ORAS UU Need help on Mega Gallade team

Dragalge @ Assault Vest
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Dragon Pulse
- Sludge Bomb
- Icy Wind
- Venoshock
Assault Vest for already good sp. Def. Dragon pulse=stab w/o draco meteor's -2 sp. Attack after one use. Sludge bomb for chance to poison and stab. Icy wind to slow down pokemon that would normally do good against this team. Venoshock is to use after poison(might replace).

Gallade-Mega (M) @ Galladite
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Substitute
- Drain Punch
- Psycho Cut
Pretty standard Gallade set imo. Sub to scout and get mega speed boost. And eventually set up sub later on to have security after a pokemon possibly switches out. Drain punch to recover health after swordsdance and sub. Psycho cut physical psychic. Might replace it with zen headbutt.

Ambipom @ Shell Bell
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- U-turn
- Double Hit
- Knock Off
I needed a fast and strong fake out user and the first one to come to mind was ambipom. U-turn whenever something threatening like a fighting type comes in. Double hit for strong stab that breaks sashes and gets technician+stab boost. Knock off to hit ghost types hard. Shell bell to heal back entry hazard health. Not so sure about shell bell though, may need to change item.

Azelf @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Trick
- Energy Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
- Psychic
When i first made the team it had a bunch of physical sweepers but not enough special sweepers. Used to be haxorus w scarf. Trick for set up pokes. Energy ball for super effective damage on swampert, a huge threat in uu. Dazzling gleam to hit dragons hard. Psychic for reliable stab. Scarf for extra speed.

Noivern @ Choice Specs
Ability: Frisk
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Dragon Pulse
- Flamethrower
- Dark Pulse
- Boomburst
Dragon pulse stab(might replace because nuetral boomburst does more). Flamethrower to cover ice. Dark pulse for coverage and to hit other azelf's hard. Boomburst for reliable power.

Magneton @ Eviolite
Ability: Analytic
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA
Bold Nature
- Substitute
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
Was looking for a bulky t wave user. Thought of magnezone, but he is ou. Sub is a filler i rarely use it. Tbolt stab takes out flying types that hurt gallade. Flash cannon for stab and chance to drop sp. Def.

Strengths of team: Gallade= beast
Noivern can faint around 2 or 3 pokes if it gets going.
Fast pokemon except for dragalge and magneton.

Weaknesses: No hazards
Unsure about dragon pulse on noivern, sub on magneton, sub on gallade, venoshock on dragalge, and shell bell on ambipom.

Threats: Alakazam is a huge threat against this team.
Darmanitan can do good against my team sometimes.
Rain teams

I am thinking of replacing magneton with a galvantula that has t wave sticky web and thunder.
Not sure if this would fit in at all but i really like slurpuff with belly drum drain punch play rough and aromatherapy.

Hello, a few things that I'd like to talk about here.

1. Dragalge's main niche in ORAS is firing off insanely powerful Draco Meteors and having a powerful Poison-type STAB move to punish fairies who would want to switch in. Also, Icy Wind and Venoshock are not the best moves. I would suggest trying out this set.

Dragalge @ Choice Specs
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Nature: Modest
-Draco Meteor
-Sludge Wave
-Focus Blast
-Sleep Talk / Dragon Pulse

What this set specializes in is just breaking down big walls so that other things can waltz right through. Draco Meteor does over 50% to Scarf Jirachi, so switch ins are definitely limited if you can find free turns to fire off Dracos. I use Sludge Wave > Sludge Bomb because that way your STAB move can hit Chesnaught. This is a preference thing so feel free to run Bomb > Wave if you'd like. Focus Blast is there to hit Steel-types like Empoleon and Mega Aggron. Sleep Talk allows Dragalge to function as a Sleep Absorber, and lets it switch into Amoonguss with impunity. Dragon Pulse can be used instead as a more consistent STAB move

2. In my opinion, Gallade is better off running a Substitute Bulk Up set instead of Sub SD. But I think that straight Swords Dance fits better here. Try this.

Gallade @ Galladite
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Nature: Jolly
-Swords Dance
-Close Combat
-Zen Headbutt
-Shadow Sneak

This set allows you to punch through a lot of your would be counters. Knock Off can be used over Shadow Sneak but I find that priority is always nice. I opt for Close Combat because it is far more powerful than Drain Punch.

3. Ambipom is bad. It really doesn't have a niche in the metagame. If you REALLY need a fake out user, you're likely better off with Mienshao. In fact, I would consolidate your next two slots into one and use Scarf Mienshao instead of Azelf and Ambipom.

Mienshao @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Nature: Jolly
-High Jump Kick
-Stone Edge / Knock Off / Jump Kick
-Knock Off / Poison Jab / Jump Kick
-U-turn

This set functions as a late game cleaner who is capable of punching holes early on with powerful High Jump Kicks.

4. Noivern is sitting in a bad place at the moment as well. I think a Life Orb Hydreigon would be a good fit here.

Hydreigon @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Nature: Hasty
-Draco Meteor
-Dark Pulse
-Fire Blast / Superpower
-Roost

5. Try out Bulky Rotom-Heat > Magneton. I have to go soon but you should be able to find a set if you look on Smogon's XY Dex.

6. Try Swampert out in that slot that is free now. Gives you hazards and also just is a nice and bulky mon to take some hits. Again this can be found on Smogon's XY Dex.
