New OU Team. defensive wall help

Gliscor2.gif

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Taunt
- Roost
- Stealth Rock

This lead is probably the best choice because of the coverage. it still forces the dragons to Outrage because of its immunity to everything except outrage letting me switch in steelix to either set up rocks or just phaze away.
if the dragon has become a big threat i can explode to get them down lategame
this lead taunts the slower starters

Gengar.jpg

Gengar *Timid* @ Wide Lens
252Sp.atk/252Speed/6Hp
Shadow Ball
Hypnosis
Focus Blast
Thunderbolt

Salamence.jpg

Salamence *Adamant* Lum Berry [intimidate]
40Hp 252Attack 218Speed
DD
Outrage
Fire Blast
EQ

MMmmmhhh Sexy salamence. this is the metagames most used lategame sweeper of the physical kind. its just lovely. do not care if you guys think its cheap cause i would have used this thing even if it didnt know DD and had just as low base stats as flygon Lol.
beat that u wannabe Chomp.
Salamence gets stopped by bliss if its still alive because it gets T-waved. therefore i get up two DD's before i EQ it to death. since im holding Lum and stuff.
i could go with Yache berry or LO but i am not scared of ice shard users. even though the likes of weavile knowing both ice shard and brick break will try to stop me ill switch to gyarados to absorb the ice shard. lower the attack and then switch to steelix and EQ it.

steelix.png
(small picture Yo xD)
Steelix @ Leftovers
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 246 HP/10 Atk/252 SDef
Relaxed nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Explosion
- Earthquake
- Roar
- Stealth Rock

This is the best wall on EARTH or just ground except for Donphan.
anyway i love it. theres no physical moves OHKOing it unboosted
mence needs 3 flamethrowers to get it down and i can just phaze it away.
thers no need to use Careful nature on this bastard really. because it wont make that big difference really.
this is a functionable dragon killer. in the earlier days this was used to counter chomp with ease
now its made for owning the others. this one loves Outrage mence.
if i switch inn gyarados against mence. its forced to use Outrage and ill switch directly back to Steelix.

Vaporeon.jpg

Vaporeon @ Leftovers [Calm nature]
Ability: Water absorb
252hp 200sp.def 58sp.attack
Acid Armor
Baton Pass
Ice Beam
Wish

this one supports steelix and it Puts a dent in Zapdos with its "powerful" ice beam attack
(Note: Zapdos doesnt die if its the sp.def wall sort.)
since it survives T-Bolt it doesnt need to switch out if zapdos is sent in because Steelix gives me stealth rock support.
Acid armor is there so that the dragons wont kill me with outrage and the less used D-Claw
i could go with protect instead of baton pass but steelix wont mind to get doubled defense either haha. As well as my bulky emp and Yanmega to survive ice shards with ease.

JessieYanmega.jpg

Yanmega @ Wide Lens [Modest]
252Sp.defense 252speed 6HP
Hynosis
Substitute
HP Ice
Bug Buzz

Byebye Zapdos and dragons. have a fukken nice day lol.
have a HP ice 70 to chew on while u get owned by 364sp.attack
this can come in whenever i want though it likes to come in when bliss is dead.
it hates stealth rock.

well you have a huge weakness to electric, i would change you team around, but theres to much to be changed, and then i would just consider myslelf mean for changing so much. But, try an change it on your own, or get lucky to have someone revamp your team. sorry! just giving you the heads up! good luck!

i know about the electric weakness D:
*pointing at empoleon* why not replace him with something that kills Zappy and others?

EDIT: If i Replace empoleon with Mamoswine.
wont it be easier? i know thres a chance of Zappy carrying heat wave.
but max HP helps or what?
or could i possibly go with weavile?
i happen to have an adamant SD'er with ice shard.
maybe i could go with F-sash
and ill replace that damn Steelix with Donphan? :3
i still want Roar on Phan ofc. and i will keep SR.

EQ
Roar
SR
R-Spin ?

I noticed some issues with this team, the main one being that you have a gaping Electric weakness as already mentioned. Specs Jolteon can put a significant dent through most of this team. Standard Zapdos with HP Ice can sweep your whole team without absolutely any problem whatsoever. First off, you have three bulky Waters. Even though they all aren't doing the exact same roles, Gyarados and Empoleon are a lot identical in what they are performing for the team; physical attackers. I want to recommend that you take out Gyarados and in exchange, put Gliscor as your lead.

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SAtk)
~ Earthquake
~ Taunt
~ Roost
~ Stealth Rock

You can still Taunt other SR leads, but with more success since Gliscor is a little faster than Gyarados. Since you can also set up Stealth Rock, block Electric attacks, and phaze (to an extent) with Taunt, this mostly renders Steelix's whole role completely useless and in turn frees up a spot. I know this set is less offensive than what you probably want, so I want to mention that another possibility is going for an Azelf lead which is optional, as this allows you to have a lead that can set up SR and Taunt other leads. Azelf is also faster than most leads assuming they are non-Scarfed.

Now on to Steelix's freed up spot. I still want to throw out that even if you do put Gliscor in your team, you'll still be very vulnerable to being swept by a Electric attacker, specifially Specs Jolteon and Zapdos as I mentioned earlier. Generally, anything with Thunderbolt and a decent Special Attack stat can just keep firing them off until you can't take much more and are too weakened. As of now, I think the best member that can eliminate the previously mentioned weaknesses would be Tyranitar. From here, you have to options: going for a DD sweeper or a CB Tar. Personally, I think another stat booster is redundant and an immediate strong attacker that doesn't need to set up would work great for you imo. With that being said, here's what I recommend:

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 176 HP / 252 Atk / 80 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
~ Stone Edge
~ Crunch
~ Pursuit
~ Aqua Tail / Earthquake

This halts every Jolteon and Zapdos that you will come across with ease. Tyranitar laughs at Thunderbolts and the stated two threats will either have to stay in and be OHKO'ed by Stone Edge or switch out and take a huge chuck of damage from Pursuit. I generally don't recommend Aqua Tail on Tyranitar, but there are some obvious pokes that should be carrying a Water attack and aren't (Vaporeon for example), so if a Hippowdon or something similar comes in on you, it will have to risk being 2HKO'ed by Aqua Tail. However, Earthquake is your all around hard hitting attack and is your only means at hitting Steels like Jirachi although Crunch should hit it hard enough. Another thing is that the Sandstorm produced by T-Tar has synergy with Gliscor's Sand Veil.

Now that Steelix is gone, Vaporeon doesn't need to pass any stat boosts. I honestly just don't like Vaporeons current moveset because it doesn't look as though it accomplishes anything really. First off I would drop Acid Armor and Baton Pass for Surf and Protect so that you can have better means of hitting Fire Pokemon. Also Protect to work with Wish and receive the health recovery without having to be harmed while Wish activates, and also for stalling. This is optional, but I would drop Ice Beam for Hidden Power Electric if you want to handle Gyarados better. If you haven't had issues with him up until this point, then keep Ice Beam.

Hmm interesting :P
thank you. ill work something out of this.
i think it will turn out even more balanced having forretress and Empoleon instead of T-Tar and Empoleon.
the team becomes awfully pure offensive+defensive
its not like i have a tank of some sort but i guess this will work :0
