Talonflame @ Choice Band
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Brave Bird
- U-turn
- Roost
Out from the skies, comes flying this flaming bird thingy. Riiight. To me, Gen 6 is defined by the abilities of the Pokemon released. Talonflame and Greninja would be pretty damn useless without Gale Wings and Protean, and I don't even know how Aegislash would operate. Anywho, Talonflame is my main revenge killer, as well as the Bird who clears the land of Pinsir killers. Once again, mostly standard. I think. Roost is for healing with Gale Wings, and I'll most likely be switching him back anyway. Adamant over Jolly, because I really need the extra power with Talonflame'sbad workable 81 attack.
Pinsir-Mega @ Pinsirite
Ability: Aerilate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Return
- Quick Attack
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
This monstrosity with a buggish jet pack is my sweeper. Get a few swords dances set up, and just sit back, and spam quick attack. Or return. Or EQ. You get the gist. Staraptor and Talonflame are in the team mainly as revenge killers, and to clear the field of Pinsir killers, so sweeps become much more easy. I chose Quick Attack over Feint, because IMO, priority is more important, as 105 is not that good anymore? (Hell, idk). Swords dance for sweeps, and Return is pretty staple. The EVS are really standard. This is probably the most standard Pinsir ever.
Staraptor @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Double Team
- Close Combat
- U-turn
My secondary emo revenge killer, as well as the vanquisher of Pinsir killers, here comes Staraptor. I honestly don't even know why he is on my team. I'm thinking of replacing him with Gyardos, but I'm not sure. Any suggestions?
Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Hidden Power [Fire]
I added Latios because of Defog support. No, really. With stealth rocks on the field, Talonflame is screwed, Staraptor can't spam U-Turn, and I will have to stop my Pinsir from mega-evolving. I chose Latios over the other rapid-spin users like Excadrill and Starmie, because I feel that even without the need for Defog support, Latios isn't dead-weight, as it has levitate, and it has decent coverage, as well as great speed and offensive stats. (110 Speed is meh, actually)
Keldeo-Resolute @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Secret Sword
- Hydro Pump
- Scald
- Icy Wind
This MLG pony is my wall breaker. He comes packed with a choice specs and secret sword to bust right through that Blissey pink blob thing. Timid is for speed, because for Keldeo, with a choice specs already, speed is probably more important. I use Scald, because those burns are really important to me, as my team is rather frail, bar my Ferrothorn. Icy Wind is my coverage, I pick it over other options, mainly because it lowers speed, so I can get my opponent to switch out, or I could out speed and kill the opposing Pokemon. Once again, standard EVs.
Ferrothorn @ Shed Shell
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Thunder Wave
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball
- Stealth Rock
My Birds can't net OHKOs right on their own, so what do we do? Go to Ubers? NO. Here is my lead, Ferrothron, as well as my wall. Standard Nature, and EVs, as well as a very standard moveset. I use stealth rock over spikes, because nothing is *immune* to it, unlike spikes, with flying types, and levitators. Thunder wave to cripple fast 'mons, gyro ball to utilize my crap speed, and leech seed is staple/standard.
Thanks for reading/rating!
