I'm pretty new to 6v6 singles battling, I chose to start in OU an I think I've made a decent team, would gladly take any suggestions into consideration that will help my understanding of team building, competitive battling or the OU tier :)
This is only the 2.0 version of my very first team so be nice :P
Alakazam - Life Orb - Magic Guard - Timid
Psychic, Shadow Ball, Hidden Power Ice, Taunt
[Alakazam is used for as a Special Sweeper, Psychic and Shadow Ball are obvious choices and I like to carry HP Ice because it has great coverage, taunt is used against trickroom users, wish's and hazard leads.]
Dragonite - Leftovers - Multiscale - Jolly
Outrage, ExtremeSpeed, Fire Punch, Dragon Dance
[Dragonite is my bog standard Dragon pokemon, I usually use him as my lead to hit the hazard leads that many tend to use Ferrothorn/Forretress for high damage with Fire Punch or set-up DD.]
Ferrothorn - Leftovers - Iron Barbs - Impish
Protect, Leech Seed, Power Whip, Gyro Ball
[Being the most commonly used pokemon I've seen used so far in OU I don't think this needs an explanation, very standard set other than I've added protect to further stall out pokemon with Leech Seed.]
Landorus-T - Choice Band - Intimidate - Adamant
Earthquake, Stone-Edge, Paypack, Superpower
[This things hits like a mother trucker, it's huge 427 Attack that's further boosted by a Choice Band mean's I've KO'd pretty much everything that's stood in it's way.]
Zapdos - Life Orb - Pressure - Timid
Thunderbolt, Heat Wave, Hidden Power Water, Roost
[While Zapdos is UU it is one of my favourite pokemon and I respect it's coverage, not alot of people expect a HP Water, though a HP Grass would also be helpful.]
Donphan - Leftovers - Sturdy - Impish
Earthquake, Ice Shard, Rapid Spin, Stealth Rock
[Last but not least it's a very standard Donphan set, having Rapid Spin and Stealth Rock on the same pokemon is amazingly useful and the fact that it packs Ice Shard helps against Dragon pokemon.]
