Been Battling on the circuit for a while now and been playing around with many pokemon trying to find a team that works for me (which has been a task in itself). I'm by no means a super battler, but have racked up a few wins here and there. I have access to many pokemon so if you suggest a better one I probably have it! So, without further adeu, heres the rundown (You may also notice I have trouble thinking of a good lead...)
Rampardos
Adamant
Focus Sash
252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 6 SpD
Rock polish
Head smash
Stone edge
Earth quake
The premise of thus guy is to kill what he can, quick. I'm sure you've all seen this set before, first turn I either rock polish or attack depending on weather they will attack or status (so it takes some prediction). Once he has a rock polish going for him, It a simple case of killing as much as I can before he gets shut down by a priority move, or dies from a damaging status. Burn and paralysis wrecks him completely, as does sleep. Head smash is here as a last resort to hopefully guarantee a kill before he goes down (usually from the force of his own attack :D). Had Varying degree's of success with this guy, ranging from a bit of damage to 3 fainted pokemon.
Tentacruel
Calm
Leftovers
204 HP / 96 SpA / 172 SpD / 36 Spe
Toxic Spikes
Rapid spin
Surf
Ice beam
No one likes toxic, so this guy emphasizes on that fact, switching in on other slower tanks to set up the spikes. As you know he's more than sterling at taking special attacks, so he's the teams primary special sponge.
Tangrowth
Impish
Leftovers
252 HP / 228 Def / 28 Spe
Power whip
Knock off
leech seed
sleep powder
Good at killing swampert and other waters with power whip and gets good hits on anything that doesn't resist. Leech seed and leftovers give it some great longevity, while sleep powder to force switches. I bring this guy in on Tyranitar and watch him squirm as he fails to kill me and power whip scored a nice dent in the rocky beast.
Dugtrio
Adamant
Life orb
252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Earthquake
Stone edge
sucker punch
aerial ace
Revenge killer. Anything I don't like, or can't handle (I'm looking at you heatran...) I trap, out speed, and go for a quick kill. Sucker punch is good for gengar and the occasional alakazam that try to wail on me.
Dragonite
(Nature not yet decided)
Yache berry
252 Spe / 160 Hp / 96 SpD
Dragon Dance
Dragon claw
Roost
Heal bell/ Thunder wave
My own creation iv'e been laying about with and am yet to properly test. Basically a bulky Dragonite designed to take and ice beam and laugh as he gets in a dragon dance, and kills, then recovers with roost. Heal bell is there because it helps him and everyone else on my team, or thunder wave is good for the poisons and steels that resist the toxic spikes (and require a switch from me unless I am heavily Dragon danced).
Jirachi
Bold
Leftovers
252 HP / 224 Def / 32 Spe
Doom desire
Wish
Healing wish
Protect
Doom desire hits everything pretty strongly and while its getting ready I can stall using the toxic from tentacruel in conjunction with protect and wish. Healing wish just incase i have something that needs to live to win the match.
I'm not the greatest at making these threads but i hope this is an ok team!
all comments and criticism welcome!
