New UU Calls for a New OU Team! [RMT]

Well, I've been browsing the RMTs a lot lately, and two things bother me. 1) I see almost everyone begining with an Azelf or a Metagross lead, with one of three items, Occa Berry (Metagross), Shuca Berry (Metagross/Heatran), or Focus Sash (Azelf/Frosslass/Aerodactyl) so I've been wondering, "Is there and effective counter to that?" Almost all lead Pokemon go for SR first, so I thought, "Meh, time to stop this thing." This led me to my lead.
2) I've seen Gyarados and Scizor on almost every team. I know Gyarados is awesome from personal experience, and Scizor is very beastly late game, so that helped me with the rest of my team. Hope you enjoy.

All Changes are Underlined.

Lead/Tricker/Anti-Lead:

Wish (Jirachi) @ Choice Scarf

Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 80 HP/252 Atk/178 Spd

Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

- Trick
- Stealth Rock
- Iron Head
- Ice Punch

I needed a good lead that could screw up most of the other leads, the most common being Azelf, Metagross, Aerodactyl and Bronzong (Less common nowadays.) So then I looked through the RMTs and saw that most carry Berrys (Metagross and Heatran) and some carry Sashes (Aerodactyl and Azelf) while others carry Leftovers (Heatran and Swampert.) So I needed a Pokemon who could screw these leads up. One Pokemon came to mind Jirachi. I used Choice Scarf, so I can Trick it onto the common leads. It screws up their lead, and lets Gyarados scout the opponents team with Taunt and Dragon Dancing when needed. I'm running a Physical version, because now I can scout for Physical walls who will wall my Gyarados and Swampert. The Speed EVs are there so I can Trick over Ninjask Leads and screw them over. Ninjask's are almost always either Baton Pass teams, or to begin a Sub Sword Dance/Agility Sweep. Trick lets me screw them over, forcing them to switch, and later in the game, Ninjask will lose 50% HP on the switch.

Help Me With: EV spread. I suck at it, and any suggestions are welcome, although I'd like to keep those Speed EVs up there. I might add 4 more EVs, just to get that 100% chance to outspeed Ninjask. Even though, I used an EV calc, and I found out that I currently do outspeed it, one particular ninjask did outspeed me. So, I'm highly considering 4 more Speed EVs.

Atrocious (Gyarados) (M) @ Leftovers
leftovers.gif

Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 156 HP/110 Atk/100 Def/144 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Waterfall
- Taunt

Gyarados is amazing. I've seen many people use Gyarados, and it's truely a late game beast. Alongside Scizor, Gyarados faces the problem of getting statused. So I've moved from a DD Gyarados to a DD BulkyDos. This helps me withstand a plenthora of attacks, while still hitting back for good damage. The only problem with this EV spread and Taunt is that I don't really get much of a late game sweep. I use this to scout for Status and then switch to Blissey or Rotom H to absorb when possible, or DD late game to begin a sweep. Gyarados resists many Priority moves, namely Mach Punch, Vacume Wave, Bullet Punch, and Ice Shard (not resist, but weak damage.) While weakening three of those four on the switch thanks to Intimidate, I can still continue my terror.

Help Me With: A better EV spread and possibly changing movesets. I like preventing them from statusing, but I don't know if I should use EQ/Ice Fang over Taunt, although Taunt has been useful in a certain few matches.

Curser/Late Game Bulky Sweeper #2:

Mud Fish (Swampert) (M) @ Leftovers
leftovers.gif

Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/160 Def/98 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Curse
- Avalanche
- Waterfall

I've used Swampert many times before. But it lacks one thing, a good way to heal. Rather than focusing on that, I'm working on a way to begin a Late game Sweep. Once Celebi and other Toxic/Will-O-Wisp users are gone, I begin with Curse, then go into Waterfall, Avalanche, and EarthQuake. CursePert really is very bulky. Once I get a Curse in, something is really going to be sorry. Now that I replaced Roar, Baton Pass Teams are a problem, but if I can screw over the lead, it's most of the time GG.

Help Me With: EVs, I don't know if I should move the EVs from Def to SpD because I already have Curse to boost my Def.

Choice Item User/Powerhouse:

Heatran.png

Lava Dome (Heatran) (F) @ Choice Specs
adherence-glasses.png

Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 40 HP/216 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Overheat
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Heatran is a pain in the ass to kill if you don't have a bulky water or Blissey. This is the SpecsTran. With her high special attack, and having Specs to boost it to higher levels, Dragon Pulse will OHKO 0 HP/SpD Salamence and Dragonite, factoring in SR and without leftovers, while it also OHKOs Bulky Mence, it's still has a few problems. Speed being one of them, so I gave it 216 Speed EVs to ensure it's ability to outrun something. I was considering Choice Scarf, so I can stop Baton Pass teams, but I think Trick should do the trick. (No pun intended.)

Help Me With: This set gives me the damage, but I do have a lack of Speed. I've considered Scarf, but from previous uses, it doesn't give me the damage I need. If I do switch to Scarf, then I'll use this moveset: Overheat - Earth Power - Hidden Power Ice - Explosion with Naive, Choice Scarf, Modest, 6 Atk/252 Spd/252 SAtk

Status Dealer #1/Status Absorber:

rotomheat.png

Plasma (Rotom-h) @ Leftovers
leftovers.gif

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/6 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Will-o-wisp
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Discharge

Rotom is soon going to turn into another Blissey if everyone uses Will-O-Wisp and Rest and Sleep Talk. With this, I can heal myself and also screw over Physical attackers. I copied this set straight over from Rotom's Smogon Analysis. I was considering Thunderbolt over Discharge, for the extra damage. But I think the Paralysis rate should help my survivibility.

Help Me With: EV spread. I suck at it. This looks like a reliable EV spread, and it seems to work. I also need a little help with the whole Rest and Sleep Talk thing. I needed a reliable way to heal, and due to the fact that I have Wish on Blissey I might switch Rest and Sleep Talk and Discharge out for Shadow Ball, OverHeat and ThunderBolt. That gives me two reliable STAB, and good coverage. But if I do decide to use the new moveset, then I will be screwed over by Sand Storm Teams, because they negate Rotom-H and Blissey's Leftovers, making healing tremdously harder for Blissey.

Healer/Status Dealer #2/Psuendo Status Absorber:

blissey.png

Happiness (Blissey) (F) @ Leftovers
leftovers.gif

Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 Def/80 SAtk/178 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Wish
- Thunder Wave
- Softboiled

Blissey is a total fatass. Her HP is high as hell, and her SP. Def makes her useful on almost all teams. I'm using the classical WishBliss. I like how she can screw over many Pokemons on the switch as well as heal herself and her teammates. Softboiled was used over Protect because of the good arguement that is shown on the analysis, of how Tyranitar used Dragon Dance while Blissey protected. So healing quicker is much more useful to me than to Protect.

Help Me With: EVs. I'm not the EV man as I said before. I suck at finding good EV spreads for Pokemon. If you have any suggestions, I'm open for it.

So thank you guys for Rating My Team. I'll return all comments ASAP. Rate/Hate/Steal, whatever floats your boat is fine with me.

I can't see this team being that effective partly because it's not offensive enough to even think of breaking through stall (and even if you try to "overpredict" them, you're not going to be damaging them enough for the KO for the most part) nor is it defensive enough to "stall out" the opponent nor deal with a full offensive team who is likely to overwhelm your team.

I think it partly has to do with your mentality when you built your team - you tried too hard to "make this team deal with all the threats" and then forget everything else. But let's see what we can do here.

Considering Jirachi now gets the elemental punches, along with Iron Head/Zen Headbutt, I don't really see a reason for you to try using Psychic/HP Fire. Metagross isn't going to be that much of a problem considering you have Rotom H *and* Swampert, and the second you trick scarf on it, the chances are you have locked it on Earthquake or Stealth Rock anyway. Secondly, even if you choose not to Trick, Zen Headbutt/Iron Head can inflict some damage through flinching your opponent - and with a choice scarf you will likely go first before your opponent. I recommend you go with a physical Jirachi over your current set. I also recommend you run Ice Punch so you can try to revenge kill Salamence who seems to neuter your team pretty badly. In fact I would go with Stealth Rock/Iron Head/Ice Punch/Trick - or Zen Headbutt over Iron Head if you really want since psychic sucks as an offensive type.

Let's make that Heatran Spec'd, and make your first switch into Rotoms that are not washer form. You have Blissey to tank special hits anyway - and Blissey even has Wish to boot. I recommend you run the Choice Specs set on Heatran so you have a chance to 1) Screw over Rotoms who initially try to trick 2) Break through stall since Choice Specs Fire Blast/Flamethrower does considerable damage. I don't really see what you have to lose by adding this.

Let's fix that Swampert too. Celebi isn't going to care about Ice Beam from a Mixpert since Celebi can just recover damage all day and slap you with a Grass Knot anyway. Also, Celebi... doesn't Will O Wisp. You are much better just running a Cursepert set and try to sweep near the end with Cursepert - which seems to be a lot more effective than what you are trying to pull off now.

These are some very basic suggestions but I really recommend you really just try and play more and then try building a team again then.

That's true. I was trying very hard to get rid of threats, that I forgot the possibility of Baton Pass teams. I'll go with your suggestion and do: Stealth Rock/Iron Head/Ice Punch/Trick on Jirachi.
Heatran Specs with Overheat - Earth Power - HP Ice/HP Grass with Dragon Pulse - Lava Plume/Dragon Pulse/Fire Blast at Modest Chocie Specs, 40 HP / 252 SpA / 216 Spe Evs.
I've seen CursePert used a lot, and it seems to do people a lot of good, once Celebi/HP Grass Zapdos are out of the way. I'll use Leftovers, Careful, EQ, Avalance, Curse, Waterfall/Rest, 252 HP, 160 def, 96 SpD. I need help with the 2nd and 3rd moves on Heatran and filler on Swampert.
