Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Hello everyone! Welcome to National Dex UU Speed Tiers! (A Resource i made so you don't have to). The purpose of this thread is to have a visual list of the current National Dex UU Meta Speed Tiers. If you have anything to propose feel free to post (just not specific speed creepings, especially on such an early meta)
Hello everyone! As of right now (October 29) Speed Tiers have finally gotten an update! Apologizing for how much it took and how outdated it looked but hey better late than never (yey)
I'll summarise a bit of what has been implemented in this update:
New Pokemon from the Teal Mask DLC added
Added and removed Pokemon affected by tier shifts or bans
Set Compendium spreads have been added!
A few unranked mons (besides the new stuff) having time to stay until a VR update happens
If there's an error or something that you think is missing, let me know in PS or Discord. With that i hope everyone has a good day! cya later (or maybe now since i'm just lurking around anyway)
Speed Tiers have been updated to allow for more accurate building during the Summer Seasonal! Major updates for every speed tier, as well as ensuring that only notable benchmarks or meta-relevant Mons are listed. If you do not see a Mon here, it is because it is considered irrelevant/unviable. If you would like to see that Mon on the list, make a post here explaining why, and be sure to check the VR and make a post there to ensure it is represented in the meta!
Here is a list of the changes made:
Added Pokemon that have been ranked (or just plain forgotten ) since the last Speed Tiers update.
Removed Pokemon that have been banned, unranked, or risen to OU :(.
Removed certain Speed Tiers to ensure only important/relevant Speed Tiers are mentioned. This will ensure that this resource is more concise and useful.
For example: +4 Excadrill (getting to +4 is unlikely to happen regularly in a match), or 0 Speed Mew (Mew should always be invested to outspeed +Speed base 60s, as the value that provides against foes like Aegislash or Magnezone far outweighs the utility of 20 EVS.)
Added certain Speed Creeps, given that the metagame is very developed and generally stable, and certain speed benchmarks have been established as relevant.
For example: 157 Speed to outspeed Clefable, or 241 Speed to outspeed +Speed Aegislash or Magnezone.
Consolidated crowded Speed Tiers to one row for Pokemon with the same raw and Base Speed stat.
For example: Aegislash, Clefable and Swampert at base 60, or -Speed Nature Slowbro and Slowking.
Also huge shout out to Lupla as without their groundwork updating the Speed Tiers would be incredibly tedious!
Feel free to reach out to me or another member of the NDUU Council if you have any questions or see an error on the sheet!
