New RMT, I'm open to advice.

Here is my new team. I've been out of pokemon a while, but since the announcement of Platinum i've decided to get back into it, and using this team:

shiny-35alakazam.gif

Alakazam@Focus Sash
Counter
Psychic
Focus Blast
Grass Knot
Nature: Timid
Evs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

This guy is nasty. I can never see why he's borderline, most likely Gengar. Anyway, he has high speed and very high sp.atk, and with this set he can be suprising also. Most teams now lead with a scarfer so as to be much faster than anything else, and this works it against them. And if their lead is a wall such as bronzong, Alakazam can still seriously dent it.

And even if he gets damages, making the sash useless, Wish support allow him to achieve his greatness again.

Bronzong@Leftovers
Stealth Rock
Gyro Ball
Earthquake
Hypnosis
Nature: Sassy
Evs: 252 HP / 200 Atk / 52Def

This team needs more support, i thought, so i'll bring in the Ground-resistant cavalry. Gyro Ball packs a punch, and it can set up the ever present rocks and set dangers to sleep, so Gliscor can set up on them and pass it on.

vaporeonsprite.gif

Vaporeon@Leftovers
Wish
HP [Electric]
Protect
Surf/Ice Beam
Nature: Bold
EVs: 188HP/ 200Def / 108Sp.Atk / 12Sp.Def

This destroys any Infernape or Garchomp meddling with the team. It can wish pass to the pokemon that need it, and it can take out Gyarados as well with its Hidden Power. It can Portect to scout for deadly moves and for free leftovers. My only issue is what move to has as the last one, both moves there have their good points. Surf gets STAB but Ice BEam allows her to OHKO Garchomp and the like.

Blissey@Leftovers
Seismic Toss
Ice Beam
Thunder Wave
Softbioled
Nature: Calm
Evs: 252 Def / 176 Sp.Def / 80 Sp.Att

YOu can't live with or without Blissey, if we're honest.

This team needed a good special wall so i got the best there is to offer.

Machamp.gif

Machamp@Choice Scarf
Close Combat/Dynamicpunch
Ice Punch
Thunder Punch
Fire Punch/Fire Blast
Nature: Jolly
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 12 HP / 252 Atk / 244 Spe

THis team needs a DDTar counter, and Machamp is one of the best. With Jolly and a Scarf he hits 340, more than enough to lethally suprise the opponent. THe only thing i am having troubles with is the moveset. With No Guard, Dynamicpunch will always hit, and always confuse. But Close Combat is more powerful, and i might not be staying in very long. ICe punch and Thunder punch are fine for coverage, but when Skarmory comes in Fire Blast does more damage to him than Fire Punch, and it would OHKO any Forretress. But maybe i should keep it all physical?

tmb_Jirachi.jpg

Jirachi@Life Orb
Zen Headbutt
Ice Punch
Thunderbolt
HP [Fight]
Nature: Naive
EVs: 200Atk/ 200Sp.Atk / 110 Spd

This mixed Jirachi is a monster when used correctly. With 100 across the board, it can be used in any way you see fit, and this is mixed Jirachi. Similar to the mixed Salamance, it can switch in on something that expects a Psychic and Zen headbutt it, and vice versa. Very versatile, and deadly in the right situation.

But if you have any other ideas for the last slow, i'm happy to hear you out!

Thats my team, what do you all think?

Yeah I would go with a special Ice attack for Jirachi, as those weak to ice are likely to have high defense.

Id beware of status as well...Maybe Aromatherapy over Thunder Wave on Bliss... Ive noticed Electavires every where and they could be a problem

I played against this team yesterday actually.

Your Jirachi set is odd, but it did catch me by surprise. However, I would switch the Fighting and Ice attacks. Drain Punch does more to Tyranitar and Blissey and grabs you a bit of extra healing. As Minerva said, a special Ice attack is better against the likes of Hippo, Gliscor, Donphan, etc. If you're dropping HP Fighting, then HP Ice is an option, but I would go with Icy Wind instead. Not sure if it 2HKOs an incoming Yache Garchomp, but Life Orb or Leftovers versions should die in two hits.

DynamicPunch on Machamp definitely, the auto-confusion is too good to pass up.

I would also consider getting rid of Alakazam and Bronzong for Metagross, then either Gengar or NP Azelf. Your team needs the extra offensive power, as it struggles to break down Cresselia. Metagross is a big help there.
