Yes, i just copy pasted the OP from last year - ain't fixing what's not broken
NDWC V Set & Team Dump is here to serve as an opportunity to post whatever anyone has used so far! It's pretty self explanatory, post teams you used or built in NDWC V here!

Rules
  • This is for teams used in, or heavily considered for use, in NDWC V ONLY.
  • A Pokepaste would be preferred in terms of formatting. Sprites would also be a helpful addition.
  • Descriptions/stories about the teams are allowed (encouraged, even) but consider using a spoiler tag if they end up being very long.
  • These teams may be considered to be used as Sample Teams so no need to post in the bazaar as well.
And that's it! Happy posting, and good luck to the teams in the playoffs!

Week 1 vs Mollymiltoast
https://pokepast.es/9691403285cd3122
Did a little overprepping and wanted to bring something that can bait out kartana as molly had a really high kartana usage, so I brought a hp fire tapu bulu with enough HP evs to live scarf smart strike, which then lead me to the idea to want to bring serprior to abuse grassy terrain + leaf storm with HP ground to support the volcarona against heatran. Only thing i don't like about this is is how there isnt a momentum, could use u turn on mega lop over encore or u turn over edge on lando.

Week 2 vs Kate
https://pokepast.es/cd787bbd3cc6d1b5
There wasn't much prep in this, I just wanted to bring something on the fatter side.

Week 3 vs Gorex
https://pokepast.es/e36dbfa62eda2a67
I was positive I was facing offense this week and felt like rain was my best option. I kinda goofed in game but I did like my teamchoice. Red card on ferro was for threats such as Z kommo to switch in on claging scales / Z to force it out.

Week 4 vs Savouras
https://pokepast.es/dde0a293690d93c4
There was no prep involved.

Week 5 vs Lameflame
https://pokepast.es/0f1b564ee7909881
Last minute subsitute, was going to bring something else for SHSP but I'll keep that for another day. I expected something cheesy so I looked through my builder for a solid team and ran with it.

Overall I am happy with my performance this tour, 9-1 in the past 2 years of ndwc is really cool, looking forward to ndpl

Guess it's time for the teamdump

Week 1 vs Charmriah (W) https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexmonotype-833777
:heatran::skarmory::gholdengo::excadrill::goodra-hisui::scizor-mega:

Typical hazard stack steel team. To be honest, looking back at every ND tour that has had Mono in it, I've probably loaded steel less than 5 times in the past 3 years. No clue why I was holding myself back from using like the second best type in the meta but who knows? Might've just been a skill issue in the builder but steel isn't even that hard to build: Heatran + Steel Bird + Ghold is already half the team down but ig my brain short circuited at the flex picks. But I managed to fill in the gaps, Goodra is just a silly mon, Drill is decent speed control and Mega Scizor is a solid sturdy wincon.

Week 2 vs Trich (L) https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexmonotype-835226
:sneasler::weezing-galar::iron-moth::venusaur-mega::muk-alola::clodsire:

This game still annoys me for two reasons. The first is because I felt I brought the correct prep, especially into the mu I faced yet some slight changes to the team (cough cough Pain Split on the Geezing) actually won me the game/made things a whole lot easier and the second is that it's my only loss in the tour which could've been a win. In any case, Poison was another example of a type I've hardly used in tournament and I think branching out of the types that I used to running the past two years has had a positive impact on my records going into 2025. The current paste reflects the changes I wish I had in the game.

Week 3 vs sunnyboi (W) https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexmonotype-837170
:goodra-hisui::archaludon::latias::kommo-o::dragonite::kyurem:

Probably the most prep-heavy week I've had this tour. Took me a while to lock in on dragon, I originally wanted to load Psy but previous experiences of facing sunnyboi with Psychic and I lost so I didn't want a repeat of that. I had three versions of the team and I went with Dragonite because loading Dragonite Dragon has never failed me and it didn't this time. Shoutout Sami for the rigorous testing because without it, I would've brought a less optimised team. To not reveal the other versions (I might want to use them one day), it was a debate of Kyurem vs Latios and I finally settled on Kyurem to improve the Flying and Ground matchups. Latios would have its time soon though.

Week 4 vs pannu (W) https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogtours-gen9nationaldexmonotype-839251
:gallade-mega::tapu-lele::iron-boulder::latios::slowbro::jirachi:

I have to give my thanks to Bka Onon because his mgarde psychic inspired this team and I lowkey just wanted to steal it to use vs Sificon but 1, Sificon was on the same team as bka for NDMPL so he would just have the paste and 2, it wouldn't be fair to steal a team that hadn't been posted since NDMPL wasn't over yet. In any case, I went back to traditional Mgallade as the mega but I did have to take the double scarf and Colbur Berry Body Press Slowbro because it's pretty good. Lowkey felt bad for pannu because they subbed into a matchup I made specific techs for (Boltbeam Latios).

Week 5 vs Crossheart (W) Replay because private link is too long
:toxapex::greninja::alomomola::gastrodon::empoleon::primarina:

Now this could've just been a deadgame since UK down 3-4 meant we weren't making semis but I ain't no pussy so I want my wins. Even if this team seems like I just want to guarantee a win, I said last week Monday I was going to load this into Sabella then Crossheart gets subbed in and I was still gonna bring this shit. Luckily, Dragon gets brought in and this team has a great fucking matchup into dragon so win win. Game only mattered for my record, which at the point of not being able to make playoffs, was my top priority.

To conclude, this is my best NDWC so far after having average results prior and a much better game from me compared to last year where I was frankly washed and playing like garbage. I guess taking time off mono and sorting out shit in my life can do that for you.

Team shoutouts

EatFoods I know you wanted us to make playoffs but it wasn't to be this year. You were a very active manager and sent scouts for my slot before I even did them which was very helpful. I already thanked Sami for tests but thanks for the good times in the cord.

Stareal jawabarat Rasche NinjaSnapple Roginald Pokemonrainer Joeshh Medasus Aso: Some of us may have not performed as well as they liked and some of us were content with our performance but what is the same for all of us is that we had a good time and we were all motivated to make it onto the big stage. We keep that energy for next year, and there's no doubt that we will make it to playoffs.

:scizor-mega: :toxapex: :landorus-therian: :terapagos-terastal: :heatran: :zamazenta: - w1 vs pdt (L)
didnt have any scout to work with so ended up just loading smthn solid w on paper good ho mu. My accomplice queued into pdt loading stall on ladder which led to the curious Z ground tran. had heavyslam on zama originally u can pick whtever coverage u want for last slot. ended up getting a little unlucky and also fished to shit by lame screens in game what can u do

:samurott-hisui: :dragonite: :hatterene: :volcarona: :diancie-mega: :landorus-therian: - w2 vs Lily (L)
another week w pretty much no scout to go off. volc looked good into every team europe loaded in w1 and after losing to it the week prior i realized ho was still braindead and broken so decided to go with it. pulled a pretty solid mu and played probably my worst game in my entire time playing natdex tours. 5 hatt turns wrong in a row oh my goodness im so shit. even the volc sac? Fuck me. Really disappointing especially considering we ended up basically knocked out of contention after this week. still feel really shitty about this one but i guess its part of The Heros Joruney.

:landorus-therian: :terapagos-stellar: :diancie-mega: :kingambit: :tapu-fini: :iron-moth: - w3 vs Adriyun (W)
was originally gonna load some balance shit ill add to post later but team got 0-5d to officially seal it and i didnt wanna play this game. got pestered by opps and saw kyo post this in nd cord which inspired me to rfn and curbstomp adrian. You cooked Kyo

:gardevoir-mega: :alomomola: :zamazenta: :ferrothorn: :ogerpon-wellspring: :landorus-therian: - w4 vs Typical_bastard (W)
idek who passed this i think adrian? wanted to load heat and ended up loading into rain w mola ferro pon Godbless

heres some other stuff i built with varying levels of explanation.

:great-tusk: :charizard-mega-y: :alomomola: :terapagos-stellar: :roaring-moon: :hatterene:
built this for BLT and passed to jello w5. team takes pretty much no thought mola yard hatt structures r extremely degenerate and uninteractive shit is almost diacrown levels of turning ur brain off and autopiloting. av hatt was a last min addition that ended up making me realize the set in general is just a really nice pick for offensive structures. decent soft check to lele pagos lati rockers etc rly cool mon.

:lopunny-mega: :gliscor: :clefable: :corviknight: :toxapex: :roaring-moon:
standard balance not much to explain. saw another variation w scarf over z moon but idk didnt rly feel concerned into main speed control options(lele shifu zama) and felt team needed the breaking potential.

:rillaboom: :kyurem: :ting-lu: :volcarona: :gholdengo: :zapdos:
suboptimal structure only posting to showcase the gterrain + aids spdef kyu core. shit is major broken if u can play patient and properly support it in builder. same thing w bulkarona set def deserves more use

:ogerpon-wellspring: :dragonite: :landorus-therian: :roaring-moon: :gholdengo: :diancie-mega:
basic dia ho i was gonna bring week 1. bulky moon is a pretty cool set and didnt feel bad in testing but u probably dont lose much just going max max acro>roost

:latios-mega: :zamazenta: :alomomola: :gliscor: :clefable: :gholdengo:
rly basic glisc stack bo. not much to explain think team has seen some tour use? cba to find reps but its solid

:gholdengo: :zamazenta: :landorus-therian: :ferrothorn: :terapagos-stellar: :dragonite:
specs ghold = kodiak. standard 6 dtail nite is nice for throwing off sun stuff momentum and just solid emergency click into whatever w multiscale

:mamoswine: :moltres: :terapagos-stellar: :ferrothorn: :urshifu-rapid-strike: :slowking-galar:
mamo is actually cracked z ground + shard crash behind a sub can actually feel like ur mamo has 1900 atk into the right structures. think entro loaded this once or twice in ssnl, Wonder how he got his hands on the handy manny? :v4:

:latios-mega: :landorus-therian: :ferrothorn: :clefable: :toxapex: :tapu-lele:
basic lando ferro pex + psyspam = :skull: :tea:

:diancie-mega: :pecharunt: :celesteela: :garchomp: :terapagos-stellar: :zamazenta:
might be my fav team of post tera meta so far tbh. steela pech core is super solid and deserves more exploration. mu spread is generally fine though into some stuff it requires you to put the thinking cap on. prob some way to optimize pech steel mayb glisc + nite + 2 or smthn but idk.

:roaring-moon: :kingambit: :landorus-therian: :terapagos-stellar: :slowking-galar: :dragonite:
this team is so shit that it loops around to being broken. z fly is some troll shit to lure all the fightings who think they soft check u without booster. dnite lures grounds and has defensive profile of Buddha. very broken 6.

super disappointed with my performance this tour, w2 loss in particular will definitely stay with me for a while really just no reason for me to be dropping games like that but all u can do is learn from it i suppose. sucks that we couldnt get 1 more ring for the old guard before their retirement but it is what it is, all luv eastbros hope we get the chance to redeem ourselves next year. thanks for having me on for another year bosses Redgoop115 thebestever543 (Isza).

Not too sure how to feel about the tier currently. Calling anything besides moon broken is probably wrong but building consistently solid squads just feels like a chore rn and with meta leaning more and more towards offense i fear were gonna see the same shit happen during tera meta where tier just devolves into cteaming the broken ho structure. with the tier how it is rn trying to deviate from the standard gliscpex ghold stuff for balance feels like just trying to be different to be different and offense is hot garbage that only beats suboptimal players/builds so u r rly only left w 2 structures that r quite difficult to innovate. glisc is rly degenerate forces cancer interactions same w ho just in a different way building stuff other than that feels extremely constricting to the point i just give up half the time and pivot to standard structure. im rambling atp but idk tier needs some sort of change. hopefully after moon suspect my opinion shifts(assuming it gets banned who fkin knows w nd voters LOL) and im sure burnout from 2.5yrs of playing every single nd tour has something to do w it but somethings gotta be done and im not entirely sure what it is. sry for rambling wanted to get my thoughts out :bb. will prob take a month cleanse till cycle3/4 of lt but who knows im an addict KEKCHUNGUS. hopefully some time off lights the nd spark again. Love you all. :heart:

NDOU Teamdump (5-5)
Ended up being slotted in as one of the main builders for Team Canada after a rough beginning, so here's a quick teamdump of everything I built for other people / myself throughout the regular season. While I'm not super ecstatic about our team's combined record in OU, I found that most of my MU calls and prep were pretty solid as a whole, and led to plenty of intense games that were easily narrowed down to skill. At the end of the day, glad I could help out.

Main teams:

Despite not being my favourite tier to play, I found that picking up NDOU was a very intuitive experience in ways I don't think I would've ever encountered had I stayed in my comfort zone and out of the tour.

Besides my team for piloting, I'd like to s/o and help give some recognition to Ineros in particular for all their support in building and tests - a person who I think in general is a fantastic player and presence and builder to anyone. Hope I can keep at it this way until next time, see y'all around!

OFFICIAL OCULARS TEAMDUMP
Since our asiancy run is over I thought Id like to drop a few of my favourite teams we built/played with over the tour.

First of all id like to drop after a few shoutouts, I had the tall task this tour of building/supporting 6 slots from SV to SS and it wouldnt have been possible at all without the help of the following people:

nongyboii5000 Nongy was probably the best helper ive ever had in a team tour, helped me run deep scouts in multiple slots every single week, built teams, playtested and overall put in an amazing effort. 100% would be an asset to any NDPL team and if the other managers arent picking nongy up I definitely will be.

boppydop! despite the memes, boppy is also a great helper in teamtours, mainly doing scouts and testing and keeping the teamcord vibes high.

ChrisPBacon the goat of SS natdex, despite not wanting to play this year chris still came out and provided a load of teams for our SS slots and was a huge asset to damien and gorex so very thankful that chris still found the time to help even when very busy IRL.

Chilli Dewd Another excelent helper and great presense in our teamcord, would love to see chilli get picked up for some teamtours soon as well.

Red of AK who is retired and not using smogon was also a very crucial helper putting me on to a lot of sets and having some great meta discussions that helped wth my entire teambuilding philosophy throughout the tour.

Id also like to shoutout the entire team, for a lot of players it was their first time ever playing natdex, they put up some great records for newcommers and were a pleasure to work with, hopefully we see some of them stick around for PL and come back next year for WC.

Xiri vs Kyo

:sv/zamazenta: :sv/ceruledge: :sv/tapu-lele: :sv/mawile-mega: :sv/dragonite: :sv/ogerpon-wellspring:
This is a team I put together for Xiri, knowing kyos bulkier playstyles I built and tested several teams for this slot before I came to the epiphany that kyos entire scout was very weak to ceruledge, I proclaimed to xiri that if u get ceru in under screens/psyterrain it will 6-0, immediately slapped this together and thats exactly what ceru did.

Feen vs Lily

:sv/zamazenta: :sv/venusaur-mega: :sv/magnezone: :sv/weavile: :sv/landorus-therian: :sv/alomomola:

This is a structure I got from Red of AK who sold me very well on the benefits of AV Mola as a no nonsense pivot into a lot of the meta which we ended up using a lot throughout this tour going 5-1 with AV mola, the main weakness of the AV set is waterpon, luckily this team has amazing synergy and mega venusaur patches up the waterpon weakness incredibly well. The main concept of this team is that magnezone will trap and remove anything that can stop mvenu while weavile can trap and remove anything that stops idpress zama making switching around against av mola incredibly hard as the two trappers annoy a lot of switchins.

Typical Bastard vs Adriyun

:sv/ferrothorn: :sv/alomomola: :sv/zamazenta: :sv/terapagos-terastal: :sv/ogerpon-wellspring: :sv/landorus-therian:

After being requested to build "Ogerpon turtle bastard offense" this is what I came up with, another nifty av mola team that relies heavily on waterpon to break and pivotting in banded zama to get off strong hits, a bit prediction reliant but a very fun team to use that ive enjoyed playing with myself in sidetours.

Typical Bastard vs Seth

:sv/pelipper: :sv/swampert-mega: :sv/archaludon: :sv/tapu-lele: :sv/iron-treads: :sv/ogerpon-wellspring:

A very strong rain I built, unluckily we matched into a super unfortunate ferro mola ogerpon wellspring team possibly the last thing you want to see when using rain and had a very tough time getting much done when archaludon went down, rain in general hasnt been as consequential since tera ban but I feel this team is as good as a rain can get right now, lele is needed for stopping priority from stuff like sd gambit, treads is a great pivot that helps keep momentum up vs opposing lele, swampert mega tecs poison jab to hit wellspring and archaludon runs sub to 1v1 the very common ferrothorn. 98 pelliper underspeeds 99 mola and is an entirely valid set.

Xiri vs Entrocefalo + Oculars vs Tenebricite

:sv/pecharunt: :sv/alomomola: :sv/charizard-mega-y: :sv/magnezone: :sv/great-tusk: :sv/roaring-moon:

Another structure that we got from my boi Red, This is a somewhat standard zardy sun with a few noticeable changes that fix a lot of matchups, first of all something standard zardy sun struggles into a lot is mega diancie, however the inclusion of another AV mola here gives us a great pivot that can eat any hit from mega diancie with ease and keep momentum up for the team. Another problem these standard suns have is all out attacker zama with stone edge coming in and clicking vs a lot of things, pecharunt patches that up very well and again keeps momentum for this build. Electrium tusk is there to snipe greedy moltres users who have no skill and just try to fish for hax burns against muh tusk. Xiri put on an absolute masterclass with this in week 1 and I liked the team so much I chose to bring it again in week 5 when I fought tenebricite.

Hello! Here is a short team dump for the teams I've built throughout the tournament.

Week 1 vs DugtrioIsBroken
With the scout being filled with bulky offense and balance teams consisting of defensive cores of [Toxapex, Corviknight, and Reuniclus], [Toxapex, Landorus Therian and Zapdos], with Landorus being his most used Pokemon and Mega-Swampert being his most used Mega, I decided to build with the offensive core of Triple Axel Mega-Lopunny, Toxic Protect Melmetal and Flynium Offensive Zapdos. Furthermore, with his most used pokemons being Landorus therian, Volcarona, Clefable, Pelipper, Swampert and Kartana, I decided to go with the defensive core of Careful Stone Edge Hippowdon, Physical Tank Tangrowth, and calm Utility Tapu-Fini to improve matchups against the aforementioned threats. Ultimately, it improved the matchup against the expected bulky offense build thanks to the presence of melmetal (Who was able to at least click Protect after consecutive turns of confusion), Hippowdon's overall bulkyness and weather control as a great counter to Offensive Zapdos, and Mega Lopunny's excellent Speed tier and access to Triple Axle. The endgame should have been more conclusive nearing turn 32 where unnecessary misplays happened.
:lopunny-mega: :Melmetal: :Hippowdon: :tangrowth: :Zapdos: :Tapu-fini:(W)

Week 2 vs Ryuji
Did not get much time to prepare this week due to consecutive final exams, so a day before the match prior to the sub being made, I just tossed a Mega Lopunny and Kyurem team as my primary option, but ultimately decided to go with Ditto Stall after the sub was made since I was extremely tired and wanted to get the match over it and damn did it end fast due to my mindless and nonexistent analysis of turns where I proceeded to sacrifice my toxapex and blissey when I had a gliscor eating popcorns and watching the chaos unfold right before him.
:Ditto: :Sableye-Mega: :Gliscor: :Blissey: :Toxapex: :Corviknight:(L)

Week 5 vs Vioz
Not much data here so we decided to base it on the teams that are being used by his teammates and found a couple patterns in the similarities in the cores. Since most of the teams were bulky offense and balance consisting of cores that are relatively weak to Sand and Mega charizard Y, I decided to go with the core of Mega Charizard Y, Balloon Excadrill, and Tyranitar, with Grassium Defog Kartana in the back. I decided to maximize Mega Charizard Y's opportunities to get into the field With two hazard controllers. Opting to go with Grassium Synthesis Kartana provided sustainability, Offensive Prowess, and hazard Control while freeing up balloon for the item slot for excadrill to improve matchups for ground types such as landorus and offensive garchomps in the scout.

Last but not least, I would like to thank Hiro80223001 and Iride for helping me with prep and scouting. Thanks for having me in Team Canada this year! It has been a blast.

Hey everyone! Although I haven't actively played a game inside of NDWC, I still decided to share some of my teams that I've used to help Insou prepare for his battles. Click team for the pokepaste!

Team 1: Latias TrapBalance
:Latias-Mega: :Weavile: :Magnezone: :Clefable: :Gliscor: :Toxapex:
This team revolves around CM Latias since as we all know, Latias is one of the most devastating sweepers in the metagame. To help Latias get to the point of sweeping teams, I thought adding the trapping duo of Weavile to take out bulky Psychics like Reuniclus and opposing M-Lati and Magnezone to take out steel types like Ferro and Corv so Latias can run other moves like Refresh to break fattier teams. Clefable was then added to take care of Dark types like Tyranitar and Weavile (hence thunder wave) and to set up rocks as well. I also realized that the team can't deal with Heatran that well which is a big metagame mon as well so I added Gliscor next do deal with it and to also add a ground immune and a pivot as well to help Latias and Weavile to enter the battlefield seriously. Lastly, the team needed a water resist so I added Toxapex that also deals with Volcarona which could sweep the team as well. Toxic Spikes are also a nice bonus as well to possibly whittle down Dark Types as well making Latias job of sweeping easier

Team 2: M-Tyranitar Screens HO
:Tyranitar-Mega: :Tapu Koko: :Landorus-Therian: :Serperior: :Gyarados: :Tapu Lele:
This is a HO Screens team that utilizes Tapu Koko as the screen setter and Lando-T as the "lead" which are used at tools for momentum. I really felt like M-Tyranitar is one of the best mega pokemon that can take advantage of screens since it has the bulk to already take hits naturally and able to boost it's speed as well. Serperior was added next because it helps remove alot of Tyranitar's checks such as Tapu Fini, Kartana, Ferrothorn, Hippodown, Rain mons, Msciz, etc. Next Z-Fly Gyarados was added to help break Steel types such Corviknight and Melmetal that would check M-Ttar and Supersonic Skystrike is used to help further break some of Tyranitar's checks. Lastly, I added Scarf Lele to check some of the biggest threats to HO in general, such as Ash-Gren and M-Lop as well.

Team 3: MMaw AshGren BO 2
:Mawile-Mega: :Greninja-Ash: :Heatran: :Ferrothorn: :Landorus-Therian: :Toxapex:
This here is another variant of M-Maw and AshGren BO that I used in last years NDWC. As we all know M-Maw is a very devasting wallbreaker into fattier teams and AshGren helps revenge kill faster threats and deals with Steels and Grounds that annoy Mawile like Heatran, Gliscor and Skarmory. I added Z-Grass Heatran here instead because baiting and killing Tapu Fini benefits Mawile and AshGren as well and keeps the hazards on the field as well. Ferrothorn was added next as a Rain and Kyurem check and to add more hazards + thunder wave to add on to the hax from AshGren's Dark Pulses. Next I added PhyDef Lando-T to help chip away at M-Lop and to also remove hazards as well since most of the mons so far get easily chipped by opposing hazard stack teams. Lastly, I added Toxapex since I didn't want this team to get blown apart by Zard-Y and Urshifu as well.

Team 4: ZardY Band Ttar BO
:Charizard-Mega-Y: :Tyranitar: :Tapu Fini: :Corviknight: :Rillaboom: :Landorus-Therian:
This team here utilizes an ORAS classic core of ZardY and BandTtar. Some of the most underrated mons and sets in the metagame as Tyranitar just Pursuit traps some of ZardY counters like Latias and Victini and ZardY just kills mons like MSciz and Corviknight as well. I added Tapu Fini as well since this duo just get beaten by AshGren, Urshifu and Kommo-o and Defog support was required as well if I was to use a mon that has a 4x rocks weakness. Corviknight (sp def) was also added to also switch into the mons that would revenge kill the duo as well such as Garchomp, M-Diancie, and Kyurem as well, U-turn is also a nice addition to the team as well since ZardY and Tyranitar have a hard time getting into the battlefield sometimes. Next, I added Rillaboom to ease up the Rain matchup as well since both mons have a hard time switching into Rain abusers like Swampert. Lastly, Defensive Z-Rock Lando-T was added to help bait and deal with Zapdos since it could always Volt Switch on Tyranitar and I also needed it to set up rocks as well.

Team 5: Lopunny Hydre Balance
:Lopunny-Mega: :Hydreigon: :Clefable: :Corviknight: :Gastrodon: :Zapdos:
Lastly, I've decided to build a team around the duo M-Lop and Hydregion. M-Lop deals with some of Hydreigon's counters like Blissey and Hydre baits in some of Lop's counters such as Clefable, Toxapex and Reuniclus. This duo however does struggle to break M-Latias and Kyurem so I added Clefable (sp def) to help deal with that issue. Next, I added Corviknight to deal with other revenge killers that M-Lop and Hydre struggle with such as M-Diancie and Kartana. Next I realized that the team struggles with Tapu Koko so I went with Gastrodon since I didn't really think that Hydregion as the sole water resist would be ideal. Lastly, I added Zapdos because of it's coverage that help it beat the remaining mons that the team struggles to break such as Tapu Fini and Ferrothorn

Hope you guys enjoy reading this!

This is probably going to end up being more of a shoutout post than a team dump so :catleaf:

So, as most people hopefully know I managed UK and built with Snapple in DOU;

Week 1:

I think this was the first real taste of a no Goth meta since both teams agreed not to bring it (Thanks eragon, ly). This being at the tailend of my derby season with eragon, I had a very good idea of stuff he liked to use and what he was likely to bring after running God knows how many test games with him. I can't be bothered to find/remake it but I know we originally wanted to run some Ferro stuff into eragon but opted out in the end.

:Flutter Mane: :Incineroar: :Rillaboom: :Salamence-Mega: :Ursaluna-Bloodmoon: :Jirachi:Even though we didn't bring it, I am pretty proud of this team, I took very heavy inspiration from Glimmer's Normal Z BMLuna team, which I've really liked for a while as just a fun and good team, for this and kind of just made it more up to date and made a couple changes I thought Snapple would be able to play better with.

:Salamence-Mega: :Landorus: :Incineroar: :Amoonguss: :Diancie: :Basculegion:
Snapple ended up deciding on this, spoke more about it in a seperate post:
https://www.smogon.com/forums/threa...week-2-diancie-not-mega.3760092/post-10481815

We ended up pulling a pretty nice matchup vs eragon and Snapple won the game.

Week 2:

I think going into this week me and Snapple realised that we probably were not going to have a week we weren't working overtime in the slot to secure the win, going into this one we saw Zee's scout was pretty all over the place and based of other things he's said I don't think we had a reason to worry about either of our self-scouts. We ended up with just a strong offense team with consistent weather matchups, probably should of been Sunny Day over Taunt on Tornadus to enable Flutter and Chi-Yu a bit more but it worked well since Snapple won the game.

:Tornadus: :Flutter Mane: :Landorus: :Amoonguss: :Iron Hands: :Chi-Yu: Team is good, nice and strong fast paced offense team that denied risky endgames for us leaving little room for Zee to pull some miracle play and win the game off of that, but Snapple is her so this part is kind of larp.

Got a nice mu and played solid, no more to be said.

Week 3:

Kind used previous knowledge of how Terekusai loads from playing him in other tours and suggested Rain so we went with that idea and ran it, originally we planned on going with the exact BD team I ran into Terekusai, but Snapple improved on it like the goat she is.

:Politoed: :Archaludon: :Landorus: :Basculegion: :Tapu Koko: :Scizor-Mega: Standard Rain structure, not much beyond that, in hindsight Arch + Bascu is very greedy for the difference in structure and play they need.

Rough loss after we lost MSciz early game, we just didn't have the tools to break through in the late game and Terekusai took it home.

Week 4:

Voltix was on a very good streak in both derby and going into the week here, so we needed to come up with a bit of a fishy team style into his scout, playing him in derby the week prior I had a very good idea of what sort of stuff would be consistent into him to get us a win.

:Flutter Mane: :Jirachi: :Tornadus: :Landorus-Therian: :Rillaboom: :Raging Bolt: Snapple came up with this which stuck to our original idea for a structure, team just support Bolt setting up and getting off damage to win the game after things are chipped.

Snapple played out a really good endgame to claim the win with nice chipping from LandoT to win it.

Week 5:

We were assuming Jello would end up playing here, but Bacon Pig slotted instead, had a rough idea that they would just load a solid team so me and Snapple wanted to cover that sort of thing as well as possible and outplay to win.

:Tapu Fini: :Flutter Mane: :Landorus: :Salamence-Mega: :Incineroar: :Iron Hands: This is probably the most standard six in the tier right now, if not ever, very customisable with stuff like going Z Hands, whether you want to use CM Fini, or DD Mence.

I think we just got a bit too passive with how we played this game and Pig punished us pretty well for it.

Shoutouts:

NinjaSnapple Not mentioning you first after speaking about you for the prior part of the post would be kind of wild LMAO, I had a lot of fun testing and building with you, really hope to play with you again soon and see you go undefeated like you deserve bestie.

TTK Insane Mono as always really happy that you had such a well deserved run this year with the work you put in, and like you will probably hear ever time you play in this tour, really sorry nobody else knows Mono and you have to do a lot of prep work on your own LMAO.

Stareal Undisputed goat in SSND, seeing you play this for the past two years has been so fire, I really enjoy your thought process on the game and just having such a strong spot around on the team is always really nice knowing we'll probably have at least one win every week.

Roginald Unc... Happy you came out of the retirement home to play for us, very happy to see you still have it, if you're still around when we run it back next year, I'd be very happy to have you play again.

Joeshh Putting you above Dan to purely annoy him, was really nice to see the amount of work and effort you were willing to put in this tour, sorry it didn't work out too well, know you're unhappy with you're record, but you can just go undefeated next year to even it out goat. s/o CAP.

jawabarat (Also known as the self proclaimed UU, ND OU, ND RU, and BDSP Jesus), was really fun to see you interact with other people and start kicking off at someone every 10 minutes into winning your game every week, thanks for dodging co-manning me when I asked and then coming to play anyways.

Rasche I dont know how I ended up passing you teams for singles most weeks, but it worked out, I was actually so hyped when you said you were down to play for this, sorry for allegedly, accidently, almost subbing you out vs ima LMAO, was really cool to team with you after knowing about you for two-ish? years.

Aso I think you put most of our SV slots on your back this tour, and your record does not reflect that at all which really sucks, when we were talking in PRC about this tour before the season started I was looking at my monitor for a good minute wondering if you were being deadass or not. Really nice to team with you finally though bestie, next time I'll try not having you play the other team's strongest OU every week. But you probably deserved it for making me play however many test games for OU and saying shit about Your Throne LMAO.

Pokemonrainer Sorry that exams fell on you mid tour, thanks for subbing in for Jawa while he was away and getting solid games in, really appreciate your presence in the teamcord.

Cow Sorry for dragging you back into the teamcord and then not having you play a single game LMAO, didn't speak to you a ton, but you were fire from the few times we chatted.

Medasus Sorry that you only got slotted once into an unwinnable matchup, I've said it before but you're really cool to just have around in a cord to see shit talk Sami.

TBIC106 The third part of the magic love triangle with Dan and Joesh, sorry that life happened, don't think I've ever said but you are one of the people I have the most fun prepping with, especially NDFL when you were actually around LMAO.

Baddy Sorry for annoying you to play this tour like 50 times, was fun to see you pop up in teamcord now and again, hope you come back and play next year or at least hang around a bit more goat.

Zpice I think you said like 5 lines, but thanks for joining and s/o big GSC NU or whatever it is. Fuck with you heavy goat.

Too lazy to find everyone that signed up to play or just joined the teamcord to hang around and give little bits advice, but want to let you all know I really appreciate the support, even though it was probably under 30 lines collectively LMAO.

LORD SAGIS ibleachyourskin I don't think I can thank you two enough for passing on the torch to myself and Sami, this was some of the most fun I've ever had playing mons, hope you can both hang around more next year.

Sami Last but not least, my co-man, don't know how you put up with me for the past five weeks, but you were probably more integral to this team than me, checking up on slots and being able to do scouts while I was getting in from college at like 5PM on a Monday LMAO, the past couple of weeks. Really appreciate getting to know you beyond that one ND Ubers guy that brings shit like MVenu, you're a really fun dude, would love to run it back with you next year. Best of luck with your exams goat.

Final thoughts:

Sucks that we fell just short in the end after such a tight series in week 5, but I had loads of fun managing and generally interacting with this team and getting to know everyone, as nice as two more weeks and a custom could have been. Very happy with how we did in terms of prep, play, and placement in this tour both retroactively looking back at our run last year and comparatively to other teams in the pool getting third after being seen as a dead region with a team that was comfortably put last on most power rankings pre-season all in my first time managing a team tour is amazing, and you lot should all be really proud of yourselves.

Sorry on not being the manager you guys deserve, and even more thank you for tolerating and carrying me for the past few weeks, but let's run it back stronger and win next year, GO UK!

another nd tour another poff loss KKKKKKKKKKKK Fuck me

NDWC will always have a special place in my heart as the first team tour ive played and really feels like it brings the squad together more than a PL or something. Went a nice lil 4-0 and built plenty of stuff although the shit i passed got some abysmal matchups despite the teams themselves being p good. Probably dca leaking teams if we're being honest...

special thanks to clean hellom Xurkiyee Ineros for being enjoyable to prep with, hope to team again down the road in NDPL / NDWC

Anti shoutout to pdt for popularizing zama volc screens but real shoutout for being both a frequent and one of my favorite teammates

Special special shoutout to kDCA for being a great coman as per usual -- always nice having someone i can trust to be on the same page as when it comes to managing & this game in general

Sets explanations and thoughts on the meta here

Week 1 : :necrozma::salamence-mega::xurkitree::incineroar::amoonguss::ursaluna-bloodmoon:
I don't remember what the Necrozma spread does, probably something related to Kingambit or Marshadow. Xurkitree outspeeds Modest Heatran and KOs Assault Vest Heatran and Diancie with +3 Thunderbolt.

Week 3 : :ferrothorn::charizard-mega-y::flutter-mane::nihilego::gouging-fire::iron-hands:
Something funny. I should have made Gouging Fire Tera Psychic before the game but it is what it is.

Week 4 : :deoxys-attack::indeedee-f::charizard-mega-y::flutter-mane::raging-bolt::diancie:
A stupid team that deals an obscene amount of damage. I saw no opposing terrains on scout so I went for it.

Week 5 : :gouging-fire::flutter-mane::rillaboom::glimmora::salamence-mega::kingambit:
Gouging Fire lives Moonblast from Flutter Mane. I liked Kingambit into xqiht.

Semis : :gardevoir-mega::amoonguss::tornadus::marshadow::kyurem-black::incineroar:
Calm Mind Gardevoir is good and zee was running teams very weak to Marshadow Kyurem. Kyurem outspeeds 0HP Heatran and KOs it. 8 SpDef Marshadow lives Landorus Earth Power I think. Gardevoir lives Double-Edge from big Salamence. Incineroar lives Close Combat from Life Orb Marshadow and KOs it back. Amoonguss lives -1 Double Edge from mence.

Finals : Megabomashnite
:abomasnow-mega::arctovish::necrozma::incineroar::nihilego::tapu-fini:
:abomasnow-mega::arctovish::diancie::tapu-koko::iron-hands::landorus:
Eragon was often running 2 mons 4 times weak to Ice, which I sought to punish and failed. The second team is slightly too weak to opposing hands so I didn't take it.

Tiebreaker : :charizard-mega-y::flutter-mane::diancie::landorus-therian::rillaboom::raging-bolt:
Just boring sun, not much to say. Lando is Tera Psychic for the psyspam matchup. You could argue tera Steel is better but Psyspam always packs a Fire type. You could argue tera Grass on Diancie but you don't need the item slot that much and Amoonguss forcing an instant tera ain't great.

Thanks again for the support from my great managers and teammates!
