ORAS OU Need help with my Mega-Altaria team (i'm new in this)

First sorry for my English, I'm from Belgium.
Second, I'm new in making teams so I used the smogon dex for suggestions after I made it myself.(* I used smogon for those moves + all the evs)

My team:



Altaria (F) @ Altarianite
Ability: Natural Cure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
- Cotton Guard
- Roost
- Hyper Voice
- Roar*

I wanted to make Altaria the star of my team. I saw that a Cotton Guard Altaria pretty sweet is (for the user ;p). Cotton Guard for setting up def and roost for healing it again. Hyper Voice is stronger with pixelate and I think it's good. Roar is for swithing the foe pokémon that can harm my Altaria.



Heatran @ Shuca Berry*
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 184 HP / 252 SpA / 72 Spe
Modest Nature
- Heat Wave
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon
- Stealth Rock

I wanted to cover M-Altaria weakness ice and fairy. That's why I use Heatran for my special attacker.
Heatwave and flash cannon are stab and good for covering the weakness of M-Altaria. Earth Power is a good move for Heatran and protect was suggested by smogon. I used the Shuca Berry for saving Heatran from a OHKO eq.(again smogon)



Keldeo @ Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 24 HP / 252 SpA / 232 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Calm Mind
- Substitute

I used Keldeo for slowing others with Icy Wind. Scald and Secret Sword are stab and good moves.
Protect was again suggested by smogon. I use life orb for more power. I use Keldeo as a special attack that support my Altaria.



Chansey (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
- Soft-Boiled
- Heal Bell
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss

I was looking at my team and I saw that I needed more def. And who has more Hp than Chansey ;p.
Eviolite is the best item for Chansey. (I think so) Soft-Boiled and Heal Bell are for healing and curing.
Toxic for getting those bulkie pokémon and Seismic Toss some offend. Chansey is my def wall.



Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog*
- Draco Meteor
- Roost
- Psyshock

I also wanted a good Spd and I saw that Latias a good Spd has. I also realised i didn't look at weakness anymore, so if you know a better pokémon please say it. Because I needed also a defogger I used defog on Latias. (Saw it on smogon) Draco Meteor and Psyshock where just for stab moves. (I didn't think much after keldeo, I just choosed good moves. Again I'm not used making teams) Roost is for getting my lost hp back beacaus i make a lot of misplays -_-. Latias is my Spd wall for my team.



Thundurus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Taunt
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Here I looked again at weakness and wanted to cover electricity. I have never used Thundurus so I looked it up on smogon and copied it. I'm gonna use it against electrictric types, but now I think of it thundurus is not so great for this job. Any suggestions?


I hope this is enough info, I'm really tried my best making this.
If you see something better (I'm sure you will), please say it.
I want to learn more about competitive battling.

Read the RmT rules and edit the post, otherwise it will get deleted. You don't need to edit too much, just fix the format and add some more things.

EDIT: I'd also like to mention that some of your sets are for the VGC/Doubles, search for sets with the OU tag
 
I readed them when I was making it.

I'm really a new to this so I don't see my errors.
About that format what do you mean? I saw it to by the rules but I don't understand it.

funny this reminds me of what i used to make when i started playing. a few things to change would be
- chansey dosent wall or do anything for this team really and its just useless
-the evs on altaria....
-altaria cant effecintly run a effective cotton guard set until metagros is banned
-you need stealth rocks
-protect on tran is useless

You need to have 3 sentences on every pokemon or your rmt will be locked

-Which pokémon should I use instead for chansey?
-Any suggestion for replacing protect on heatran?
 
First off, replace Protect on everything-those sets you have are for the VGC, which is a doubles format, where Protect is really useful. Actually, since you got them off Smogon pages, use the specially defensive Heatran set and Choice Specs Keldeo. I'll add more changes later.
 
First, to be honest, Cotton Guard seems like a fun move to use on paper, but it doesn't solve its vulnerability to special attackers and status inducers.

Second, I'm not sure why you're running Protect and Icy Wind on Keldeo. Most of Keldeo's targets are already beaten by a Scald / Secret Sword combo, and you won't be staying on Latias, Latios, Serperior, Mega Sceptile, and Mega Altaria anyways. Or you probably got confused with a moveset from Smogon Doubles. If you want, you can run a SubCM set.

Keldeo @ Leftovers
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Substitute

With a SubCM set, you also get an effective stallbreaker, as well as a more efficient answer to Chansey. Timid 252 Speed EVs are mandatory to speed tie with opposing Keldeo and Terrakion. Set up a Subsitute on something that doesn't threaten you, or a Pokemon you force out, then set up Calm Mind provided its counters are gone.

Next, find a Stealth Rock setter. Stealth Rocks are mandatory for every team, since it's obvious that they break Focus Sashes and also crippling Talonflame, Mega Charizard-X and Y, Volcarona, Mega Pinsir, etc. Generally, you should never make a team without Stealth Rock. Heatran fits this role, so run Stealth Rock > Protect.
 
Yea, you really have to, since you have literally no physical attackers. Also, replace Thundurus with something else, a physical attacker but not sure what right now. Edit the changes so others can see them.
