SV OU Need help improving my team (cant get passed 1600 ELO)

I've never been good at team building because it is confusing, but I've been doing my best to learn. I got this team from a national dex team and tweaked it a bit and its been pretty good for me, but i would like to see if anyone has any recommendations to make it more suited for OU. I also need to just get better at the game but that comes with playing the game. (please excuse any spelling errrors)

Latias @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stored Power
- Aura Sphere
- Calm Mind
- Agility

Honestly, Latias and Latios have always been my favorite pokemon and I always want them on my teams. This Latias set has gotten me alot of sweeps and if theres anything it cant kill after an agillty and a calm mind or two, the other mons can deal with.

Iron Valiant @ Choice Specs
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Aura Sphere
- Psyshock
- Vacuum Wave

For Val, i just saw pinkacross use specs val in a recent video and I thought it would be better than the calm mind val the team previously had, but i may go back to calm mind just to see how it fares.

Landorus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 160 Def / 92 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock

Landorus is a good defensive mon for me especially with rocky helmet. i have it set one point faster than primarina becasue ive gotten cooked by it a couple times so being able to get a fast u-turn on it has been helpful. stone edge has also helped alot with catching certain mons off guard.

Iron Treads @ Assault Vest
Ability: Quark Drive
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 4 Def / 80 SpD / 168 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Ice Spinner
- Rapid Spin
- Volt Switch

I honestly wanted to switch treads with tusk but i like the fact that treads gets volt switch which i didnt know until i saw the team. obviously i cant voltswitch around ground types but having ice spinner really helps alot with that. its also one of my favorite spinners.

Samurott-Hisui (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sharpness
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Aqua Cutter
- Ceaseless Edge
- Sacred Sword
- Flip Turn

Samurott has been a really good lead for me against alot of teams. It does limit it a bit because it does get locked into a move so if i out speed something like a lead pult and KO it with ceaseless they basically get to bring in something for free but thats just par for the course.

Gholdengo @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Good as Gold
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Make It Rain
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Trick

This is one of my favorite mons on the team. If someone finds out Samuratt is scarfed they dont usually expect for Gholdengo to also be scarfed. Trick helps alot with defensive pokeomon or stally teams.

That is all for my team, any help is greatly appreciated.

You have the right idea by going to Pinkacross's YouTube channel for ideas, but I would say that this current team is 6 OU sets thrown together without any general strategy for winning. I don't see any easy fixes that would change that, unfortunately. I do think you have the right mindset to get better by playing more. Keep experimenting and trying as many things as possible.

The main issue I see with this team, or what jumps out at me immediately, is that mixed Booster Val is a big problem for your team. The Moonblast/Knock Off/Close Combat set wipes pretty much the entire team (barring a Latias tera.) One quick change you can make is changing Val to Scarf or Booster so it's at least a 50/50, or in the case of Scarf you'll always outspeed if the exhaust booster.

Obviously 3 Scarfers are a lot for one team. Considering that the primary structure of your team is a hazard stack team, you might want to change Ghold to defensive Air Balloon so he can serve as a better spin blocker. You should also think about adding Knock Off to the team so you can take off Heavy Duty Boots.

Again, being mostly a hazard stack team, I think you should switch Latias for Latios with Luster Purge, to encourage more switches. It gets Flip Turn to keep up offensive pressure, and/or you can Trick HDB off of opposing mons with a Choiced set (and lock Slowking/Gambit, etc.)

Try changing those three sets (Latios for Latias/Booster or Scarf Val/Defensive Air Balloon Ghold over Scarf) and see if that helps. It'll probably take some experimentation until you get a setup that really clicks.

Thinking more on it as I type this out, Booster Val with Encore may be preferable to a Scarfed set, to help you get out of scary situations vs stall or set-up.
