I've played pretty much every Pokemon game in the main series apart from XY so it goes with out saying I'm a childhood fan of Pokemon. Not hardcore, just a normal fan who used to watch Pokemon as a kid and loved it.
A few weeks ago I started to battle competitive players for the heck of it. I didn't expect anything different than what you would get from gym leaders or the elite 4 in the games but boy was I wrong. I started with the 3 Gen 1 starters, Char/Blast/Veno, along with Swampert, Blaziken and Mega Mewtwo X.
I was battling UBER teams full of Mega Gengar's and Arceus's and not one Pokemon on my team had a status move. I was getting my ass kicked. It made me so angry until I figured out what tiers were and made an OU team. Nothing changed. I would be lucky if I could kill 1 or 2 Pokemon. Charizard's using Solar Beam, a pigeon and frog OHK'ing my whole team...I was light years behind the competitive players.
I studied more about type effectiveness, abilities, EV's, items, moves, synergy and everything you could think of and I still sucked. I was far behind everyone else. I looked for teams online and on youtube and while I won a battle or 2 I still couldn't compete and it felt cheap using someone else's team. I began to study other people's team's and tactics and began to put it together into one team and long story short, I've decided this team is the only way I can compete until I become more knowledgeable. Title say's it all. Troll team.
Some advice please guys.

Note: The purpose of this team is not to be the fastest, or utilize type effectiveness or boast attack or switch the speed of play with trick room or any other conventional meta game method for that fact. Instead it uses the most unorthodox method and even in defeat it's purpose is to confuse the opponent and break their strategy and also troll them in the process.
Move Keys:
BOLD RED: Key Move. Most Important.
BOLD PINK: Very Important.
Normal Pink: Important.
Black: Filler Moves.
Accelgor (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Any
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Final Gambit
- Spikes
- Encore
- Bug Buzz
This is the lead Pokemon, and it's only purpose is to kill whichever Pokemon is unfortunate enough to come out in front of it. Usually it is the other player's lead, or one of them. Unless it is a Talonflame Accelgor will always go first except for Fake Out users or priority mover's. 99% of the time you will OHKO the opposing Pokemon because not many have a higher HP unless it is a Ghost which is immune to Fighting. Some do have more HP and some have Focus Sash, which is a royal pain and if they setup Stealth Rock then Smeargle is almost useless to you. Accelgor is simply there to take away the opposing leads and break the team strategy.
Smeargle (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Technician (For that extra boost in Quick Attack)
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Spore
- Quick Attack
- Metal Burst
- Endeavor
Smeargle is there to troll all those extremely powerful but slow Pokemon like Tyranitar. But it's real purpose is to kill the invincible. Talonflame and Gengar gave my team a lot of trouble, as did that blasted frog Greninja or any other OP bulked up Pokemon so I swapped Roar and Toxic Spikes for Metal Burst and Quick Attack. If at full HP Smeargle will kill any Pokemon with a well timed Metal Burst counter besides the likes of Chansey and Snorlax. For everything else that is not a Talonflame, Ghost or bulked up there's Endeavor and Quick Attack until Smeargle falls. If Smeargle is hurt by Stealth Rock or Status problems then just smash that Endeavor till Smeargle is dead because it's useless now.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO MAKE YOUR SMEARGLE VERY WEAK DEFENSIVELY AS POSSIBLE. MINUS EV DV WHERE POSSIBLE IN HP AND ALL DEFENSE. IF YOU TAKE A HIT FROM U-TURN FOR EXAMPLE AND SURVIVE WITHOUT FOCUS SASH THEN ENDEAVOR BECOMES WEAKENED. YOU WANT IT TO LEAVE YOUR OPPONENT WITH 1 HP NOT 72 OR WHATEVER.
Victini @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Victory Star
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Final Gambit
- V-create
- Psychic
- Trick
A slower but more powerful version of Accelgor. If there is a Pokemon you cannot kill, such as stalling Venusaur, Espeon or just some bulky or threat Pokemon that can hurt Mew or Scizor OR just simply a Pokemon you want dead then bring in Victini. If it is not already dead it is a good swap for Fire attracting Scizor. If there is a threat to your team, bring in Victini, or if you have 2 to 1 Pokemon left, just use it for instant win. Again it will kill anything except for Ghosts, Chansey family, Snorlax etc.
Wobbuffet (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Shadow Tag
EVs: 84 HP / 172 Def / 252 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Mirror Coat
- Destiny Bond
- Counter
- Encore
Wobboffet is self explanatory. Trap those supporting or intoxicating Pokemon, switch to Scizor and get a free Swords Dance or 2. It also kills any Pokemon too since it can wall any attack and a well timed Counter or Mirror Coat will KO anything unless the attack was very weak or a Status move or a Fighting move used by a Ghost Pokemon such as Aegislash. Even then, Wobbuffet will always take at least 1 Pokemon or weaken it for Scizor to finish. If Wobbuffet it Poisoned or Burned, switch to Mew to heal. Then switch back to Wobbuffet and kill the Pokemon that tried to kill Mew. It's also good for Destiny Bonding Substitute users then Encoring them for Scizor when they stop using attack moves.
Mega Scizor (M) @ Scizorite
Trait: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Swords Dance
- Knock Off
Mega Ampharos was too slow. Meda Medicham was too weak. Mega Banette was...ok but inconsistent. Mega Scizor is a perfect revenge killer and weak Pokemon finisher. 1 HP + Leftovers or Sitrus Berry? Yeah Scizor can handle that. This is a defensive Scizor. Not something common at all or your opponent expects. It will take 2 to at least 3 hits of any attack that is not Fire before it even goes into the red zone. Meaning 1 or 2 guaranteed Sword Dance or 3 if the opponent switches out when Scizor comes in. The whole purpose of this team is to clear every Pokemon that is a threat to Scizor or Mew and in the end you should be 2 for 2 with Pokemon, sometimes 3 for the opponent if you played bad or were unlucky with Stealth Rock. This is when you sweep with Scizor and Mew is just a back up plan. If you manage to get 3 Sword Dance you can easily be 4 for 2. Regardless, this IS your real team. Scizor and Mew.
Mew @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Soft-Boiled
- Heal Bell
- Will-O-Wisp
- Knock Off
Ah Mew, the biggest troll of all. Unless the last Pokemons left are Fairy, Dark, Fire or some OP Ghost then Mew can practically sweep a team on its own. Mew's Synchronize is just masterful. Poison me poison yourself. Taunt is not ideal because this is a slow defensive Mew. And sometimes moves like Scald or Sludge Bomb will poison it and then it slowly dies after Soft Boiling and taking hits. Heal Bell is there for recovery and team support. Mew eats any attack and even 1 super effective one from a max attack Gengar.
SO MAKE SURE YOU KILL THOSE SCIZOR AND MEW THREATS EARLY OR SAVE WOBBUFFET OR SOMETHING TO DEAL WITH IT IN THE END.
Threats
Talonflame Lead:
Bravebird + Gale Wings = instant minus 1 Accelgor.
Ghosts:
Mainly Gengar, Aegislash. Poor Mew. Poor Smeargle. Useless Accelgor and Victini. 2 HKO to Wobbuffet.
Dark:
Useless Mew. 2 to 3 HKO'D. Forces bulked Scizor to use U-Turn. 2-3 HKO to Wobbuffet.
Fire:
Especially Heatran. Goodbye Scizor. Useless Will-O-Wisp.
Status Damagers, Fake Out users or Pranksters:
Weakens Final Gambit and breaks Focus Sash.
Entry Hazards:
If these are set up you have already lost unless you are very good, very lucky or your opponent is very stupid.
And there you have it, my Troll Team. Wins 7 out of 10 times but with your help I would like to make it 9/10.
Thank you.
