Hi everyone, I go by PDizzle on pokemon showdown. I used to play a lot of nu, but now I have moved on to ou. I would like to think that I am a pretty good battler. So far with this team, I have 1970 points and I peaked at 2004 with a 36-9 record. The team is based around predictions and hitting hard with strong pokemon such as choice banded terrakion. However, I feel as though the team as a whole lacks the unity that it needs. I remember I used to have a huge problem with skarmory as I couldn't break him down with my team when I had latios. I lost one match becomes the opponent had his entry hazards out and just shuffled my pokemon in and out. I thought having rotom-w would help with my skarmory problem and also help out against landorus because landorus is always a threat. But sadly, I haven't like it too much. Perhaps it is the set that I am running but rotom-w is one of the pokes I want to replace on this team. Another poke I would like to change would be one of my offensive core (Jirachi, Terrakion, Mamoswine). However, whenever I take one out, I always feel like I need one of them. I would like to replace one of them with a strong special attacker that would help the team against strong defensive walls. So thats basically it. Here's an in depth look at my team.

Queen Latifah (Hippowdon) (F) @ Leftovers
hippowdon_vs_metagross_by_michelle4645-d35twgd.jpg

Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Whirlwind
God Save the Queen! I love this big mama so much. There is nothing special about this set. It is your standard defensive hippowdon. She is a great counter to offensive dragon types as she can easily take outrages then slack off or she can phase them out with whirlwind. She can also suprisingly take some special attacks but I really don't like putting her in that situation. She is also my stealth rocker and I personally don't see a problem with her. However, you can suggest a spdef terrakion with a strong def partner and I would gladly try but then again I really like this hippowdon.

Shallots (Celebi) @ Leftovers
shiny_celebi_in_a_cup_by_drawerelma-d4g96br.jpg

Trait: Natural Cure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Baton Pass
- Recover
- Giga Drain
- Psychic
Celebi is my main special wall. She is my main answer to rain teams. She is also really good with momentum as I can baton pass out and switch to the poke I want to. I personally believe Celebi is an underrated special wall. She partners with hippowdon and with jirach and rotom as they can take the ice moves aimed at them.

Zidane (Jirachi) @ Choice Scarf

Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Iron Head
- Zen Headbutt
- U-turn
- Fire Punch
This Jirachi set is a set that is starting to become popular and it is pretty obvious by the nickname. Jirachi, with a choice scarf, can hax the living **** out of you unless you have a strong counter against it. I remember one time when I was trapped by a magnezone and I was locked into iron head. I was able to kill the magnezone by flinching around 10 times in a row. Scarf Jirachi is a great pokemon, who can come in many times and is great at keeping momentum.

100% N*gga (Terrakion) @ Choice Band

Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- X-Scissor
- Quick Attack
Choice Banded Terrakion hits so hard. His only true counter is landorus-t, forrerestress or a skarmory at full hp. However, Skarmory can't really switch in as it can potentially get 2 hko. To be honest, I tend to spam choice banded close combat as I know most pokes are 2 hko by it. I love the immediate power it brings to the table and it would be sad to see him leave but if any have a better suggestion, I'll try.

ManBearPig (Mamoswine) (M) @ Life Orb

Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Ice Shard
- Icicle Crash
- Earthquake
- Superpower
Mamoswine is so underrated. He is my answer to dragon types that love to set as he can ohko them with ice shard or put a huge dent so jirachi can revenge kill. I love his offensive typing. Ground and Ice pair so nicely together as they cover each other's weakness.

Scrotom (Rotom-Wash) @ Chesto Berry
Rotom_Wash_Forme___FINAL_by_OxyBr.jpg

Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Thunder Wave
- Rest
Now, I use to have latias on this team but I switched rotom w for her. The latias I had was a max speed with def investment calm mind set with hp fire and dragon pulse. whenever I faced a sun team, I made sure latias was healthy as I knew she would win me the game. But the problem with latias was that she was susceptible to toxic and didn't pack the immediate power that I look for. For this reason, I switched her with rotom w. In theory, rotom w should work well with this team as she should be able to easily switch in on landorus and be a good skarm counter. However, I feel as thought rotom w is too weak of a poke to be an effective wall and that he dies too early. He is a poke that I would definitely like to switch.

So there you have it, this is my team. I have tried out other pokes as well. Here is a list of them:

Thirsty (Latias) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 144 HP / 112 Def / 252 Spd

- Roost

- Dragon Pulse

- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover

Hi! You are definitely right when you say you have issue with skarmory. That is certainly a problem too since he seems to be so common on sand teams now. To help with this, I just have one small suggestion:

ManBearPig (Mamoswine) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 132 Atk / 124 SpAtt / 252 Spd
Naughty Nature
- Ice Shard
- Icicle Crash
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Fire]

This mamoswine can 2hko skarmory after stealth rocks. Not only that, but skarmory will very likely be switching in to check mamo so catching him on the switch will allow you to do away with him (or at the very least, weaken him so that any other member of your team can break through)

Good luck!
