New Names.

I remember when the feature to change your own name by yourself first came out.. and we were allowed to change it up to 3 times before you were stuck with your final name.

Now you can only change it once?

I haven't used any of my "turns" yet. So is it just me? Or was there a change from 3 to 1.

Because 1 sucks.

There was a sitewide change, it's not just you who now only has 1 name change left.

People were abusing the name changes. Besides, you should never need more than one, because name changes aren't meant to be used in gimmicks.
