The Slacking Slakings is one of the world's oldest secret societies. Membership is gained through invitation only, after a period of observation and evaluation. The process involves the upper echelon identifying a potential candidate, subtly assessing their suitability over time, and then extending an invitation. You don't ask for it.

I'm quite looking forward to this tour and hope that 35 Pokes + 1v1 receive enough signups to be included! Also I forgot to mention in my signup that I'll be shifting from GMT +1 to GMT -4 from the end of July. Normally I'd send a resume and try out for teams that are doing them, but I don't have any experience besides that of a spectator in any of the tiers that will be included. I may incessantly yap about NDUbers, but I have not actually played more than a handful of NDUUbers games which was quite a while ago at this point. I'm interested in playing, but figured it was worthwhile being upfront about that and I'd likely be best in a supporting role. If you draft me to play either of these tiers I'm excited to play and build them, but I'm doubtful a new player is likely to have success without any support. I probably should have added 1v1 to my blacklist as well. I'm happy to do whatever I can to help with any slot should I be drafted, but please do not have any expectations.

This isn't going to be massively long (in fact this is going to be quite short) but a certain Slaking requested them, so here they are! First I will look at every team individually, then I will rank everyone at the end. I am not going to be PR'ing my own team for obvious reasons. I will also say that I cannot comment well on LC, Ubers UU, 35 Pokes, and 1v1 community accurately, as I have no fucking clue what is going on in those slots. Let's get into it!

:slaking: Slakings
Slakings don't historically tend to do well in NDOTSL, or whatever the kids are calling it these days. However their draft doesn't look too bad. Slakings have a very strong AAA core, with o1 proven as a clicker in OMPL as long as he doesn't get HO fished, and iride providing a solid builder base. Danbear is the current GG champ (although he appears to have no support) while rex forms a good BH clicker, although I'm not sure how well he knows the ND metagame. The NDUbers slot is also very strong, frixel is just an extremely competent doubles player (who is going at 8k??) while every other slot looks strong to some degree - velvet in STAB (although I don't see the builder - is it oculars?), r8 in nfe, kimer in lc, iride in 35, and rtm (now frailty) in 1v1, who i did not initially recognise. the subs look strong enough and the clickers are certainly strong. however it is probably an open secret that they were aiming for tttech as a player, and this would have made this draft truly scary, as i think in the bh/stab builder department they are a little bit lacking. i think they are still a contender for finals however.

:jynx: One Last Jynxes
The problem for the OLJs is not the quality of players. They clearly have excellent players across the board. standout slots include doubles ubers, ubers uu, lc, and aaa. every other slot here has good clickers, but there doesn't appear to be any recognisable builders, especially for the OM metagames. Kazyn can and will build by himself but he almost certainly would have appreciated support, but the STAB and GG slots are going to struggle, while BH is almost certainly going to be a washout unless NihilisticWish can get to grips with things very quickly. at the very least every other slot looks very good, but someone who could cover and build for all the oms would have been exceptionally nice here. i guess the olj's actually did cover for this, but unfortunately the Incident:tm: means that they are really worse for wear in this department. If they can source builders and external support, this season could actually go very well for them, so i'm not going to count them out, but on gut feeling this definitely feels like the weakest draft, although again, i know a lot less about the non-OM slots, so take this opinion with a pinch of salt.

:giratina: Gigantic Giratinas
The only questionable slots here look to be LC and Ubers UU. The Giratinas have a top player in pretty much every other slot. This draft is unfair and I'm not sure why they were allowed to get away with this.

:donphan: Demolition Derby Donphans
Donphans have good clickers and builders across the board. Notably vooper in LC is an extremely strong slot, while velcroc brings a lot of versatility to the draft as he is able to slot into pretty much any metagame and have good odds to get a result. I will say that they have taken risks on a few people: rc is a great player but again i don't think he has any ndbh experience, so support in this department would have been great. les2bg is a bit of a wildcard in gg because the format is a lot different (and a lot fatter) compared to paldex. if these two players can hit it off straight off the bat donphans will be in an excellent position, but i expect them to make playoffs fairly easily.

:regice: Ruinous Satanices
Satanices have the best GG slot in AM, who had a stellar season last ndotsl. 5dots is also excellent in nfe while radu is a proven 1v1 player. i believe this is the team with the ubers uu and 35 pokes tier leads as well, so these slots have excellent builders. i will comment that the aaa and stab building department looks a little bit weak, and that chris chien pao is not a recognised bh player (rei has experience, and she interestingly starts on the bench). i also don't know who their doubles slot is but someone on discord will probably correct me and tell me that they are very good at the game. overall not a bad draft and they have good odds of making playoffs

4) Satanices
5) Jynxes
