New Awesome Team! [OU]

I decided I'd have a go at an OU team, but the last time I played Blissey was the most used Pokemon, so the metagame must have changed a lot since I last played.

Metagross @ Choice Scarf
Jolly
28 HP/252 Atk/228 Spe
Meteor Mash
Earthquake
Ice Punch
Thunderpunch

I picked Metagross because I needed a dragon resist. It gets a few suprise kills thanks to its speed and brings lots of useful resists to my team. It also helps to finish Pokemon off that Mamoswine is too slow to kill. Grass knot and Hp Fire would be useful, but I don't think I have enough moveslots for it - I could put it over Thunderpunch, but that would give me Gyarados trouble, and I don't think Zapdos can take care of it. Maybe Trick could work too, but I like keeping a fast Pokemon for lategame.

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Bold
252 HP/220 Def 36 Spe
Thunderbolt
Heatwave
Roost
Hidden Power [Ice]

Zapdos is a good physical wall on my team, and brings a Ground immunity to my team. I tried with Light Screen over hidden power, but then I couldn't deal with Ground Pokemon, but without Heatwave Steels were an issue, so I put both. I was thinking Discharge over Thunderbolt, I don't know if that would to too weak to kill certain Pokemon or something, but it would give me some Paralysis support that Porygon-Z needs.

Hariyama @ Leftovers
Impish
76 HP/180 Atk/252 Def
Thick Fat
Knock Off
Force Palm
Ice Punch
Whirlwind

My secondary Physical wall and knock off support. He also helps by bringing fire and ice thanks to thick fat. Force Palm has a higher paralysis rate, and doesn't have defensive drops like Close Combat. Whirlwind helps to get rid of stat raisers and baton pass chains, but unfortunately does not build up entry hazard damage because I don't have anyone with Stealth Rock on my team.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Calm
252 Def/80 SpA/176 SpD
Wish
Protect
Flamethrower
Seismic Toss

Special Wall. Standard WishBliss, who I thought would be useful because I have two Choice users, but I don't particularly like it though, especially because I can't touch Heatran. Would the "Diverse Blissey" set work better? I'm unsure about thunderwave and toxic, because paralysis support would further help Porygon-Z, but Toxic helps to get bulky waters which can be annoying.

Mamoswine @ Choice Band
Adamant
64 HP/252 Atk/192 Spe
Earthquake
Stone Edge
Ice Shard
Superpower

Physical Sweeper, who packs more power opposed to Metagross who is more of a lead/finisher. Its good to have a prioity move on my team, especially one that can kill Skymin. I thought I'd try out Superpower, the new Platinum move, but I haven't really found any situation where it is useful. I would like to swap this to lessen my team's fighting weakness, and because I don't really like it, but don't know what else would be good here.

Starmie @ Leftovers
Timid
160 HP / 132 SpA / 216 Spee
Thunderbolt
Rapid Spin
Recover
Surf

Put over Porygon-Z

The only reason for HP Water is because I can't work out how to get HP Ice because something keeps coming up saying Invalid IVs.

Just pick HP Ice and set your Attack IV to 22. Works for me.

EDIT: Just tried it again and 10 also works, which is actually better for times when you're confused.

Thanks! I changed it to 10

You should make your metagross a trick lead.

Metagross @ Choice Scarf
Jolly
252 HP/252 Spe/ 4 ATK
Trick
Explosion
Stealth Rock
Thunderpunch/Ice Punch

What you do is, use trick on a non-trick lead, set up stealth rocks, and either you can ditch him with Explosion or spam with Thunderpunch/Ice Punch.

You're scary fighting weak.

No, hariyama does not resist fighting (if that's what you meant, I can't really tell).

Scarfhera can rip you apart, so can subsalac. And mixape...Oh boy.

I don't really like that Metagross set personally - it doesn't seem to do much besides lead, and I like using it for its resists and stuff.

Yeah, I was thinking of swapping Porygon-Z for Azelf and Mamoswine for something else, maybe Kingrda or something.

If you're willing to take out Porygon-Z for something that actually helps you against MixApe and Fighting pokemon in general, I would strongly suggest using a Starmie might be useful, it will give you a sure counter to MixApe, and some coverage against with Gyarados as well, and since this team really lacks a Rapid Spinner, because without a Rapid Spinner, this team can pretty much get murdered by Toxic Spikes and Spikes, and Stealth Rock killing Zapdos, which will then will leave you open to a Lucario sweep, which we don't really want that to happen. Talking about Stealth Rocks, that set that Zathuria isn't a bad idea at all, tricking a Scarf into regular walls that come into Metagross like Skarmory can really fuck them up, and get rid of it and set up Stealth Rocks, and then just Explode when the time comes, so surely try out that set posted by Zathura. This team gets murdered by Heatran, since nothing here is switch in into a Modest Scarf one, and that Blissey isn't doing shit to Heatran. I would strongly suggest using Seismic Toss over Toxic, Seismic Toss / Flamethrower is a good combination, you still cover Heatran and can bring down Bulky Pokemon while Flamethrower stops Fortress from trying to use you as set up bait, and I have used this set personally so I can assure you it will be successful.

I don't really think you will have problems with Heracross, they aren't that popular now, and this team can pretty much take the Close Combats and Megahorns with Zapdos, but then again you might not play around Heracross as I do, so if you really want some Heracross coverage, I would suggest replacing Haryiama with Rotom-H, again only do this if you think you cannot handle Heracross, because this will make you Tyranitar weak, so I won't really recommend doing this, only if you really fear Heracross.

I'll put Starmie over Porygon-Z; stealth rock and toxic spikes have been a problem for this team and a spinner would be great. It'd give me a water resist too, which I don't have at the moment. I'll change to Seismic Toss on Blissey too.

I'll try out that Metagross set, but without Metagross, I'm left with Mamoswine, who has bad defensive typing and is slow, I just don't know who to put over it.
