Dragapult is used as a fast special attacker meant to do big damage to opponent’s Pokémon whenever it comes in. I switched from boots to specs because I found it wasn’t doing as much damage as I needed it to do. Maxed out speed so that it can outspeed many mons in this tier. I used hex instead of shadow ball because of toxic spikes from pex, flamethrower for extra type coverage, Draco meteor because it’s the strongest special dragon move, and u-turn for a bad matchup. Usually I use pult as my lead as I have found that it can outspeed and okho or deal big damage to whatever the opponent leads with.

Toxapex is on here to switch into physical attackers such as urshifu and barraskewada and wall them. I used helmet because I felt that it would provide more value than black sludge, as toxapex already has recover and regenerator. I used recover to heal whenever I needed to, knock off to remove items on forced switch, haze to stop sweepers from setting up, and toxic spikes to help pult’s hex. I mainly use u-turn or a switch from other pokemon to go into pex when I know the opponent is going to use a physical move.

:Heatran:

Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

Heatran’s purpose is to trap the opponent’s stall pokemon, such as blissey and clefable, and also to do cripple pokemon on forced switches with magma storm/toxic. Magma storm is here because it is a strong stab move and can be used to trap pokemon, earth power is here to do damage after magma storm because it has 100% accuracy, taunt is here to stop trapped pokemon from healing or using moves like teleport to get out, toxic is here to poison forced switches. I mainly use u- turn from pult or landorus to bring it in against pokemon that have a fire weakness, like Kartana, then either do damage with magma storm or toxic to pokem on that comes out next. Sometimes I lead with Heatran to trap and kill their entry hazard setter so they can’t set them again.

:Clefable:
Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Moonblast
- Knock Off
- Soft-Boiled
- Wish

Clefable is here to provide healing for the rest of the team and to absorb special attacks. Moonblast is here to do decent damage against pokemon that are weak to fairy, knock off is here to remove items from active pokemon or switch ins, soft boiled is here to heal itself fast, and wish is here to switch into another weak pokemon and regain that pokemons health. I mainly switch into clefable from Kartana or pult to absorb hits and use wish to heal pokemon that are weak.

:Kartana:
Kartana @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Smart Strike
- Leaf Blade
- Knock Off
- Sacred Sword

Kartana’s purpose is to provide a physical damage dealer and to sweep with choice scarf when most threats have been removed. Smart strike because it is a good steal move that doesn’t check accuracy, leaf blade because it is a strong grass move, knock off to remove items on switch ins, sacred sword for fighting type coverage. I mainly switch into Kartana with landorus’s u-turn, then I use either knock if they have to switch or a strong move to deal damage to the active pokemon. Another strat I use is to kill threats to Kartana then bring him in and sweep with scarf and beast boost.

:Landorus-Therian:
Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Def / 92 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Defog
- Stealth Rock

Landorus is used to tank physical hits, provide strong earthquakes and set up stealth rock/defog. Earthquake is there because it is a strong physical ground type move, u turn is there so I can switch into other pokemon when needed, defog is there to remove the hazards the opponent places, stealth rock is there to provide switch in damage for opponents. I use it to switch in and set up stealth rock or defog, then u turn out to a different pokemon.
