Need help improving my team (beginner)

So I'm quite a noob at making teams (well, making teams and winning actually) and I'm around 14xx on the ladder at PS. I do enjoy watching battles but I'm not very good at it myself. I made a new team since my old one had a lot of flaws and I figured it'd be easier to make a new one. So I'd be happy if anyone could point out the mistakes. I made it with some unorthodox pokemon since I really don't like using overpowered (I know, not mine to judge, but I hate doing it how everyone does it) pokemon. I'm only battling at PS(2/3DSs are really expensive here) so changing the EVs would be easy.So here are the team essentials (sorry; don't know where/how to get the pokes' images):

Type : Balanced
Pokemon:

Rotom(M)@Leftovers
252 hp,232 def,16 spa,8 spe
Ability:Levitate
Nature:Bold

Moves:
Will-O-Wisp
Volt Switch
Leaf Storm
HP Ice

This (Lawn) tool is what I lead with most of the time. Its physically defensive and has 8 Spe EVs to outspeed uninvestd Rotom(W) and T-tar (also Scizor, but those will be rare). Its moveset is designed to cripple common leads such as T-tar, Rotom(W), Landorus-T, Thunderus-I, etc. Its kind my physical (wall is a bad description,) handler. It also grabs momentum with VS.

Porygon-2@Eviolite
252 hp, 84spa, 172spd
Ability:Trace
Nature:Calm

Moves:
Recover
Psychic
Thunder Wave
Ice Beam

My special wall and para spreader. I chose this over Thunderus-I because it can also serve as a bulky attacker. It can take dracos and volt switches all day and recover the damage to force a switch or parylyse the switch in. Since they are almost always Landorus-T, Conkeldurr or Gliscor, I gave psychic and ice beam to hit them reasonably hard. Also worth noting it can trace Thunderus-I's Prankster or Heatrans FF or Gliscor's Poison Heal.

Landorus-I(M)@ Life Orb
252 spa, 252 spe,4 hp
Ability:Sheer Force
Nature: Naive

Moves:
Earth Power
Psychic
Sludge Wave
Knock Off

My main special attacker. Kinda common but since it has obvious weaknesses, it'll be challenging to use. And I've used both genies before so I want to get a feel for this one as well. A normal moveset and EV spread. Didn't use Focus Blast since I don't trust its accuracy and I can pursuit trap chansey with another member of the team.

Azumarril(F)@Leftovers
248 hp, 252 atk, 4 spd, 4spe
Ability:Huge Power
Nature:Adamant

Moves:
Aqua Jet
Waterfall
Play Rough
Superpower

Physical attacker. Used to sponge some hits and hit back hard. Adds priority to the team and coverage against the genies, charizards and dragons. Leftovers is very useful to ensure that 51% can still be mitigated.Just threw on the EVs, BTW.

Greninja(F)@Life Orb
252 spa, 252 spe, 4hp
Ability:Protean
Nature:Timid

Moves:
Scald
Ice Beam
Dark Pulse
Spikes

My secondary special attacker(although not less important, it just hits less hard). It outspeeds and checks what Landorus' can't. Also equipped with spikes but that's just because I didn't know what to put there. Seems like a grass move would be nice(fear the Quagsire, sire) but I don't have any setup sweepers, so yeah.

Scizor(M)@Scizorite
248 hp, 252 atk, 4 spd, 4spe
Ability:Technician
Nature:Adamant

Moves:
Bullet Punch
U-turn
Bug-bite
Pursuit

Bulky utility attacker mainly used for revenge killing. Adds some resistances to the team and attempts to take down choiced pokemon and special walls. Handles T-tar, the Latis, Gardevoir, and weakened pokemon. The EV spread is to maximise bulk and attacking potential. Roost is ommited because its designed to quickly switch (even without using u-turn) to a resist and take it out/ weaken it to the level it can be revenge killed. So its more of a supporter than a sweeper.

Thanks for your constructive criticism!

Your team isnt half bad, but I would like to make a few suggestions.

First of all, you should probably make your porygon physically defensive. The special set works, but it doesnt beat special sweepers and your team currently has problems with most physical attackers. Things like talonflame and mega pinsir run through your team. Porygon not only checks these things, but can copy some awesome abilities along the way. It can still check a lot of special attackers like heatran, thunderous therian, and even unaware clefable. I would also opt for toxic over twave and discharge or tri attack over psychic. Twave is ok, but it doesnt really seem important to your team and toxic allows porygon to stall certain pokes it might generally lose to. Discharge and ice beam go really well together and have great neutral and super effective coverage. It only misses out on a few pokes and most of them arent really important enough for it ti matter. Discharge also provides a 30% paralysis chance which is nice. Tri attack is porygons most powerful attack and has a cool random status effect 20% of the time. I never use it, but it is a solid alternative.

Since I changed your porygon set to physically defensive your team is lacking a little on the special side. This can be easily changed though. Personally I would change your rotom mow out for something a little better for this role, and if you would like me to I can make a couple of recommendations, but for now I would just change its spread to specially defensive. You are still abke to beat most leads in this way. I would however suggest removing hidden power ice and giving rotom pain split instead to keep it alive longer. You already have two pokemon that beat landerous t pretty handily as is and it wont appreciate a will o wisp anyway.

Azumarill migt appreciate a choice band to hit harder without losing the bulk you chose it for. Getting choice locked isnt great, but it is rare that something switching into azumarill isnt ready to force it out instantly anyway, so one attack and a switch is what azu normally does anyway.

For greninja, you should use either u turn, hp fire, or grass knot over spikes since you likely wont be using that greninja as a lead anytime soon.

I love the landerous set as knock off is significantly worse for chansey than focus miss. Although you may want to consider something else for sludge bomb unless you are struggling with fairies.

Your mega scizor should run something like knock off, super power, swords dance, defog or roost over bug bite. Bug bite hits hard, but if your goal is to switch instantly then u-turn is almost always the better option.

On that Porygon2,I would try to fit Tri Attack (possibly taking out ice beam). For the Porygon2 Ev spread, try - 252 hp/252 def/4 sp.atk. For the Azumarill, try Assault Vest or Choice Band as the item, since you have all attacking moves. For that Landorus set, try Focus Blast/Earth Power/Psychic/Sludge Wave. Mega-Scizor usually doesn't run all attacking moves, so I would try Swords Dance/SuperPower/Bug bite/ Bullet punch. With Porygon2 having hp and def investment, I feel as if one of your Pokemon need Assault Vest or Rotom-Mow should be 252 hp/252 sp.def/4sp.atk. I don't recommend Spikes and Scald on Greninja. Hidden Power fire/surf or hydro pump/dark pulse/ice beam

Thanks for the replies, guys! I'll try out your suggestions!
I'll get rid of the spikes on Greninja.
I'll give Azumarril a better item.
I'll make my Porygon physically defensive.

As for a special sponge, I'll test if Rotom is enough. If not, please recommend! I was thinking maybe assault vest for him/her(it?).

And I'll test out the other changes both of you recommended:)

I would suggest taking out rotom-m in favour of offensive mega venusaur with hp fire. Venu allows your team to have fire coverage while keeping the grass typing and checks common threats like Keldeo and azumarill. If that does not work then an amoongus with clear smog would allow you to have a bulky pivot and a phazer. Mega scizor would work better with a bulky SD set because it will allow you to rampage through teams late game.

:]
