New RMT

Well, my first RMT had a lot of holes in it, so I decided to do a little more research and analysis, and have come up with this team.

Team at at glance.

Gyarados @ Leftovers
Adamant Nature
72 HP / 252 Atk / 184 Spe

Dragon Dance
Waterfall
Earthquake
Ice Fang

Gyarados is my starter, mainly for Intimidate. Most people expect a starter Gyarados to be rather bulky and not pack as much punch as this one does. I'm not entirely sure about keeping it as a starter, because I find myself switching out more often then not. I'll get to this a little more later.

Machamp @ Leftovers
Adamant Nature
252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe

Dynamic Punch
Stone Edge
Rest
Sleep Talk

My status absorber. He also packs a killer punch with 100% accurate Dynamic Punches and Stone Edges due to No Guard. I wanted a pokemon that could pack a punch while still being bulky, and this is an excellent choice.

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Impish Nature
252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def

Earthquake
Ice Fang
Stealth Rock
Roost

I replaced Forretress for a Gliscor. Normally, I'd like to run Aerial Ace instead of Ice Fang, though Ice Fang is neccesary for taking out those pesky Garchomps. Stealth Rock for added support and Roost for healing.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Modest Nature
48 HP / 252 SpA / 208 Spe

Fire Blast
Earth Power
Dragon Pulse
HP Ice

I like Heatran, though I'm sure that this one could be better. Lava Plume is used for a secondary STAB attack that offers better accuracy, and the Burn rate is pretty nice. Adding HP Ice would be nice to pack an extra punch against the Dragons that populate the upper tiers, so thats probably a future project for me.

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Bold Nature
188 HP / 252 Def / 68 SpA

Surf
Ice Beam
HP Electric
Wish

I was amazed at how well this thing could take a hit. Its capable of shrugging off a lot of attacks, and it strikes back with the ever popular 'Bolt'/Beam combo. Being able to pass around a Wish is just icing on the proverbial cake. I really like this guy better than Starmie, as it only has two weaknesses and a lot more bulk. I definately want to keep this guy.

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Adamant Nature
252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe

Pursuit
Crunch
Stone Edge
Earthquake

Your standard CB Tyranitar. This thing is a BEAST, plain and simple. The only real thing I've thought of changing is switching its Adamant nature for a Careful nature for a little more Special Defense. I doubt that the attack drop will be that noticable, but can I have some opinions from some others?

I'm going to try a threat list, but its my first time doing so, and I've almost definately forgotten something.

Infernape - My last team was considered to be Infernape weak, but I don't think its that big of a problem this time. Vaporeon shrugs off non-Nasty Plotted Grass Knots and OHKO's with STABed Surf. Gyarados should also OHKO with a STABed Waterfall. Heatran could come in on any non-Close Combat move and OHKO with Earth Power.

Gyarados - Vaporeon can switch in on almost any move and take it down with a few HP Electrics. Machamp can also switch in and kill it with 100% accurate Stone Edges.

Heracross - Gliscor comes in to shrug off Heracross's attacks and spams Earthquakes at the bug. Aerial Ace could be used as a way of killing Heracross faster.

Tyranitar - Machamp can take it out with a Dynamic Punch and is resistant to all of Tyranitar's STAB moves. Gyarados and Tyranitar can hit back with their own Earthquakes, but need to be weary of Stone Edge and Earthquake, respectively.

Lucario - Gliscor can handle the physical sets by throwing Earthquakes. Lucario is pretty frail, so Heatran and Gyarados have the possibilities of taking it out as well. Special sets can cause some problems, so I'll have to be careful with those.

Metagross - Gliscor can come in and throw Earthquakes at it. Heatran can also come in an throw Fire Blasts.

Weavile - Machamp resists all of its STAB attacks and can strike back with Dynamic Punch.

Gengar - Gengar provides a problem for my team. He has the capability of OHKO'ing Tyranitar with Focus Blast, though Tyranitar will definately kill Gengar of the Focus Blast misses.

Garchomp - Gliscor can come in and Ice Fang it. Vaporeon also has enough Special Attack to hit a OHKO, barring a Yache Berry.

Salamance - Once again, it has the potential to be downed by Ice Beam/Fang. It all depends on which version I'm going against as to how my strategy will go in taking it down.

I figure thats a big enough threat list for right now. I'm sure everyone will begin to hack it apart and add things in no time.

Changes
Replaced Forretress with Gliscor
Added HP Ice to Heatran

Gyarados isn't too keen on switching in on Heracross either with those Offensively geared EVs - which of course mans you are Heracross weak. With SR down, Gyarados only gets to switch in ONCE, which isn't enough.

So take your own advice - use Gliscor over Forrestress. Your team is offensive enough that it will deal enough damage without the use of Toxic Spikes, and Gyara is the only one weak to SR so Rapid Spin isn't too necessary. Gliscor laughs at Scarf/Band Chomp and stops Heracross in it's tracks. You can even run Stealth Rock on it to boot to give you that indirect damage. It also reduces the workload on Vaporeon since Forry isn't going to be switching in too many times.

You want HP Ice on Heatran, especially if you're keen on revenge killing Dragons.

Careful CBTar is very nice, but I found that it generally lacks the same "oomph" that the Adamant will have. If you find that your team needs more special defense (insurance against LO Gengar, whom your team also has issues against, laughing at Starmie, etc), then go ahead and use it. Although I like TTar in that it's the only thing stopping you from being completely walled by Cresselia, so I would enjoy the extra power for now (if it's scarfed, Pursuit it, if it's LO, then heatran should be able to come in on anything except Focus Blast and laugh at it, and you can wear it down since Vappy can take Focus Blasts pretty well)

I rarely say this in the RMT forum, but I must say this is a very well constructed team. Like all teams throughout shoddy, yours has room for improvement. Although this team has few "major" weaknesses, you have a horrible problem with bulky waters in general. Starmie could give you a hell of a time(assuming Stealth Rock has been set up by your opponent); Tyranitar is 2HKOed by Surf so it won't get the chance to Pursuit/Crunch. To "mend" the Starmie weakness, change Tyranitar's spread to 252 attack/ 174 special defense/ 84 speed. You still outspeed Skarmory with 4 speed evs before they can Roost into a rock resistance, and take less than 40 percent from Starmie Surfs in most cases. Moving on, I really don't see a need for a Wishpasser like Vaporeon. You carry a team of very bulky pokemon, none of which hold a Life Orb. You could just replace it with a standard spinning Starmie(Surf/Thunderbolt/Recover/Rapid Spin- 172 hp/ 224 speed/ 114 satk) to spin away the rocks from Gyarados. Which reminds me to tell you...Gyarados is not too good of a lead these days. Gengar's presence as a lead on half of all teams kills Gyarados's effectiveness as a lead. First, change the set to Taunt/Waterfall/Stone Edge/Dragon Dance. Make Machamp lead so you can start matches absorbing Gengar's Hypnosis and also make the battle start in your favor with 100 percent accurate DynamicPunches. Change Machamp's spread to 108 hp/ 144 attack/252 defense/ 8 speed, with Ice Punch over Stone Edge for Garchomps that show up later on.

Pretty good.
