VGC Need help with reg H balance team.

Greetings my fellow competitive enthusiasts. Today I am in dire need of assistance with a team I have been tweaking for the past month or so. It is an iteration of my double choice team I made a few months ago. I am trying everything to make it work, but I don't know if I can. If possible, I would like to keep the Pokemon primarily the same, but I wouldn't mind a strong alternative, but I want to try and stay true to my goal. Thank you in advance, and without further ado, let's get started.

Mad Monke (Annihilape) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Defiant
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 100 Atk / 156 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Final Gambit
- Close Combat
- Throat Chop
- Rage Fist
First off, we have Annihilape. This was a more recent addition, and I haven't done a lot of testing with it. The idea is with its ghost type, access to final gambit, and a great HP stat, he is my main answer to dangerous mons like Kingambit that are normally tough to remove. I have moves such as CC, rage fist, and throat chop for solid options if final gambit isn't the best. Annihilape has exactly the amount of speed EVs to outspeed a jolly pult with help from choice scarf. The rest is in HP for more damage, and attack if final gambit isn't an option. I am still unsure about Annihilape, but I want to try and find a mon that can deal with pokemon like sneasler and kingambit.

Cotton Candy (Whimsicott) (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Prankster
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Tailwind
- Encore
- Helping Hand
Whimsicott is the glue of this team. I rely on Tailwind a lot, with lots of mons who love being fast. With moonblast for damage, encore for punishing any safe moves made by the opponent, such as protect, and helping hand to boost partner's damage. It has a standard EV spread, with max special attack and max speed. Sash is run, I have seen suggestions for covert cloak, but Idk because I need to be able to live a hit.

Freddy (Ursaluna-Bloodmoon) @ Life Orb
Ability: Mind's Eye
Level: 50
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 228 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA / 20 SpD / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Blood Moon
- Hyper Voice
- Earth Power
- Protect
Ursaluna is a more gimmicky start, and I like it. I run a pretty standard move set for him, with standard item and tera. But where things get interesting is how he functions, with tailwind, I can outspeed a ton of mons and kill the quick with powerful moves. It pairs amazingly with whimsicott and one of my better leads. I have a more balanced EV spread.

Donkey Kong (Rillaboom) (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Grassy Surge
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 244 HP / 132 Atk / 12 Def / 44 SpD / 76 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Wood Hammer
- U-turn
- Grassy Glide
- Fake Out
Rillaboom has always been one of my top mons and for a good reason. I got this EV spread a while ago and it still is one of the best I've ever used. I have great speed, attack, and amazing bulk. I run a pretty average moveset, with good damage, pivoting, and fake out pressure. Tera fire and assault vest are run to help round it out.

Leviathan (Gyarados) (F) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 252 HP / 68 Atk / 13 Def / 76 SpD / 100 Spe
Careful Nature
IVs: 30 SpA
- Thunder Wave
- Taunt
- Waterfall
- Protect
Gyarados is a more interesting mon I added as a way to have a water type and a support pokemon. It gets great supporting tools with taunt, thunder wave for good speed control, and waterfall for solid damage. Intimidate makes it a great way to deal with physical attackers. Besides this, gyarados is great against eruption spam, being able to eat anything they throw at it. With sitrus berry to keep it alive, and tera grass to deal with electric types, it's very well-rounded as well. My EV spread is pretty great I'd say, with enough in everything to make it especially bulky.

Kommo-o (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 204 HP / 52 Def / 36 SpA / 116 SpD / 100 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Iron Defense
- Body Press
- Protect
- Flamethrower
Finally, we have an ironpress Kommo-o. I don't have the much experience with him either, but I have enough. Iron-press is incredibly strong and his fighting type helps to elevate this. I have overcoat right now but I have been debating soundproof. I am running a more special attacking kommo-o with flamethrower and tera fire for damage. Kommo-o pairs very nicely with rillaboom, where fakeout pressure helps to let kommo-o set up an iron defense, and then grassy terrain plus leftovers recovery can make kommo-o an unbreakable wall near the end of the battle.

I want to mention that Annihiape is a very recent addition, before this, I had an arcanine hisui. I am gonna leave him here too because I don't know if I want to give him up or more so just maybe a rework.

Shisa (Arcanine-Hisui) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Rock Head
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 12 HP / 252 Atk / 20 Def / 4 SpD / 220 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Extreme Speed
- Rock Slide
- Flare Blitz
- Head Smash
Arcanine functioned similarly to annihilape. With powerful damage and valuable rock typing, I ran him for a while. His main problem is that he is very prone to fakeout, and the two moves I want to click most of the time, rock slide and head smash, are both inaccurate. I do believe in him though, since he paired very well with Whimsicott, but he was a tera magnet, with two 4x weaknesses, he died so quickly it was often better not to bring him.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I do realise this team isn't that great YET, but that's why I'm asking for help. I would like to keep the main concept the same if possible, since I want to have fun and crush my opponents. But seriously I appreciate you taking the time to read this and I am open to any and all advice on how I can make it better.

Sidenote: If you have any questions about something I forgot to cover, don't feel afraid to ask. I'm more than happy to clear up any confusion.

Heyo! Really cool team, although some sets and one particular Pokemon feels kind of out of place.

Ninetales-A is a issue for this team, with it hitting hard until the majority of your team

Dragonite with Haze can also be scary for this team.

I'd say switch Gyarados to Arcanine-Hisui, since it hits hard into both the aforementioned threats. Also, even with the recoil damage, I still recommend Intimidate there with a potential Tera Normal/Ghost, but that's up to you.

Whimsicott feels iffy here, I'd say use Ninetales-A, which, with Screens, can help boost Kommo-o's bulk.

Change Annihilape to Tera Grass for Amoonguss, and use Shadow Claw over Rage Fist (trust me on this one). Coaching should be used over Throat Chop, as Coaching can boost ally Rillaboom or Kommo-o.

For a Ninetales-A set, Covert Cloak with Protect, Aurora Veil, Tera Water, Moonblast and Icy Wind can work, with max speed timid, 156 EVs into special attack, and rest into hp.

Well thanks so much. I forgot to mention, but I changed a couple things out in my search. I swapped annihilape for a typhlosion hisui. It's a standard scarf eruption set, and I gave whim sunny day and cloak over helping hand and sash. Besides that, I was thinking about swapping ursaluna for a gastrodon. It gets clear smog, helping with dozo, and ice beam and earth power, which hits most of the meta for neutral or super effective damage. I am debating swapping out gyarados too, since most pokemon in the meta rn don't care about intimidate, and if the opponent has a gambit or annihiliape, then I risk giving them an attack boost. Any suggestions?

Aight well idk what to do bc I tried out a gastrodon and Idk, it can help but also can't take a hit and is kinda a one trick pony with clear smog. But it got one shot so now idk.

I actually don't fully understand gastro here anyways, isn't it primarily to draw in water? You have only 1 weakness ATM, and that's the Mon you'd replace with gastro. From there most of the team resists water.

That's why I'm struggling rn, I need something to fill the last slot of Typhlosion H, whimsicott, rillaboom, gyarados, and kommo-o. They all haev good synergy with a Fire-Water-Grass core and a fast mode with Typh, I just don't know what to run in the last slot. Something that can haze or clear smog would be nice, and I do struggle a little with pokemon like sneasler, ceruledge, and kingambit. Any suggestions?

Ok, so a water w/ haze hm. Maybe Dondozo? Usually I'd think they're w/ Tatsugiri here, but it DOES get haze.

Edit: somehow misunderstood. Even though I know it a FWG core already, the. Ew Mon needn't be water too. Still dozo looks ok, big def for your issues.

Ill try it out, I do wonder how it may clash with gyarados, but I am open to trying it. Any suggestion for moveset and item, since I am running leftovers on Kommo-o

Ok, I was trying some stuff out, and I think I may have found something that could work.

King Boo (Gengar) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Cursed Body
Level: 50
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Clear Smog
- Protect
- Disable
- Sludge Bomb
It's fast, can run sash, gets clear smog AND haze, but clear smog would be better. I have disable, which can lead to a lot of fun combos with encore +disable. Sludge bomb is good poison coverage too. Thoughts?

But you said ceruledge and king? Idk it that good but gl!

I wouldn't know a good set on dozo since it doubles, sorry.

EDIT: for sneasler you may do well w/ vital spirit ape. that voids the meanest reliable status from claw, you can still full para, but that is a roll and not for sure you're asleep at least 1 turn.

2nd edit: Gengar might actually work, but even on sash I MIGHT look into some bulk, cause Clear Smog is low damage. Oh, and did you mean to put sludge bomb too, or shadow ball?

I’m running clear smog for resetting stat changes, not for damage. I’ll look into other options, another option could be a doubles gliscor, it’s the sneasler counter
