I've been looking for a legend (not a myth), and it's Gabite and its gifts! After a Scale Shot, it outruns faster threats like Frogadier, Drakloak, and Raboot. Gabite's Speed, stats, and typing force out top entry hazard setters like Tinkatuff and Glimmet and attackers like Monferno and Fraxure, making it an excellent Stealth Rock setter. After a Swords Dance, Gabite can overwhelm would-be checks like Quaxwell and Ivysaur. Faster revenge killers like Frogadier and Girafarig can put Gabite into the ground before it can attack; Tinkatuff can provide a defensive backbone to these threats while providing Thunder Wave and Knock Off support. Piloswine is its greatest offensive check, taking attacks with grace and firing back with powerful Ice-type STAB moves; Quaxwell and Fletchinder have the recovery and utility to force it out. Special wallbreakers like Girafarig and Hisuian Sliggoo collaborate with Gabite to overwhelm defensive titans like Dusclops and Dunsparce.

Gabite lacks the immediate power to blast through Water- and Grass-types like Quaxwell and Thwackey (i would say someone like dusclops or dunsparce because of what i said below or maybe just say seadra); Grass- and Poison-types like Servine and Koffing make great partners. Faster revenge killers like Frogadier and Girafarig can put Gabite into the ground before it can attack; Tinkatuff can provide a defensive backbone to these threats while providing Thunder Wave and Knock Off support. Piloswine is its greatest offensive check, taking attacks with grace and firing back with powerful Ice STAB moves; Quaxwell and Fletchinder have the recovery and utility to force it out (the point of SD is to overpower and get through quax which it does 2hko w eq after an SD unless quax has taxel. SD needs to be mentioned somewhere here since it's not touched on at all). Special breakers like Girafarig and Duosion (i wouldnt call duosion a breaker, it's double dance set is just an endgame sweeper. i would mention wart, hisuian sliggoo, or drak instead) collaborate with Gabite to overwhelm defensive cores.
