Meowscarada is an outstanding lead and revenge killer for any Dark team due to its great Speed, access to U-Turn and ability to change it's weakness with Protean. Flower Trick easily sweeps Water-, Rock- and Ground-type threats such as Great Tusk, Tyranitar and Greninja. Knock Off deals with Ghost- and Psychic-type pokemon such as Gholdengo and Gallade and also cripples pokemon which rely on items like Rocky Helmet on Skarmory and Toxapex and Klefki's Light Clay. Triple Axel keeps Dragon- and Flying-type pokemon in check such as Dragonite, Corviknight and Hisuian Goodra and it also OHKO's all the Ogerpon formes and Clodsire. U-Turn allows Meowscarada to safely pivot out from forced switches like Archaludon and Torkoal to bring in teammates such as Choice Specs Hydreigon and Hoopa-U that remove these threats while also providing chip damage and it can also be used to eliminate other Choice Band Meowscaradas.
Greninja and Meowscarada can break through each other's checks, Greninja can beat Toxapex and Skarmory for Meowscarada, while Choice Scarf Meowscarada can revenge kill Flutter Mane and Hisiuian Goodra for Greninja. Kingambit is an incredible late-game sweeper, picking off faster threats like Choice Scarf Flutter Mane with Sucker Punch, and it beats down Fairy-types such as Hatterene for Meowscarada. In return, Meowscarada can pick off Iron Valiant, allowing Kingambit to better pressure Fairy teams. Sableye can switch into Fighting-type attacks for Meowscarada, such as Zamazenta's Body Press, and either cripple their users with Prankster Will-O-Wisp or force them to switch with Prankster Encore. Sableye can also prevent Pokemon like Toxapex and Archaludon from spreading Hazards and Status conditions thanks to Prankster Taunt. Hydreigon and Hoopa-U can take on walls such as Archaludon and Torkoal for Meowscarada. Hisuian Samurott sets up Spikes against the opposing team and provides a Fire resistance that is helpful against Volcarona and Ceruledge. Alolan Muk provides a switch from special attacks especially Fairy-type attacks which lets it switch into Flutter Mane and Enamorus and in return, Meowscarada removes Ground-types like Landorus and Great Tusk that cause trouble for Alolan Muk.

Toxic Spikes can also be used as an option, it provides safe Hazard setup when Meowscarada is threatening a switch thus spreading poison and completely crippling teams with no hazard control. Trick is also an alternative which allows Meowscarada to neutralize walls and set-up threats such as Toxapex, Iron Hands, IronPress Skarmory and Dragon Dance Gouging Fire.
