Rules
  • Follow all rules listed here.​
  • Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for us to make decisions for activity calls when we can actually see what went down with scheduling.​
  • If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to us or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.​
  • Substitutions may be made after a week as started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.​
  • If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it will be subject to an activity call.​
  • Post replays. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later. They're also required.​

Monotype predicts from the UK's Mono player! Interesting first week for the metagame, 2 Ghost brings and a rock bring week 1 certainly is a start I must say! Rock is really bringing out your MU fish helmet and I don't rate Ghost at all but there were reasons the players brought them ig. The people who won last week are looking to continue their streak while the people who lost are looking to bounce back, either way still early days

SV Monotype: Tarre25 vs cscl - I feel like bolding Tarre here, I've always rated their skill in the tier by extension via SV and they got a solid win vs Fraolain in a fly mirror despite being behind for most of the game. cscl is not a slouch either (I'm 0-1 or 0-2 vs them im washed) and had a close game vs Bka who managed to win vs Normal with Galladeless psy which I was impressed with. Excited to watch this one.

SV Monotype: Fraolain vs King Choco - I have to support the French here, which might be a surprise because I'm British. In any case, I think Frol1 is the stronger player despite them starting the tour 0-1. I also haven't seen a lot of King Choco this gen and to give them credit, they did beat Leaf but had the most 100-0 mu last week so let's see if they can perform if they get an even mu.

SV Monotype: Leafium Z vs Bka Onon - Speaking of Leaf, I'll bold them here because I think it's another case of x > y in terms of skill but as long as Leaf doesn't mu fish and brings a relevant type, I think it should be fine. Would like to see how Bka prepares for this mu.

SV Monotype: Sabella vs Sificon - Both players are coming into this game 1-0 and tbh, both loaded into unlosable mus but they're solid players. I really did like Sab's Dragon team, haven't seen Mlatios in 10000 years and sub DD Moon vs Ghost was cool. In terms of who I believe wins this, I'm slightly leaning towards Sabella if they continue to bring unique looking comps but I won't be surprised if Sificon wins this.

SV Monotype: gorex vs Charmriah - AsiaOceania subbed out Neko for gorex, I respect both players but Bug load week 1 was not the angle imo. I've bolded Charm here because I don't think they want to end up 0-2 by the end of the week so the prep will go hard. They've said they're not a mono main anymore but they're more of a mainer than gorex so I think that gives them the edge here.
