Introduction: The OU metagame is full of insanely strong attackers that often just need to use their STABs to demolish opposing pokemon, as well as defensive threats that rely on their same-type support moves to do the job efficiently. What would happen if they couldn't use them? Let's find out! In this tournament a pokemon cannot run moves that share its type, both damaging moves and status moves.
Specific rules:
- Matches are to be played in the standard ORAS OU format best of one.
- You are not allowed to run moves (both damaging and status) that share the type with the pokemon that uses them (Example: Keldeo can't use hydro pump; ferrothorn is not allowed to have leech seed); this applies also to moves such as hidden power and natural gift.
- To avoid misunderstandings with the rules, all thoseirrelevant moves/abilities that change the type of a move/pokemon are banned (protean, color change, reflect type, soak, camouflage, electrify, normalize, conversion, conversion2, ion deluge, forest's curse, trick-or-treat and probably others)
- For the pokemon with the abilities aerilate, refrigerate and pixilate normal damaging moves are banned.
- pokemon that change typing when they mega evolve are allowed to use moves that receive STAB boost when used by the other form but not if they use it (i probably explained that terribly, for example gyarados can use crunch before mega evolving and bounce only after mega evolving)
- using one of the banned moves will result in an instant forfeit.

- Endless Battle Clause: Players cannot use any moveset on any Pokémon capable of intentionally causing an endless battle. Thus:
- A Pokémon may not carry Recycle and hold a Leppa Berry in conjunction with Heal Pulse andMilk Drink, Moonlight, Morning Sun, Recover, Roost, Slack Off,Soft-Boiled, or Wish.
- A Pokémon may not hold a Leppa Berry while carrying Recycle and Pain Split.
- A Pokémon may not hold a Leppa Berry while carrying Recycle and Fling.
- Evasion Clause: Players cannot use the moves Double Team or or Minimize.
- Moody Clause: Players cannot use a Pokémon with the Moody ability.
- OHKO Clause: Players cannot use the moves Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill, or Sheer Cold.
- Sleep Clause: Players cannot induce sleep to more than one Pokémon on the opposing team at the same time.
- Species Clause: Players cannot have two Pokémon with the same Pokédex number on the same team.
- Swagger Clause: Players cannot use the move Swagger.
