New Team, New Strategy, New Lead(RMT)

After thinking this very thouroughly, I think this could work My goal is to wall a lot of stuff, weaken them, and swoop in with an unexpected surprise attack

Heracross @ AScarf
Trait: Guts
EVs: 252 Speed/ 252 Attack/ 6 HP
Jolly (+Speed, -Sp. Attack)
- In Fight
- Shadow Claw
- Aerial Ace
- Megahorn

This thing is made to lead and kill of common leads by using a max speed stat to kill leads like gengar, Starmie, other Heras, ect. This thing can be a pain to kill and can switch between heatran to wall flying attacks and stealth rock up.

Bronzong@ Leftoves
Nature: Brave
Ability: Levitate
Ev spread: 252 Att/136 Sp.Def/116 HP
-Reflect
-Earthquake
-Stealth Rock
-Grass Rope/Hypnosis

Reflect on the Gabby switch, laugh as they realise that either their fire fang or quake isn't effective and doesn't land much of a dent, set up stealth rock, Hypnosis or leave, then switch in on an innefective attack and use Grass Rope or earthquake to mash them. Seems effective but getting burned will lower this things attack power even though this thing ain't made to attack. This thing can tank, live, set up, and kill all in one, except the killing is limited. This is my Support Pokemon that I hope will save me with good defenses and stealth rock.

Slowbro @ Leftovers
Trait: own tempo
EVs: 64? Sp. Def/104 Speed/ 188 Sp.Att/148? Def (Need Help with EVs)
Modest (+Sp. Attack, - attack)
- Surf
- Flamethrower
- Slack Off
- Ice Beam

My special sweeper made to stop Garchomp, Ground types, Salamence, Dragonite, Metagross, and almost any other threat under the sun. It can kill then slack off and keep going, this thing will win with something using Will O’ Wisp or thunderwave to let it sweep and recover. This thing would work better if I can EV it good enough so it can survive meteoric swarm from AGmence.

Blissey @ leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Def / 44 SAtk
Modest (+Sp att, -att)
- Calm Mind
- Softboiled
- Grass Rope
- Ice Beam

My special Wall that has been so over used in the years. This set will help it kill most of it’s weaknesses not named infernape or heatran. Send it in to wall any special attack not called pulse bomb or focus bomb Then Calm Mind up, use attacks and heal, repeat. This thing will be a good wall/Minimal sweeper and it is a bit of a variety of what’s regularly used.

(To be removed)
Heatran @ Focus Strip
Evs: 96 HP, 30 Sp Att, 192 Def and Sp def
Trait: Flash Fire
Bold Nature(+def, -att)
- Stealth Rock
- Wow
- Explosion
- rock slide

I have turned Heatran into a team supporter that can hopefully help this team a lot. Stealth Rock, Wisp, Hope you survive something with the strip, then boom yourself or try to kill with Rock Slide. The only reason to be using rock slide is for more pp and more accuracy.

Manaphy@ Leftovers
Evs: 164 Def, 252 sp att, 88 in HP
Modest: (+Sp att, - att)
-Rain Dance
-Surf
-Grass Rope
-Rest?

As I’m sure you guys have noticed, I have a gaping hole for infernape to come and sweep through my team due to having Bliss, Hera, and Bronzong with no heatproof and that is not going to help me win with almost every 1 out of three teams having infernape going mix. It can ignore infernape using grass rope due to being light, and giving it enough Evs in defense to hit 300 even with a 0 Def IV and the rest in HP to give it survivality. Not sure what to stick in the last slot.

This team’s main goal: To win by using an offensive defense. Some of my earlier EV’s suck, I know, but I hope you guys can help me with that. Now, on to the threat list.

My New Replacement for Heatran

Gliscor@ Leftovers
Sand Veil
Impish(+att, -sp. att)
EVs: 252 def, 112 speed, 140 attack
- Fire Fang
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Fang
- EQ

Made to counter as many physical threats as possible including.... Heracross, T- Tar, Gyarados, and some others big threats. I want it to be able to set up Stealth Rock and live so I'm thinking of giving it a + def, - sp.att nature and 252 defense so it can survive as many attacks as possible. Any opinions as to wether or not to replace it with heatran?

Threat List

Tyranitar: Can be KOd by Gliscor by using quake and sand veil
Gyarados: Gliscor may be able to win if Gyarados comes in to attack, if not, it can switch in and weaken it slightly.
Rhyperior: My best hope is probably Slowbro
Electivire: Hopefully Gliscor can ko it.
Heracross: Can be killed by my own heracross
Salamence: Can be killed by Slowbro and blissey.
Togekiss: Gliscor and Slowbro can win against a togekiss most of the time.
Gengar: Shadow clawing it can hopefully kill it by using heracross
Garchomp: Slowbro actually has a good chance of killing this along with Bronzong.
Raikou: If it's running HP grass, I might win, if it has HP ice, I'm dead.
Lucario: Bronzong should be able to handle it if it doesn't have blaze kick but Gliscor can do it too even though it has better things to do.
Rampardos: Heracross can kill it with infight for sure
Tauros: Heracross can probably kill it, it is my best choice to take it down.
Starmie: Bronzong can kill it with grass rope and blissey can set up on it if it doesn't have have recover to heal after using grass rope.
Weavile: I actually just realized that this thing can sweep through my team if it is the choice band variety.
Dugtrio: Slowbro should be able to kill it with minor difficulty
Alakazam: Bronzong laughs a lot unless it uses guard swap then it cries saying I'm going to die due to lack of defense in which case my heracross becomes my best hope.
PorygonZ: Hopefull Heracross can kill it if it doesn't have hyper beam.
Medicham: Hera can kill the choice band version if not, I’m dead
Staraptor: Gliscor can fare well against it.
Slowbro: Gliscor can win if it doesn't run ice beam
Aerodactyl: Gliscor does well against it
Snorlax: Heracross can probably win
Blissey: Heracross is my best hope
Suicune: It can kill my gliscor with ease so I really don't have anything to stop it but every team has one weakness, no? But it will probably be used less than manaphy
Sceptile: Blissey can kill it yet so can gliscor
Slaking: I dunno, Heracross?
Ninjask: Gliscor can fare well against it
Metagross: Gliscor does ok against it
Celebi: Another pokemon that can kill it
Jirachi: Gliscor can fare well sometimes
Manaphy: The only thing I cannot guarantee death to.

Thank you to all the people who have posted in the lead thread and have given me the information to make the best lead possible.

Changes are in Bold.

Good luck switching into a CB Megahorn.....
Gyarados and Raikou will give you insane problems

Cant see how youd beat Suicune, It will walk all over your team...Remember it can Calm Mind. Only thing that will come close to stopping it is Heracross and the fire/steel thing is you really want to risk exploding with it.

Also, You dont really have anything that can switch into ''BOAH ttar''.

Slowbro's Surf (311 Special Attack) vs. 0 HP/SDef Tyranitar is 80 - 94%, so it can't OHKO.
Tyranitar's CB Crunch vs. your Slowbro is an easy OHKO.

Manaphy's Surf (328 Special Attack) vs. 0 HP/SDef Tyranitar is 85 - 99%.
Tyranitar's CB Stone Edge vs. your Manaphy does 65 - 77%.
Tyranitar's CB Crunch vs. your Manaphy does 52 - 61%.

Rock Slide on Heatran is terrible. It's unSTABed, has 75 BP and you're using a hindering nature. Focus Strip is wasted if Heatran takes any kind of prior damage, which seems likely as you have no spinner. Gyarados will crap all over your Heatran if it Taunts your attempts to use WoW. Sorry, but the whole moveset is quite poor.

Your threat list is also full of flaws. Blissey is in no way a Rhyperior counter. Your apparent confidence in many of your "counters" is misplaced. Raikou can easily wear down Bronzong since it has no Leftovers. Celebi does not fear your Blissey at all, since it doesn't have Calm Mind and Raikou can actually set up on your Blissey.

Like I posted before, Heatran was originally using a special move, Dragon Pulse, which is why it had that nature and EV spread. I am going to edit it know. Or should I keep Dragon Pulse? And also, should I replace Heatran completely? If so, any suggestions for something that could replace it?

Black Leather Jacket: Blissey should actually be able to handle it quite well even with one calm mind. Grass Rope should be able to handle Suicune quiet well.

Jibaku: I really need a ground type that can wall T-tar and Cross. Something like Gliscor, I guess. I actually will put it over Heatran.

Phuquoph: Is that calculation with or without hard rock, which is the only thing that Rhyperior should be using. Also, did you add in the rain dance from Manaphy?

Hard Rock makes no difference. Blissey has to switch into Rhyperior to be a counter, which it cannot do. Stone Edge or Earthquake will 2HKO given enough attack EVs or a CB and Rhyperior is likely to be faster if using a CB. Blissey's Grass Rope doesn't OHKO anyway.

Again, Rain Dance makes no difference. Manaphy will have to switch into Tyranitar to counter it, meaning it won't have time to set up a Rain Dance.

Phuquoph, you're right, I should have taken into account the fact that some of my pokemon might not have been able to switch in or keep alive due to A) Lack of defense and B) Speed. I will edit my counter list also. But I have also made some changes to my team line up and took out Heatran for Gliscor to help my Hera, T-Tar, and Gyarados problem although it also can stop Infernape quiet well with quake. I think I might replace manaphy with somethng else that can p-haze, spike, and deal with the land shark, or a combination of two of those, since the main reason that I had manaphy was to stop my infernape weak team from dying to it. Should I replace manaphy or keep it and is the gliscor a good replacement for Heatran?
