No Drizzle No Problem....1509Ladder points

OK...politoed has been recently banned in po, not smogon...but even so i cant stand people that bitch about the drizzle/swift swim combo.

So I decided to banned politoed from my team...so when i beat people they cant call me a weather noob...I dont even like the dumb frog.

One mon I refuse to take of the team however, is the one worthy of calling himself Posiedon of the pokemon world...KINGDRA!

Ok so if you havent figured it out already, this team is built around setting up a sweep for kingdra.

So lets take a look at the team

Theres the team....i hope these damn pix show

OVERVIEW of team synergy.

Dragonite is a heck of a wallbreaker and i needed one...

Next. I needed rock support and a mon to cover nites weaknesses...also keeping things on the offensive for me...so bronzong and skarm are out of the question...Thats where jirachi comes in.

With Rocks i need a spin blocker...and being offensive minded...who better than gengar...three immunities are nothing to overlook.

Ok the frontline has been established now the Closers

Thundurus is there to change the weather from either sun or sandstrom ..Hail?...as he is cabable of killing other toeds...t-tar...or ninetales...Obamasnow

Now this is built around kingdra, and scizor is the best partner for him.Scouting and revenge killing all around the metagame

Once rain is up Kingdra abuses everything, not named ferrothorn, blissey which i usually seek and destroy long before kingdra makes his abusive appearance.

THE LEAD

149.gif

Dragonite@Life Orb
Trait: Inner Focus
EV's: 252atk/252Spatk/4spdef
Nature: Naughty

-Draco Meteor
-Fire Blast
-Superpower
-extremespeed

This guy is usually my lead..His ev's are set to make him the best wallbreaker...
His ability inner focus comes along with the move superpower and life orb makes multi-scale useless. My dragonite has killed more t-tars than anyone else on my team..most people suspect multi-scale (an abilitly that cant be learnt with superpower) and keep their tars in their in thinking they could get a free stone edge KO....Nite is almost always faster than the tyranitars running around, because of the sole reason of weather...the slower the pokemon,,their weather will prevail..so most people run a defesive set...Inner focus is also useful against the fake out users.
Naughty nature is there so as to not take away from his attacks, while taking its attack to monstrous heights.
dracometeor is a strong STAB that wrecks a lot of defensive walls that switch in on nite...fireblast work well alongside DM for the likes of ferro and skarm.
Superpower has gotten its descriptions already, as almost every team lead with tyrantar...its a sad sad thing to see the metagame being runned with nothing but weather teams...and extremspeed gives me a revenge killer a good one at that as well.

Rocker

385.gif

Jirachi@leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EV's: 252HP/224Spdef/32spe
Nature: Careful

-Iron Head
-Wish
-Thunderwave
-Stealth Rock

I needed a mon to set rocks up without loosing momentum. Suicide leads are a waste of a slot leaving the opponent with a one more teamate advantage....stealth rocks isnt worth a slot for me....swampert, skarm, blissey and other defensive pokes that have rocks just dont fit on my team. Jirachi is the best mon that works for me so far...its the only area of improvement i need on my team, and really is the only reason for this rmt.it has done wonders for me but still i need something more.

Its ev spread allows it to take dracometeors like nothing...before i had him on my team and a latios would switch in, i was like ok which one of my pokemon do i want to die, and then revenge...rachi is an insurance against that.even though its defensive i find it to be on the attack thunderwaving and haxing to death.

Careful is to boost it special defense

Iron head takes advantage of serene grace and of thuderwave paralysis...Wish is recovery for not only rachi, but my team, although i rarely find time to pass it but its handy. Thunderwave over body slam because i need the guaranteed paralysis and i have ways of dealing with ground pokes...also i'm traditional, my rachi in my real game cant learn body slam cuz its from fourth gen, and body slam is from a third gen tutor.I dont like to play with something i cant get in the real game, without hacking. And SR to round it off...

Spin Blocker

Gengar@black sludge
Trait: Levitate
EV's: 252Spatk/252Speed/4HP
Nature: Timid

-Shadow Ball
-Focus Blast
-Substitue
-Disable

This Gengar is a beast. I got logs and logs of him stopping sweeps or sweeping himself. I somehow find this gengar to be bulky as hell..it stays in the game long, subing, disabling, and firing off attacks on the switch.i had this set in DPP even when disable was 80 accuracy, it was that good.

Black sludge helps gar recover after subing, pretty much self explanatory

His Ev's are max in speed and sp atk as its the only way to ev gengar

Shadow ball is obligatory stab, paired with focus blast gives it perfect coverage for everything...though focus blast accuracy is a pain in the ass.still it hits 70% of the time and is very useul...gengar should be able to learn aura sphere...that would be tight.....sub and disable is what keeps gengar alive for so long...sub lets gengar scout for moves...opponent usually use a STAB or super effective move, then gengar disables...it pretty hilarious when the opponent is choiced into something...I love this gengar, and he wittles down opponents to death or to low hp, setting up kingdra for the late game sweep.

Weather Changer

642.gif

Thundurus@Damp Rock
Trait:Prankster
EV's: 252Spatk/252Spe/4HP
Nature: Timid

Thunder
Focus Blast
Taunt
Rain Dance

I originally had thundurus to kill t-tar and change weather, but my fronline do a good job of that.

Damp Rock as its description says, prolongs the effect of rain dance..for kingdra

EV's are for max speed and max sp atk

Thunder has a nice paralysis rate, to help out rachi, and 100% acc in rain. i originally had hammer arm, but found that even with the accuracy problems, its better than hammer arm.taunt stops sweepers dead to the point of switching.and priority rain dance, believe it or not cripples excadrill, its like i paralizd him. sometimes its one on one with ex, but regardless of his sand rush speed i get priority rain dance.

Offensive core

Scizor@choice band
Trait: Technician
EV's: 252HP/252Atk/4spdef
Nature: Adamant

-Bullet Punch
-U-turn
-Superpower
-Pursuit

Needs no introduction, i have him only on my team for kingdra.both of them do work, serious work. Scizor is the glue to my team, he holds everything together, scouting and revenging for my teamate, particularly kingdra.

Ev are there for scizor to survive hits, and hit hard n run.

Technician is the only ability viable on scizor

Bullet punch for revenge killing, u-turn to scout, super power for heatran switch ins and pursuit for those who i kno will run, like blissey and latios's.

Kingdra@Life Orb
Trait: Swift Swim
Ev's: 252Sp atk/252 spe/4hp
Nature: Modest

-Hydro Pump
-Draco Meteor
-Ice Beam
-Rain Dance

Star of the team. The only two pokes that i find stopping his swip are ferrothornintheass and blissey.i have scizor to pursuit blissey and rest of the team(except rachi) for ferro. I love kingdra, its stats are modest, almost mediocre and yet people are crying over it.like a bunch of bitches...PO had it banned and thats how i became a fan of smogon

Life orb is the closest thing to specs and the power is much needed

Swift swim is what makes kingdra, though if kingdra learned frosth breath, sniper would be gimmicky but workable, maybe?

Ev's allow kingdra to get the most out rain.

Hydropump in rain, factoring STAB and life orb OHKO a lot u wouldnt think it would. 2HKO much more. Draco meteor gives kingdra almost unresisted type coverage.I have ice beam there so kingdra doesnt preejaculate against chomp dragonites, mences, and for dragons...i also use it to avoid hax...like i said kingdra is a late game sweeper so hpump and dmeteors misses are unaccepteble. ice beam takes that away when an opponent is low on hp

So there is the team...i got tons of logs of it raping the shit out of other teams, reaching a peak 1509, before hax eventually took away 40 of those points in a game. Gives me your comments

NICE. 1509...still higher than me...

1. Ice Beam on Kingdra seems a tad redundant...Even if your luck is that bad. HP Electric would probably work better.
2. Consider Thunder>Thunder Wave on Rachi. Serene Grace = 60% chance of Paralysis, so that could work nicely.

Other than that, it looks very nice.

Very nice team ! I run a similar team more based on rain dance with the broken trio and i use Dugtrio and Espeon to kill opposite weather and setup rain. They have a good sinergy.
The idea to use Thundurus is good and i wanna try it to my own. With drizzle team so common, this team have good chance to sweeps without the use of rain dance.
Kingdra can run hp electric for things like gyara or hidden power fight for coverage.

thunder would be the same like body slam to me...everyone keeps telling me about hp electic on kingdra though, thats a nice suggestion, as i have no electric moves on my team, besides thunderwave.

@Ewil yea its a nice strategy...the opponent isnt afraid to lose their weather mon , because they see non on mine...the BAM!! thundurus with priority rain dance to fuck everyone up..i will try hp electric, also try to see if hp fighting would do real damage to ferrothorn.

Can it be...that team that has frustrated me the most? It is!!!!

I remember facing you man and I gotta say, very impressive team. Right when I saw thunderus and kingdra paired up I was like oh shit lol.

Have you considered Heatran instead of jirachi? Hes got amazing sp def to take those draco meteors and he can set up rocks as well.
