU Role Compendium ​

Welcome to the National Dex UU Role Compendium. This thread aims to cover the various selection of Pokémon that are considered to be viable in the metagame as per the given role they fill, which will be labeled in the given sections below if they fill that role well. Said Pokémon are placed in order of viability just simply off the role they are being used for.

Feel free to discuss if a Pokémon needs to be removed from a section or if one needs to be added. The Pokémon are currently categorized as such:

To commemorate the release of NDPL IV, this resource has received a much-needed revamp. In addition, I have also created a brand new section for Checks/Counters to specific Pokemon within the metagame, feel free to suggest listings for any Pokemon which you feel may have been omitted.
 
This was already announced on the NDUU discord but the Role Compendium has been updated to be more inline with the current metagame. There were minor updates that went unnoticed but this one is a big revamp.

Just a few small updates to the Role Compendium this time
  • Removed Mons like Mega Tyranitar and Iron Hands that have risen to OU or were banned.
  • Removed outdated/unviable options in certain roles to allow for the Compendium to be more accurate and helpful in the teambuilding process.
  • Removed the Checks and Counters section, with a new thread coming soon featuring exclusively Checks and Counters for premier threats in the tier.
