Hey there, my name is Brawlfest, and if you do not know me I absolutely adore writing and rating RMT's, and specialize in NU. However, I do enjoy dabbling in other tiers. This is my 11th RMT, and my first in XY RU. I've enjoyed using this team, and would like to share it due to its success on the ladder as well as in private matches. It has served me very nicely, and takes on the role of Bulky Offense in a tier which really is seeing a lot of HO spam. I've tried to build around the core of Emboar / Sigilyph / Spiritomb, which offers absolutely mind-boggling support. Sigilyph is the distinct best stallbreaker in the meta, Spiritomb is demonstrated as the best trapper, and Emboar wallbreaks like no other pokemon in XY RU. For this reason the core functions reliably well especially on bulky offensive teams, as they have amazing defensive and offensive synergy, and together are near impossible for another team to get past. In order to support the team, I've also incorporated GlueMon Pivots such as Amoonguss and Rhyperior to help me deal with some of the metagame's top threats, such as Milotic and Raikou. Overall as a Bulky Offense player naturally, this team serves me very well, and is not only very effective, but is very enjoyable for me to use. I've named the team one of my new favorite albums of this year, Native. I've always loved OneRepublic, and when I first heard Native, I actually wasn't that fond of it, but the album as a whole grew on me. I would like to share with you all my great team, and hope to receive some nice advise on how to improve it!

Teambuilding:

442.png
500.png

As I stated, I started with this core. It plays as a simple bulky offense core, with Sigilyph stallbreaking, Spiritomb acting as offensive utility via burns and pursuit, and Emboar playing the role of a mixed wallbreaker to beat down walls on both sides of the defensive spectrum.
561.png
442.png
500.png
464.png

Next, I added rhyperior. I noticed that Sigilyph was looking for a tank to help absorb electric and stone type attacks while not losing out on offensive pressure, so I sought to use Rhyperior, whom sets up precious rocks that this core appreciates, but also aids in acting as a first reaction check to random crap.
561.png
442.png

464.png

I'm extremely fond of pivots on any team I have ever built, and this is no exception. The fact was I was extremely water and fairy weak, and Amoonguss lets be consistently pivot into and out of them, while mindlessly absorbing Thunder Wave, Toxic, and Sleep Powder to support teammates.

Finally, I added a pokemon I was absolutely farmiliar with as an NU player. Kangaskhan is absolutely one of my favorite pokemon, and it is such a good revenge killer, not only utilizing dual priority to outpace relavant sweepers, but also being a catch all backbone to the team against ghosts.

____________________________________
Strategy:

The key strategy to using this team is to recognize that there are two similar, but very separate cores. Sigilyph/Spiritomb/Emboar, and Amoonguss/Rhyperior. As I've said before, Spiritomb and Emboar should be played in a way that removes key offensive and defensive threats to sigilyph. They are more often than not brought in extremely early in the game to scout what the opponent thinks can check each of them, so that I can make the proper double switch to the other to beat the "check". Amoonguss and Rhyperior then are played as the bulky pivots of the team, having extremely good synergy together. Amoonguss switches into grass, water, fighting, and ground (somewhat) for Rhyperior, who switches into flying and fire types for amoonguss. This allows me to go completely defensive if necessary in order to bring back momentum, which is perfectly alright. Kangaskhan is really the glue of my team against hyper offense, as no pokemon really wants to switch into it's powerful fake out + sucker punch more than once unless it is defensive.

573.png
632.png

Hyper Offense:
The key to beating offense is Spiritomb and Kangaskhan. Their powerful priority makes Hyper Offense futile and rethink whether they should actually attack. Just with these two most offensive teams will be severely crippled, as they will have absolutely no ability to setup, and barely room to even attack.

683.png
594.png

Stall:
Sigilyph. Amoonguss if necessary, but this is pretty self explanatory. If any stall archetype can get past a combination of Sigilyph and Emboar, I have yet to seen it, as together they are nigh unwallable and need no further explanation.

579.png
589.png

Trick Room:
In order to beat trick room, you will need to rely more on the Amoonguss/Rhyperior core than normal, as they function very well in trick room and can help to abuse it. In order to waste turns, Spiritomb and Emboar's Sucker Punches, will definitely help, and Kangaskhan's Fake Out + Sucker Punch is absolutely essential. Once all this is performed and the opponent lacks a trick room setter, the normal strategy kicks back into play.

146.png
479-mow.png

VoltTurn:
While it isn't the hardest playstyle for my team to beat, it is the trickiest. My team thrives on the fact that my opponent lacks momentum, but VoltTurn thrives on the fact that it is able to gain momentum. This said, Rhyperior is a very good check to most VoltTurn, as Stealth Rocks significantly wear it down, and a resistance to bug + immunity to volt switch is a plus. On top of this, Roar can get rid of momentum if need be. I also enjoy spamming fake out.

460-mega.png
479-frost.png

Hail:
Mega Abomasnow is a massive threat to the team depending on what coverage it carries. The simplest answer to beating a hail team is Emboar, who between Fire Blast, Grass Knot, and Sucker Punch wears down the entire team to the point that when it dies there should in theory be 2-3 mons left, at which point Sigilyph goes in to spam Heat Wave.

641.png
139.png

Rain:
Rain is a big threat against this team, more dangerous than any of the previously mentioned playstyles. In order to fight it, I really need to play well, as once swift swimmers are brought in it is extremely hard to stop. For this reason, I become extremely reliant on Amoonguss to tank hits from Kabutops, Ludicolo, and Omastar, and Kangaskhan to revenge kill them and help to stall rain turns.

488.png
465.png

Balance / Bulky Offense:
Balance is dangerous only because I never know what kind of cores they are going to bring, and what kind of synergy they rely on. It really is a gamble on how to prepare purely for it, and the simplest answer is just to predict well. As long as you out predict, out bulky offense team should beat any other fine. Amoonguss helps to relieve a lot of stress from Balance, and can wear them down quickly for Sigilyph.

Sigilyph @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic / Psyshock
- Calm Mind
- Roost
- Heat Wave

The sweeper that the team was made around, meet what I believe is the best psychic type in XY RU. Sigilyph is an absolute monster sweeper and stallbreaker against offensive and defensive teams alike due to its unique stat spread, great coverage, and amazing ability. With an astonishing 97 base speed, it outspeeds most offensive teams and is extremely hard to revenge kill, while packing 103 special attack to punch major holes after a single calm mind. It also has a respectable 72/80/80 defensive spread, meaning most defensive teams will need to rely on residual damage to take it down...but it has Magic Guard! This alone makes it one of the best sweepers, ignoring hazards as it comes in, and disregarding its own Life Orb's recoil or the toxic / burn thrown at it in a futile attempt to wear it down. Psychic is my primary STAB, and while Psyshock might be interesting if you want to win CM wars, they frankly are not all that common, and for that reason Psychic is more reliable, dealing more damage in general and also having the chance to lower an opponent's Sdef. This said, Psyshock makes Sigilyph far less wall-able and also makes it a more effective CM war mon, which also makes it a favorable option on the team if necessary. Heat Wave is my coverage move of choice alongside it, beating Escavalier and other steel types, and getting near-neutral coverage alongside Psychic. Overall, Sigilyph's amazing stat spread, movepool, and ability makes it one of XY RU's top threats, being able to check a bunch of offensive mons like Hitmonlee, Emboar, and Gallade, while also countering a shitton of defensive mons like Aromatisse, Alomomola, and Milotic. I really appreciate its ability to sweep on the team, but more importantly to support the team against the majority of teams, helping me break through Hyper Offense and Stall alike, proving itself to be one of RU's best pokemon. Once Sigilyph is done with an opponent, all they are capable of doing is laying on the ground and straight up just Counting Stars.

Spiritomb @ Dread Plate
Ability: Infiltrator
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
- Shadow Sneak / Destiny Bond
- Will-O-Wisp

I love Offensive Spiritomb way more than I should. I used him on every RU team I had last gen, and I am still addicted to it. It hits way harder than most people expect, and it baits out fairy types for Amoonguss well. More importantly, it pursuit traps Ghosts and Psychics for the rest of my mons, and often puts in far too much hurt against offensive teams who have absolutely no way to take a sucker punch from it. Spiritomb is 100% the best offensive utility in the metagame. People think I'm joking but I'm honestly not. It is beyond bulky, and guarantees it will tank any relavant hit in the current metagame, and retaliates with one of the strongest Sucker Punches in the game. The thing about Sucker Punch + Pursuit is the great mindgames it plays, allowing me to make the opponent have more opportunities to choke, potentially winning me the game. The moveset is fairly simple. Sucker Punch is the main STAB, hitting hard as balls and beasting most offensive mons unable to tank more than 1. It also bypasses Spiritomb's poor speed stat, which due to priority becomes irrelevant, making Spiritomb an extremely reliable bulky attacker. Pursuit is the crux of the set, guaranteeing revenge kills on stuff like Cresselia and Sigilyph who absolutely do not want to stay in on Spiritomb, or just to finish off weakened pokemon. Shadow Sneak is honestly filler to hit fighting types or fairy types that resist my dark STABs, but Destiny Bond is really cool because you can potentially use it when you know you can tank one more hit, preventing the opponent from attacking the next turn, giving you a free opportunity to either burn or pursuit them. Will-O-Wisp cripples physical attackers, making them useless against the rest of my mons, and helps me wear down bulky walls. Overall, Spiritomb is a top meta pokemon, beating a lot of common pokemon (lol it 6-0'd a team the other day), and offers invaluable utility and resistances to my team that no single other pokemon can. Whenever I bring in my Spiritomb, the opponent should be ready to say Au Revoir to their pokemon.

Amoonguss @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 44 SAtk / 116 SDef / 88 Def / 8 Spd
Calm Nature
- Giga Drain
- Toxic / Spore
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power [Fire] / Synthesis

The gluemon is here. Amoonguss is absolutely one of my favorite pokemon of all time. I love its cute design, amazing bulk, and great overall stats. It's absolutely one of the most reliable offensive and defensive pivots out there, and is an incredible pivot for my team. Like I said, it is the glue of the team, pulling it through against pokemon like RP Rhyperior, ProTox Poliwrath, Milotic, and Raikou. There is no way my team would function without Amoonguss, and while it isn't one of the pokemon I built the team around, it is most definitely one of the, if not the most important pokemon on the team to keep the team as a whole functioning. The EV spread allows me to rest assured that I avoid a lot of 2HKO and OHKO's in the RU meta, such as Lilligant's HP Fire at +2, any of Specs Clawitzer's moves, LO Raikou's HP Ice, and tons of other shit. This amazing spread gives me awe dropping mixed bulk, allowing me to reliably pivot into at least one attack, regardless of what it is. 8 Speed EVs are because I'm that guy who creeps all the shit, and the rest of the EV's don't aid my bulk anymore, as none of the current OHKO's become 2HKO, and no 2HKOs become 3HKO's, so I just threw the rest into my Special Attack to hit as hard as possible. Giga Drain is my primary STAB that helps me deal with most of the tier's water types, as well as helping to recover nice chunks of HP. Sludge Bomb is my secondary STAB, and also my hardest hitting attack on the set. It deals with Fairy and Grass types absurdly well, and helps me spread poison to wear down bulky mons. Toxic and Spore help me spread status, but honestly while Spore seems better, I prefer Toxic. It simply helps me stall out so many mons, and helps me wear down walls for my other pokemon who really appreciate it's spread. Spore is ok..But it was severely nerfed this gen with the switching in and out wake up thing, and it being ineffective on grass types. In my filler, I often use Hidden Power [Fire] to catch Escavalier among other stuff, but it is pretty weak, and Synthesis is appreciated for reliable recovery. Regenerator is what makes the set clutch though helping to recover while pivoting. At the end of the match, I can always confidently say that because of Amoonguss, I Lived through the fight.

Kangaskhan @ Silk Scarf
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Double-Edge
- Sucker Punch
- Earthquake

Ask any of the NU Guys how often I use Kangaskhan. Honestly, when I thought about my team being setup sweeper and ghost weak, I had no other pokemon in mind. Silk Scarf Kangaskhan is pretty much a massive BW NU Staple, and functions equally well in XY RU. This single pokemon guarantees that offensive teams, weather teams, turn reliant strategies, and setup sweepers aren't ever a threat. Unlike a standard scarfer, Kangaskhan isn't choice locked, and unlike other Fake Out revenge killers, Kangaskhan isn't afraid of ghosts switching in. Silk Scarf is used over Life Orb, as a combination of Life Orb and four attacking moves, most notably Double Edge wear Kangaskhan down far too quickly. Earthquake and Sucker Punch are solidly strong as is, and thus the Life Orb boost isn't needed. Oftentimes Kangaskhan either needs to weather a hit by using its respectable bulk, or has to check more than one pokemon in a match, and that much Life Orb recoil just isn't appreciated. Silk Scarf boosts your primary STABs which you will be using 80% of the time just fine, which makes it more reliable on Kangaskhan, and you really lose very little power anyways. The EV spread is pretty simple, maximizing my attack and defense so that I can always get the revenge kill. I chose Adamant over Jolly because reasons, and also I wanted to get the most bang for buck in my dual priority. In terms of the moveset, it is also very self explanatory. Fake Out is the selling point of Kangaskhan, as when equipped with Scrappy, it revenge kills Exploud, Mega Banette, and everything in between. If the Fake Out happened not to kill, Kangaskhan has a second weapon up its sleeve, a second priority move. The third Sucker Punch on my team, it is critical that Kangaskhan packs it, as oftentimes it gives the extra "push" needed to KO a low mon if Fake Out does not do the job. Double Edge is the mandatory primary STAB, and while it does have recoil, it is chosen over Return as the difference on 18 base power actually gives Kangaskhan many KO's it normally is unable to achieve. Finally, Earthquake is added as coverage, as Normal / Ground pretty much hits everything in the tier neutrally, and Earthquake can basically neuter any Rock or Steel types trying to absorb my hits. I always look to Kangaskhan If I Lose Myself against sweepers in battle.

Emboar @ Life Orb / Assault Vest
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 172 Spe / 148 SAtk / 152 Atk / 32 HP / 4 Def
Mild Nature
- Fire Blast
- Grass Knot
- Superpower
- Sucker Punch / Stone Edge

MixedBoar is way too good, and way too underrated. There is honestly in my opinion no better fire type in the current tier. Simply put, it cannot be walled. It is absolutely the best wall breaker. While traditional physical wallbreakers such as CB Emboar or LO Archeops fail to break through Alomomola or Cresselia, and special wallbreakers such as Moltres and Clawitzer find difficulty punishing Aromatisse or Lickilicky, Mixed Emboar just makes the best of both worlds. The fact is, my team really lacked a wall breaker on both sides, as well as a good check to hail. I was trying to fill in my core of Sigilyph, Spiritomb, ___ so my search began, and I went through CB Boar, Specs Magmortar, and Specs Delphox, but never liked anything. Finally, I came across Mixed Emboar, and I had the basis of the team completed. The EV spread allows me to always OHKO Delphox with Sucker Punch, 2HKO Gligar with Fire Blast, while outspeeding speed creeping base 85 pokemon! While Life Orb does seem like the optimal weapon for the set, Emboar also has amazing bulk and defensive typing, and this set also gets a great boon from bluffing choiced attacks. For this reason, I really love Assault Vest as well, but in general Life Orb is better. Absolutely nothing, and I mean nothing wants to come in on a STAB 120 base power Life Orb boosted Fire Blast or Superpower. These two STABs alone can maim or outright OHKO the majority of the tier, blasting through steel, grass, rock, ice, bug, normal, and dark super effectively, just between those two. In fact, those two alone pretty much hit the majority of the tier neutrally. In order to hit water types harder and more reliably, I also use Grass Knot, which completely fucks over Milotic or Clawitzers coming in, and has great coverage also alongside Fire Blast to take down ground and rock types as well, OHKO'ing Rhyperior. Finally in my filler space, I use either Sucker Punch or Stone Edge, each of which has merits. Sucker Punch is the preferred option, as really pretty much nothing resists the combination of the earlier three moves, and so priority helps to bypass Emboar's rather dissipointing speed. It also hits some of Emboar's threats, such as Azelf, Delphox, or Sigilyph trying to revenge kill it super effectively. However, I do appreciate Stone Edge's added coverage, and some pokemon which resist all of my previous moves include Moltres, Delphox, and Draglage, all of whom Stone Edge hits pretty hard as well as perfecting the neutral coverage. Overall, once Emboar comes into play, he's going to take the opponent's team and simply Light It Up.

Something I Need
Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 248 HP / 92 Def / 16 Atk / 148 SDef / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Rock Blast
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Roar [Dragon Tail] / Megahorn / Toxic

Rhyperior is without a doubt one of the best pivots for offensive teams in the metagame, and the most reliable stealth rocker as well. With monstrously high 115 / 130 / 55 defenses alongside one of the most broken defensive abilities out there in Solid Rock, Rhyperior is the definition of a tank. It can just about absorb any unboosted hit from the metagame, and offers key resistances to flying and fire types to allow my team to function at its fullest. My immediate check to shit like Moltres or Tornadus, not only helping me check them, but phaze them out as well. This EV spread lets me speed creep uninvested 40's like opposing Rhyperior, since I love to speed creep. The 248 HP hits a key leftovers number, and the rest is balanced between Def, SDef, and Attack so that I can tank to the best of my ability. It should be noted that with the given defensive spread, I can weather a +6 Play Rough from Slurpuff and roar it out, which is a very nice plus on a team which really has difficulty preventing its Belly Drum.Obviously I need Stealth Rock to wear down some of the metagame's top threats, and thus helping to support my sweepers, who need them up to get key KO's. Rock Blast is my STAB of choice over Stone Edge, as it is more reliable than Stone Miss, has a chance to hit even harder, breaks Substitutes, and beats Ninjask, who I just don't want to see passing shit. Earthquake is a nice overall STAB as it is more reliable than Rock Blast in general, and just naturally hits shit hard, dealing far more damage than I would expect off a barely invested 140 base Attack. Finally looking at the bottom of my move set, I have quite a variety of moves being used. This space is honestly filler, and just about anything can go there. Roar is my favorite option, and you may think me crazy not to use Dragon Tail, but let me explain. Substitute sweepers are just too common in the current metagame, and fairies such as Slurpuff really couldn't give two fucks about a Dragon Tail. Dragon Tail also has a fair chance of missing, potentially fucking up my game. For this reason I choose Roar, which is a far more reliable phazing move in the current state of the meta. Megahorn is my first alternative to it, as it covers Grass types such as Sceptile or Tangrowth beautifully, and gives them some food for thought if they try to switch in. Toxic is just a cool filler, as my team as I've stated earlier loves to wear down the opponent, and Toxic just aids that process. Another gluemon like Amoonguss, Rhyperior is key to the success of this team. Rhyperior is absolutely just Something I Need almost every game.

Other/Past Options:

208.png

Steelix @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 44 Spd / 252 Atk / 212 HP
Adamant Nature
- Iron Head / Iron Tail
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide / Crunch
- Stealth Rock

Omg please try this set over Rhyperior it isn't as good but it is so damn good. Whenever I need a pokemon which is not Rhyperior (further stabilized by Dat Blast 's suggestion), I choose LO Sheer Force Steelix. It is a great tank, but still deals hefty damage to opponents, making it a one of a kind lead and SR Tank.

488.png

Cresselia @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 248 HP / 8 Def
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Calm Mind
- Substitute
- Moonblast / Moonlight

Cresselia can be a very nice option over Sigilyph in terms of a good stallbreaker, as they essentially fit a similar role, but for me, Cresselia suffers serious 4MSS. If it runs no Substitute, it is crippled easily by status, and if it does, it either lacks coverage or recovery. Regardless steels wall it, and it just has difficulty getting past a lot of the tier because of its lowish base SAtk. Still a really cool option if you wanna try it.

573.png

Cinccino @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Skill Link
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Tail Slap
- Bullet Seed
- Rock Blast
- U-turn

I had Cinccino over my Kangaskhan in the archaic version of the team, but the Scarf really limits its ability. It is relatively weak as a revenge killer, and Tail Slap is not exactly the most reliable STAB to be revenge killing with. Regardless, it is very fast, and has access to good coverage and U-Turn, making it a cool option over Khan.

132.png

Ability: Imposter
EVs: 252 Def / 248 HP / 8 SDef
Bold Nature
IVs: 2 Atk / 30 SAtk / 3 Spd
- Transform

Like Cinccino this is an option over Kangaskhan, but its biggest issue is its inability to revenge kill Substitute pokemon, or pokemon who have recovery. For this reason it is severely outclassed by Khan, but it is cool since you can turn an opponent's sweeper into your own.

621.png

Druddigon @ Leftovers
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Atk
Careful Nature
- Dragon Tail
- Earthquake
- Glare / Toxic
- Stealth Rock

It offers some cool unique resistances to the team over Rhyperior, but lets be real why the fuck would I use it over Rhyperior lol.

This thing simply can beat Rhyperior, Sigilyph, and Spiritomb straight up while making sure other mons are unable to switch in. This said, Amoonguss is able to tank any attack from it, while Khan and Emboar are able to deal relavant amounts of damage to it to kill it 1v1.

Mr. Mime:
This thing is the most fucking annoying thing that my team needs to face. The fact that it is an offensive fairy with some solid power, good speed, while being able to use psychic to remove my fairy check is not a fun thing at all. Sigilyph can take any one attack from full health, Kangaskhan always beats it, and Shadow Sneak helps, but outside of that it really makes sure nothing switches in.

Spiritomb:
Specifically defensive tomb, it simply spreads status so quickly, while being one of few defensive pokemon to be able to somewhat beat Sigilyph. Dark Pulse variants are taken down by Sigilyph, but if rough play switch to Emboar or Amoonguss and try to widdle it down as much as is possible for Khan.

Well I hope you enjoyed reading this new RU Beta RMT. I've really enjoyed experimenting with this team and the tier as a whole, and I can tell this will be a fun one. I'm putting this here now so that I can go focus on my finals, and so feel free to drop a rate and possibly a luvdisc! Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed looking at the team as much as I enjoyed making and writing it up!

Thanks,
Brawlfest

gallade weak fix pls ty

also ty for making me first shoutout
fagfest <3
Gallade 2 stronk also u already know ur #1 on mah liiiisssstttt jonjon <333

Alright but seriously my method of countering Gallade is very simple. I do have problems if it is a lum berry variant, but typically Amoonguss can tank 1 psycho cut and go for a spore/toxic. Then, Spiritomb resists both of its main STABs and either Will-O / Shadow Sneak until it dies.

Sigilyph sorta can handle it if its one of those mono-attacking ones without Ice Punch..

Thanks bro for the threat check, Imma go see if there are any more significant ways to patch up the team against Gallade!

airballoon for emboar so you can check mix aboma

increase amoongus def so you can take zangoose facade

yw i totally did not steal that from you

Hello Brawlfest, this team is excellent! However, I do have a few comments.

Emboar's EV Spread should be 172 Spe / 148 SAtk / 152 Atk / 32 HP / 4 Def, with a Naughty Nature. With this spread, Sucker Punch always OHKOs Delphox, Fire Blast 2HKOs Gligar (and the Speed lets you outspeed up to 8 Spe variants!), and Grass Knot always OHKOs Rhyperior. The other 36 EVs go into bulk.

The only other problem I see is that Dark-types do serious worl against this team, but that's fairly minor and idk what to suggest there. Good job!

Good suggestion! Tbh Dark types only cause trouble on Sigilyph, and can be checked by Emboar. Definitely implemented the cool EV spread! :]

So I don't really rate RU teams or anythin but I'll take a whack at this one bc why not :] CB Drudd looks pretty ugly to face since it pretty much kills ur whole team with Outrage alone. Steelix might have some potential over Rhyperior since it can keep it in check and still has a lot of Rhyperior's resistances / immunities to Electric / Rock / Flying / etc. Moltres weakness is real tho :( so I guess maybe Slowking over Amoonguss might work since it checks that + retains Regen + still resists Water + Fighting.

This rate is prolly shit but w/e hope I helped :) <3

Steelix @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Atk / 44 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Iron Head
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide

I'm sure you're familiar with this set n_n

Slowking @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 144 Def / 116 SDef
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Slack Off
- Psyshock
- Thunder Wave / Toxic

Another option is AV but you lose status support :[

OMGEEE MY STEELIX SET SUCH GOOD <3

I love the idea though! It even offers more resistances than Rhyperior, so this is definitely a really nice idea, most definitely will test.

Slowking is a really cool idea, but there are some things I worry about. Firstly, I become more weak to dark and electric moves than before, and lack any check to Fairy types. Nice idea though! <3

Dat blast is king. Dat blast is god. <3

Adding both to Other Options until tested thouroughly! :]

HEY BB ILY :3

I really like this team, and it's especially nice to see a Sigilyph that's not that asshole cosmic power set. How do you usually deal with CM Reuniclus? That's what's been giving me problems, so I would suggest Drapion over Spiritomb. You lose Sucker Punch but there's already two other pokemon on the team with priority, and it still has Pursuit and comparable physical bulk to Spiritomb. It also does better against Cresselia since it's not weak to Moonblast.

Nice Idea, but it stacks a major ground weakness with Rhyperior and Emboar then! :[

Hey comic power sigi is gud, but this works better it depends on team-matchup and your team and bla bla bla.

nig try airballoon skuntank, will solve all your problems

skuntank.png

Skuntank @ Air Balloon
Ability: Aftermath
EVs: 184 Spd / 252 Atk / 72 SDef
Jolly Nature
- Sucker Punch / Night Slash
- Haze / Pursuit / Poison Jab
- Defog
- Taunt

set outspeeds smeargle so you can taunt but if you don't need to, then you can run a more bulkier set with a attack over taunt. better utility imo. don't betray the utilitytank.

Imo lack of black sludge recovery on Utilitank is a blowoff. Also no Infiltrator or Will-O SMH. cool set and drawing though, will definitely try it! :']
