New Team - OU RMT

So, after messing around with Mence+Ninjask for a while I got bored of it, and went back to my old team. Same result.
So I decided to start from scratch.
Here's the result.

It has so far worked out wonderfully, with only 2 losses and 20~ wins.

Metagross @ Occa Berry
Adamant - Clear Body
252 HP / 236 Atk / 12 Def / 8 Spe
~ Stealth Rock / Earthquake
~ Meteor Mash
~ Explosion
~ Bullet Punch

Lead Gross. Everyone knows how this works. I have been alternating between this and Swampert, and so far he has proved quite useful. Stealth Rock helps a lot, since my team is quite adept at causing switches, but EQ has proved quite useful when faced against other Gross leads, in which case I switch over another 4 EVs to speed.

Kingdra @ Life Orb
Lonely - Swift Swim
252 Atk / 240 SpA / 16 Spe

~ Rain Dance
~ Waterfall
~ Hydro Pump
~ Draco Meteor

Mixed RD Kingdra. This functions as my generic wall-breaker, as well as an amazing mixed sweeper when the rain is on. Another great thing about using this is that everyone on my team except Dusknoir can benefit from the rain in way or another should Kingdra fall early.
The fact that this is not as widespread as MixMence or MixNape makes it a lot more effective, given that not so many teams are prepared for it.
This also makes the ban of opposing rain teams. 4-0 so far.

Starmie @ Leftovers
Timid - Natural Cure
136 HP / 156 Def / 216 Spe
~ Rapid Spin
~ Surf
~ Thunderbolt
~ Recover

I have somewhat of a pet peeve against opposing SR, so I really like my spinners. Starmie has been by far the most effective for me, especially because it reliably takes care of Gyara and Nape.
A lot of people have commented on the fact that Water overlaps with Kingdra, but Kingdra's Dragon typing making grass and electric neutral has made this a lot less concerning.

Dusknoir - Leftovers
Impish - Pressure
252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpD

~ Will-O-Wisp
~ Fire Punch
~ ThunderPunch
~ Pain Split

Dusknoir Tank. This functions as my wall, and it works great especially because there's very little that can get past this without getting quite a beating thanks to his stellar defenses. Using this as opposed to other walls leaves me free to keep just him instead of spending two slots on defense.
Between Starmie, Kingdra, Empoleon and to an extent, Scizor, Dragons are quite well covered here, so T-Punch is preferred.

Scizor @ Life Orb
Adamant - Technician
32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe
~ Swords Dance
~ Bullet Punch
~ Brick Break
~ Quick Attack

Scizor functions as the physical side of my late-game duo, with Empoleon being the special one. Their many resistances and the fact that Kingdra usually opens up the opponent means power is more valuable than durability here, so Quick Attack for Napes and friends.
Brick Break is also preferred so as to keep the flow going.
With the rain on, it's usually much easier to get an SD off, which means this crimson bug is even more threatening in this team.

Empoleon @ Petaya Berry
Modest - Torrent
12 HP / 252 SpA / 12 SpD / 232 Spe

~ Agility
~ Substitute
~ Surf
~ Ice Beam

SubPetaya Empoleon forms the special part of my sweeping duo. Between Torrent, amazing speed and the Petaya boost, Ice Beam and Surf become quite a threatening pair, with the latter sometimes boosted even further by the occasional rain. Rain also adds fire to its already impressive list of resistances.
The reason I chose this is that I find it much more able to cause switches than some other contenders, which means setting up with Sub+Agility becomes much safer.

So this is my new team.
Thanks in advance.

You have no safe switch into Zapdos. I recommend a Latias over Kingdra with the standard Defensive Calm Minder set:

Latias @ Leftovers
Timid
Levitate
148 HP / 108 SpA / 252 Spe
- Calm Mind
- Dragon Pulse
- Recover
- Hidden Power Fire / Refresh

This team isn't all about the Rain obviously, so I see no problem getting rid of it. Your Scizor/Empoleon will still function very well. Hidden Power Fire provides great neutral type coverage alongside Dragon Pulse and is a fool-proof way of getting rid of Scizor, who could cause the team some problems with his U-turn/Pursuit, since Latias tends to lure him in quite a bit. Refresh is an option because it allows Latias to set up on Blissey, which really opens the game for Empoleon to sweep later.

Rapid Spinning on this team is a waste of time. I understand that opposing SR can be annoying, but in this Platinum OU world, you are not capitalizing on what can be a crucial turn by simply ridding the field of the Rocks and possible (T)Spikes. Since you need Starmie to be able to take on Gyarados, and to a degree, Lucario, I recommend that you try this set out, which makes Starmie a very, very underrated defensive Pokemon:

Starmie @ Leftovers
Bold
Natural Cure
252 HP / 240 Def / 16 Spe
- Reflect
- Recover
- Surf
- Thunderbolt

Reflect sures up a lot of holes in the team, like the SD Luke Weakness and the smaller, more manageable offensive Gyarados weakness. Latias also appreciates the screen because Pursuit is less of a problem.

However... 3 Pursuit weak Pokemon is too much imo. This means that Dusknoir should be replaced. He tends to struggle a bit in DPP anyways because of his lack of a 50% recovery move. In his place, Flygon fits very nicely. Losing your mixed "wall" in Dusknoir shouldn't be all that troublesome because with Flygon, you have typings covered very well. With the team of Metagross, Latias, Starmie, Flygon, Scizor, and Empoleon you have 2 or more resists to every single type and no more than 2 weaks to any type! The Choice Band set is my favorite, although the Scarf is good and reliable too:

Flygon @ Choice Band
Adamant / Jolly
Levitate
80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spe
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Stone Edge / Dragon Claw / Fire Punch

And btw, definitely use Stealth Rock over Earthquake on Metagross.

I hope this helps. I'm new at this team rating stuff :)

I've tried out your suggestions.
Starmie has worked fine, although I do sometimes miss the option to remove hazards.

As for removing Kingdra, I've noticed that because both my sweepers are kind of high-risk (LO and subing to 25%), the lack of a dedicated wall breaker has often enough led to the ruining of sweeps.

Flygon has indeed worked nicely, but I've never been quite fond of Choice items. It's been working out, but I sorely miss versatility.

I'm thinking of replacing Dusknoir with another attacker, or maybe a more offensively capable tank. Rhyperior maybe?
