[SET COMMENTS]
Noivern serves as a potent wallbreaker and revenge killer thanks to its absurdly powerful Aerilate-boosted Boomburst and great speed tier. An excellent utility movepool means that players must be wary of Noivern's ability to cripple walls with Switcheroo or pivot out with U-turn. Additionally, an excellent support movepool with moves such as Taunt and Defog allow it to provide utility in addition to dealing damage. An excellent base speed of 123 leaves Noivern only outsped by Choice Scarf users and a handfull of faster Pokemon like Weavile and Tapu Koko. However, a severe Stealth Rock weakness limits the amount of times Noivern can switch in, and using Heavy-Duty Boots causes a noticeable drop in damage output. Additionally, Noivern is vulnerable to priority moves like Ice Shard and Triage Draining Kiss, the threat of which often forces it out. Boomburst is Noivern's best move, and is capable of OHKOing nearly every offensive Pokemon and 2HKOing bulky Pokemon without a Flying resistance. U-turn allows Noivern to pivot out to a teammate, which is useful for allowing teammates to deal with Boomburst switch-ins. Taunt and Defog provide utility by impairing passive Pokemon or removing hazards, respectively. Switcheroo lets Noivern cripple a wall by giving it Choice Specs, which can be incredibly useful in longer games. Super Fang is an option that allows Noivern to deal heavy damage to Pokemon like Chansey and Celesteela, who take much less from Boomburst. Flamethrower can be used to deal more damage to Steel types like Corviknight and Ferrothorn, but users must be wary of Flash Fire on these Pokemon. Roost is an option to extend Noivern's longevity, and helps offset the damage from switching into Stealth Rock. Noivern's EVs maximize its Speed and Special Attack stats, both of which are important to its wallbreaking and revenge killing playstyle.

Noivern is relatively fragile and appreciates teammates that can bring it in safely. Teleport users, like Blissey and Mew, excel at this role while also acting as great checks to threats like Togekiss and Mamoswine. Slow pivots, like Swampert and Silvally-Electric, fulfill a similar role, while also providing additional utility. A significant portion of Boomburst switch-ins are Steel-types, which means that Magnet Pull users like Rotom-Heat and Volcanion can trap and remove them. Entry Hazard support, like Spikes and Stealth Rock, can help Noivern wear down and eventually break through checks like Heatran and Silvally-Electric.

Other Options
===================

Both Choice Scarf and Heavy-Duty Boots are viable options on Noivern, but heavily decrease its damage output. Choice Scarf allows Noivern to outspeed and revenge kill every Pokemon in the metagame, but makes wallbreaking much harder. Heavy-Duty Boots greatly extend Noivern's longevity at the cost of power; sets using them focus on Noivern's utility and can make great stallbreakers.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Priority**: Noivern's frailty and weakness to Stealth Rocks means that it is prone to being revenge killed by Priority moves like Ice Shard and Triage Draining Kiss.

**Fast Revenge Killers**: Faster Pokemon like Tapu Koko, Weavile, and Talonflame are able to easily revenge kill Noivern, while Choice Scarf users like Genesect and Gengar can do the same.

**Silvally**: Assault Vest Silvally-Electric and Silvally-Steel takes little damage from Boomburst or Flamethrower, and can pivot out on Noivern while healing themselves with Regenerator.
