Need a bit of help with my team

Since not playing in near enough a year i've decided to come back and give pokemon online another go. As things stand i've only had a maximum of probably 2 months playing, so i'm very inexperianced at playing competitivly but have a decent enough understanding of how everything works, it's more the fact that i'm bad rather than dont understand the game. The team that i've built this time round is by far my most successful, although thats not saying much :P

Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Impish (+Def -SpA)
IV's 252HP, 48Def 208SpD

Stealth Rock
Power Whip
Protect
Leech Seed

Ferrothorn is my lead, it's a fantastic pokemon overall with great bulk and typing allowing it to set up rocks, switch in numerous times and deal decent damage to anything that doesnt resist power whip. Protect allows me to scout aswell as gain extra recovery when i've leech seeded anything.

Zapdos @ Leftovers - Pressure
Modest (+SpA -Att)
IV's 252HP, 80 SpA, 176 SpD

Heat Wave
Thunderbolt
Roost
Toxic

Zapdos has great bulk, a reliable form of recovery aswell as great coverage from heatwave and thunderbolt. Toxic is there to inflict status on anything that might not take a great deal of damage from either attacking move.

Skarmory @ Leftovers - Sturdy
Impish (+Def -SpA)
IV's 252HP, 252Def, 4Spe

Brave Bird
Spikes
Whirlwind
Roost

Pretty standard physically deffensive skarmory, once 3 layers of spikes are up i can whirlwind pretty much to my heart's content to rack up damage on any grounded pokemon. Although skarmory usually runs with 4 EV's in SpD i've gone for 4 in speed to guarantee it outspeeds any other skarmory that might want to come in and whirlwind me out, although skarmory coming in on skarmory is a very rare thing it does happen, so doing this negate the change of me losing a speed tie.

Starmie @ Leftovers - Natural Cure
Timid ( +Spe -Att)
IV's 252HP, 4SpD, 252Spe

Rapid Spid
Thunderbold
Surf
Recover

Starmie is my rapid spinner with a pretty standard EV spread it also doesnt mind status because of it's ability Natural Cure.

Hippowdon @ Leftovers - Sand Stream
Impish (+Def - SpA)
IV's 236HP, 24Att, 192Def, 56 SpD

Earthquake
Ice Fang
Slack Off
Curse

Hippowdon is my main counter to dragons. I'll probably end up changing the EV spread so it takes Specially based attacks better since skarmory is physically defensive anyway. Curse is hardly ever used so i might end up changing that move for something else.

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Jolly (+Spe -SpA)
IV's 252Att, 4SpD, 252Spe

Trick
Substitute
Body Slam
Iron Head

Jirachi is the main problem that my team has got, i know the move set that i've given him is awful and i'm looking for somebody to replace him since he doesnt do anything for the team that any other pokemon cant do apart from cripple blissey by tricking it choice scarf or managing to paralize through body slam, along with that it gives me a 3rd pokemon who's weak to fire.

Any suggestions for a replacment for jirachi would be greatly appreciated along with any other advice for the team or glaring problems. The main reason for jirachi was to be able to beat blissey and also to paralize as many opposing pokemon. I guess now i'm looking for something that can beat blissey, paralize and absorb status all in 1. Reuniclus could work for something like this and i'll probably try it out as soon as possible.

your starmie set isnt bad but i would try ice beam over recover. starmie isnt bulky and probably wouldnt be helped much from recover because if he gets hit he is probably gonna die. icebeam allows him to kill landorous and thudrus which isvery valuable. also over leftovers i would try life orb because leftovers has same problem as recover with starmie. life orb increases his power a lot.

if you want to replace jirachi i wouldvtry scarf gegar. here the set.
gengar
item choice scarf
252spa/252spe/4hp
timid or modest
-trick
-shadow ball
-focus blast
-hp fire
i know he not a status absorber but he a great revenge killer spinblocker and can cripple bliss. trick is mostly for bliss. shadow ball is stab and beats starmie. focus blast for ttar and his dark friends. hp fire for steels. also this way you only have 2 steels

This is a huge block of text, and I apologize if it takes too long to read/isn't helpful.

If you're going to run Scarf Jirachi, at least change its moveset to

Jirachi@Choice Scarf
Jolly (+Spd, -SpA)
EV's: 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 4 HP
-Iron Head
-Ice Punch
-Fire Punch
-Trick/U-turn/Thunderpunch

Running Body Slam and Sub on a choiced Poke isn't a good idea unless you're tricking the scarf first turn. In addition, the combo of Body Slam and Iron Head leaves you helpless against Heatran, Skarmory, Bronzong, and Scizor, most of which are fairly common (not sure about Bronzong). By running Fire Punch, you gain the ability to stop SD Scizor.

With Skarmory, what are you trying to outspeed? If you're going to run speed EV's, you may as well try to outspeed Wobbuffet and opposing Skarmory with 24-28 of them lifted from defense.

Thundurus and Landorus also seem like large problems if Starmie goes down (i.e., Pursuit) as they then outspeed everything and are able to set up on Ferrothorn, with Nasty Plot and Swords Dance respectively. Landorus also gets a boost from Hippowdon's sand.

Take Curse off Hippowdon and give it Stealth Rock or Roar instead. Stealth Rock makes it much easier for Jirachi and Zapdos to get KO's. As you said, Curse isn't being used and is wasting a moveslot.

What's Zapdos' role on this team? I'm not sure what the EV's/it accomplish. Ferrothorn's already specially defensive, and Ferrothorn does it better.

Specially defensive Tyranitar can Pursuit Starmie, Crunch Zapdos (2HKO with Stealth Rock), and Superpower Ferrothorn. Starmie can't do enough with Surf to threaten it, Zapdos has to predict and hit it on the switch with Toxic, and Ferrothorn can't switch in on a Superpower if Spikes are up. Conkeldurr or Machamp can switch in on anything Tyranitar has and set up sub or Bulk Up. Maybe try it over Zapdos.

Specs Latios cleanly OHKO's Hippowdon with Draco Meteor. If a common set for a Poke can cleanly OHKO, it's probably not a good counter. In fact, Specs Latios takes out everything except Jirachi with proper prediction. Perhaps switching Jirachi to a specially defensive set would help solve this problem.

[SET]
name: Specially Defensive
move 1: Iron Head
move 2: Body Slam / Thunder Wave
move 3: Wish
move 4: Fire Punch / Protect / Stealth Rock
nature: Careful
item: Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 224 SpD / 32 Spe

It can take anything from Latios.

Sorry this took so long to read.

Hello there,
you seem to have a well thought and stable team, although there might be some points to look after. For example, notice the fact that 3 of your pokemon are weak to fire, as well as a Thunderus weakness. Most of your pokemon would be defeated by its Thunder / HP (Ice) / Focus Blast combination and, after a single NastyPlot it can be devastating, to any team.

I would include a Heatran on your team and exclude Jirachi. This way your relative weakness to fire would decrease and you would have a nice defence added. This is the set I suggest:

Heatran @ Leftovers
Calm nature
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Sp.Def
Toxic | Substitute | Roar | Lavaplume/Flamethrower

but I would follow hmbshark's advices too and especially that regarding of Latios.
If you put Roar in your Hippowdon, then you can in some way deal indirect damage and start stalling.

To add some bulk and, if you follow my advice on including Heatran, then you could also switch Zapdos for a Dragonite. Thanks to its new ability, and after a DD, it can outspeed almost everything.

Other than that, nice team. Hope I could be of any help (:

Threats:
- Volcarona
- Thundurus

Hey, this is a cool team but it does have a few problems. Volcarona is a very large threat for this team seeing how it has the ability to sweep your entire team after a single boost. The easiest way to solve this problem is to simply replace Jirachi with a specially defensive Heatran. This will give your team an excellent counter to the fiery moth, a way of taking Fire-type attacks (as Starmie is frail), and another phazer to take full advantage of your entry hazards. Here's the set:

Heatran @ Leftovers l Calm l 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
Lava Plume l Toxic l Protect l Roar

Hippowdon seems out of place since you don't have any Pokemon that can take advantage of the weather it brings and Skarmory already provides you with a physical wall. You say that it provides a counter to Dragon-types, but in reality it won't enjoy taking on any of them outside of an unboosted Haxorus. Meanwhile, Skarmory can take on Haxorus while the combination of Ferrothorn and Heatran will keep Lati@s at bay. There's really no reason not to replace Hippowdon with a Pokemon that will actually benefit the rest of your team. My suggestion is that you replace it with a Gastrodon who will be a big help against Rain teams and one of your team's biggest threats, Thundurus. Overall, great team and good luck.

Gastrodon @ Leftovers l Calm l 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Scald l Ice Beam l Toxic l Recover
