Introduction
Hey Smogon! I have decided to come back to battling after a bit of a break and decided to try and get some wins under my belt in my favourite tier. The NU tier.
Another reason for this tier is so I can use 2 specific pokemon.
Zangoose and Seviper .. Natures Rivals!

So I was dead cert on using those two and decided to build a team to help them. Soo here it is and I seem to winning with it at the moment.

Team Building Process

There isnt much to say about my team building process but I will try to explain.
I had to use Zangoose and Seviper since they are the reason I am making this team. Both are good Attackers. Zangoose is a good Physical Attacker and Seviper a good Special Attacker.

Now I wanted to add some walls to my team.
So for my Special Wall I choose Articuno. In my opinion it has nice bulk. Plus it has the added bonus of bein able to heal itself as well as be a cleric for the team because it has Heal Bell.
For my Physical Wall I chose Musharna. Again its a wall with the healing move. However it has the move Calm Mind which boosts its SpDef and SpAtk! Which is never a bad thing. With the moves Psychic and Signal Beam it has OK coverage!

OK so I had a nice core to my team so i needed 2 more members.
Now with a bulky team there is always the sacrifice of power. What always helps with that?? Stealth Rocks!!
Soo I chose someone that can lay rocks as well as have a really nice bulk ... Carracosta!!
After using this I really like it! It has great Defence and nice power to back it up! Unless it gets taunted it normally gets SR's up!

OK. My last member?? ... Regigigas! Now I can here your groans now but hear me out.
What is the problem with Seviper?? ... Lack of Speed!! ... Now I will give Seviper Glare for some Parahax. But Regi is good at spreading the Parahax around with Thunder Wave. Plus it has great Special Defence!
Also with the use of Substitute there is always the very rare chance of reaching the 5 turns to get rid of Slow Start.

And there you have it!

In-Depth About The Team

zangoose.png

Zoro - Zangoose (M) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Toxic Boost
4 HP - 252 Atk - 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Facade
- Shadow Claw
- Close Combat
- Quick Attack

Member 1 of the Nature Rivals. Zangoose. Ever since it got its Dream World ability Toxic Boost its become a viable pokemon to use. The 50% Attack boost added to the power of Facade when you are poisoned gives you a move that will cause a dent in anything if not kill them. Shadow Claw will kill the ghost types that come in to block facade. Quick Attack is to hurt anything that is faster than Zangoose

Setsuna (F) - Seviper @ Expert Belt
Ability: Shed Skin
44 HP - 252 SpA - 212 Spe
Modest Nature
- Glare
- Sludge Bomb
- Flamethrower
- Giga Drain

Member 2 of the Nature Rivals .. Seviper! .. IMO the inferior of the two members. But it has nice Special Attack and Coverage. Its main problem is its speed. However with Glare for the parahax and speed cut.
With help from Regigigas it can cause some nice damage to the foe.
Sludge Bomb is a nice attack and STAB.
Flamethrower and Giga Drain is really nice coverage and helps gets some kills.

Anju - Articuno (~) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
248 HP - 8 Def - 252 SpDef
Calm Nature
- Ice Beam
- Roost
- Heal Bell
- Toxic

Here is my Special Wall .. Articuno! ... Just like its name says its Numero Uno! :D
The Ice Bird of Gen 1 has nice Special Defence. Roost is for the obvious healing move. Heal Bell is a great move to heal the rest of the team from those horrid toxic or burns.
Ice Beam is the STAB move to cause some damage and Toxic is probably one of my favourite moves of all time. I love this move!!

Musharna_by_arkeis_pokemon.png

Mariko - Musharna (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Syncronize
240 HP - 252 Def - 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Signal Beam
- Moonlight

Evolving from the 5th gen pokemon mentioned in the 1st gen ... Musharna my Physical Wall. I have come to like this, if to be honest I dont like its design xD
Its a great wall! With Calm Mind it gets even better! After even 1 Calm Mind it can cause some nice damage whilst walling things left, right and centre.
Phychic and Signal Beam is nice coverage.

565___carracosta_by_tails19950-d4btrml.png

Ciel - Carracosta (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Solid Rock
248 HP - 8 Atk - 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rocks
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
- Aqua Jet

Sooo here is the extra physical bulk in my team. Carracosta. His main objective is to lay SR on the field for some extra damage and to break some Focus Sashes. Waterfall is a great STAB move coming from a nice attack power. Stone Edge is always a great move to have.
Aqua Jet is nice move to counter the abysmal speed this has.

Regigigas_web.jpg

Rem - Regigigas @ Leftovers
Ability: Slow Start
252 HP - 4 Def - 252 SpDef
Careful Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Substitute
- Return
- Drain Punch

Now your groaning at seeing this arnt you? .. Your thinking why!! are you retarded?! ... but I like it!
It passes around the Parahax as well to help Seviper.
Return is a great STAB move which causes some nice damage even during Slow Start. Drain Punch is a great move with the added bonus of healing! :D .. that cant be bad now can it?
I have sometimes been lucky enough to last the 5 turns and get rid of Slow Start which then makes the damage this causes soo good :D.

Soo there you have my team. What do you think?

Have you considered switching carracosta out for torkoal (or armaldo, but i personally fin that thing useless). If your main special wall takes 50% from SR, it may be a good idea to have a good spinner. You can either go the standard 248/252/8 bold torkoal with Rapid Spin, SR, Lava Plume, and toxic/WoW/Toxic/Whatever other support move you desire.
You can also opt for a slightly more gimmicky spinning SmashKoal, with 252 spa/252 speed jolly, shell smash, earth power, flamethrower/fireblast, and rapid spin (or another coverage move, but that renders the whole point useless).
Of course, Armaldo is another option for a spinner, but i've personally had much more success with Torkoal. Besides it doesn't look like a complete derp.

If you don't want to go for a spinner (which is totally acceptable, by the way) you might want to consider an offensive variant of Articuno. Think about it this way: if you don't use Rapid Spin, every EV you invest in defenses you only get half out of it because you start off at half health. Sub / Roost / Hurricane / Ice Beam is trouble for a lot of teams, and it gives you a solid offensive core with Zangoose and Musharna.

If this change works, you might also consider Signal Beam < Heal Bell on Musharna itself. Just something to think about.

Good luck!

OK ... after using this team even more it has become easy to see that Articuno is the weak link with out a spinner. To be honest 'Cuno is the only thing that is really effected by rocks so what are some other good Special Walls in the NU tier?

I feel a different special wall would be better instead of changing Carracosta because 'Costa is good with its defence and able to set up rocks.

Sorry for the late rate! This is an interesting team that combines two completely different offensive Pokemon in Zangoose and Seviper. The other rates have been decent, but I'll rate this team as it is.

Regigigas isn't a horrible Pokemon, but I don't see much reason to use it over Lickilicky. Lickilicky with Body Slam and Heal Bell already combines some of the best aspects of both Regigigas and Articuno in one, while adding in a Wish Passer and Ludicolo check. Sure, Ghosts completely wall it, but you seriously cannot do anything to Ghosts with Regigigas regardless (Golurk is immune to T-wave, Misdreavus has Heal Bell, and Haunter has Substitute). This suggestion also leaves a free team slot for you to fill with a variety of possible roles.

A bulky pivot would be a nice addition to your team, especially one that can handle powerful Water types in the Rain (Samurott and Ludicolo being huge threats). Amoonguss would easily fulfill that particular role, even tanking an Ice Beam from either one at max HP and hitting back hard. If making your team even more defensive isn't suitable for you, then perhaps a good revenge killer to provide a bit of speed to your team would suffice. Scarf Rotom-S is a good option, at the very least outpacing +2 Gorebyss and +1 Samurott and reliably revenge killing them without having to resort to priority. If you want something with unique utility, SD Spiking Cacturne with Dark Gem may be of interest to you. You gain the ability to set up Spikes or Swords Dances at your own discretion, and the Dark Gem gives you the extra boost to take out Cinccino at +0 and Skuntank/Amoonguss at +2 with Sucker Punch.

Carracosta can easily afford to have an EV spread of Adamant 252 HP/ 252 Atk for more offensive presence. Since it is your only reliable check to Normal and Flying types, you may also want to consider Rocky Helmet over Leftovers. I don't know if you want both changes at once, since you lose some reliability, but either one of these changes would be pretty helpful for what you want Carracosta to do.

Changes:

Lickilicky>Regigigas
Amoonguss/Rotom-S/Cacturne>Articuno
Carracosta: Offensive Tank>Defensive Tank

Lickilicky @ Leftovers
Trait: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SDef
Careful Nature
- Wish
- Protect
- Body Slam
- Heal Bell

Amoonguss @ Black Sludge
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature
- Spore
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis

Rotom-S @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Air Slash
- Thunderbolt
- Trick

Cacturne @ Dark Gem
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Spikes/Substitute
- Sucker Punch
- Seed Bomb

Good luck and I hope I helped! :pimp:

Edit: @Oiawaesome: Actually, it's 2 suggested swaps and 1 EV spread change. I simply gave several possible options for the Articuno set.As for Seviper, I'll let someone else talk about it because I haven't used it myself yet. It seems to be a good check/counter to the Alomoonguss core though, so I feel that it breaks down enough physical walls to allow Zangoose to let loose its powerful offense.

Wow White no offense but it seems like your trying to change the team completely I mean 4 pokemon swaps and 1 EV Spread Swap.I agree with the Swapping of articuno---->Lickylicky,as much as I love Articuno it sucks defensivly with no spinner. After playing with this team for a little it seemed like carracosta needs more of a offensive set, because ,It seemed to always get the rocks up but it was pitifull offensivly and if the opponent had a spinner it was near useless to fix this I recomend Liechi Smash SRCosta it can shell smash and get to sturdy range and activate liechi and SMASH the oposing persons team and set up SR when it goes down, thus breaking down the opponents team and supporting your team with SR and when a SR user can do more than set up Stealth Rock is usualy good.Sevipers seylt seems good but the set isnt very solid and dosent take advantage of Servipers exelant physocal attack and movepoolto fix this I reccomend Mixed Seviper as It takes all of the positive factores of seviper.

The Sets
Carracosta @ Liechi Berry
Trait:Sturdy
Adamant Nature
252 Atk/248 Spe/8 Hp
- Shell Smash
- Stone Edge
- Aqua Jet/Waterfall
- Stealth rock

Seviper @ Expert Belt/Life Orb
Trait: Shed Skin
Naughty Nature
128 Atk/252 SpA/128 Spe
- Sucker Punch
- Sludge Wave
- Flamethrower
- Giga Drain

Tl;dr
Articuno ---> Lickylicky
Carracosta ---> Liechi Smasher
Seviper----> Mixed Attacker

Also How do you name the "hide tag"?

Maybe choice banded Sawk over Regigigas?
Now that mold breaker is released, Sawk can OHKO any SR setter even trough Sturdy!
Articuno will just benefit from his presence, and without Stealth rocks on the field he will survive much longer; talking about Articuno Substitute> Heal Bell would be a really good switch, SubRoost is a very effective strategy and you can stall many walls to death with just this move combo (+ toxic obviously).
Hope it helped :)
