Non weather team

Sableye (M) @ Iron Ball
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Recover
- Trick
- Will-O-Wisp
- Taunt

My go to lead this thing is so annoying. Basically I'll either taunt or will-o-wisp their lead. Iron ball and trick is to troll things like skarmory and evo users. This is probably the best lead in the game in my opinion,. The only thing that can consistently beat it are magic guard users and espeon. If I do run into espeon I'll usually just trick it an iron ball to make sure landorus is faster and then u-turn into heatran which can take anything most espeons can do. Hp fighting does around 15-20% on heatran.

Gengar (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Disable
- Shadow Ball
- Pain Split
- Substitute

This pokemon alone has netted me so many rage quits. Basically come in on a choiced immunity and setup sub then proceed to troll the opponent. Not sure if I should run focus blast over pain split. I really like pain split as it allows gengar to stay fairly healthy. This is also my go to counter to be conkeldurr. As they usually only have payback to hit me I just have to predict a drain punch or mach punch and I can switch in. Then I get a free sub on whatever they switch in. Gengar also covers heatran perfectly whicch is incredibly helpful as heatran is my only wall.

couldn't find an animated one :/
Rotom-W @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 112 HP / 252 SAtk / 144 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
- Hydro Pump

Standard rotom is standard but obviously it's very effective. Volt switch is the main move I use, will-o-wisp is for ferrothorns that want to switch in for free. Hydro pump is my stab attack and when up against rain teams its incredibly powerful. pain split allows me to stall things like burned ferrothorn or gastrodons that either lack toxic or already burned rotom with scald. Although admittedly I can't to much back. but that's where virizion comes in.

Virizion @ Leftovers
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Giga Drain
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]

This is the pokemon I'm most unsure about. She is so much help against rain in general but sometimes I feel like she can be dead weight. I was thinking about switching her for nasty plot celebi as its not crippled by status. This however my greates check against the annoying water ground types. Basically switch in on a scald and then calm mind as they switch out. The only thing I have to worry about is when gastrodon has toxic. Or when they have a blissey but even then virizion can beat blissey after calm minding up and blissey can't do much back except for toxic if they carry it but then they get trolled by gengar.

Landorus (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sand Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Naive Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
- Hidden Power [Ice]

This set is so much fun and coupled with rotom it can be incredibly annoying to deal with. Basically I just u-turn spam until my opponents pokemon get fairly weak then I attempt to sweep with the appropriate move. I don't know how many teams I have swept with just choiced earhquake alone. Obviously hp ice is to hit gliscor attempting to come in on earthquake.

Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Roar
- Toxic

This is basically my only wall. Because I have a couple of will-o-wispers I haven't had too much trouble with physical attackers except when it misses >.> this also my main check for Drought teams and calm mind latias. This is also one of my answers to bulky waters. admittedly that might be a bit weird but I've found that he can tank some scalds out of rain and hit them with toxic to cripple them for the rest of the game.

For the most part I feel that this team has lots of synergy. It's probably the best team I have made so far and I have so much fun playing with this team. Any insights or criticism would really be helpful as I'm always trying to get better.

You're only physical attacker is landorus, and you say you're not sure about virizon, you could try a less predictable set on virizon:

virizon@leftovers
Justified, naive/jolly nature
252spe/252atk/4hp
-swords dance
-close combat
-leaf blade
-hidden power ice/stone edge

This could help you in the following ways... 1) you have another physical attacker. 2) it won't die as much when focus miss is being an arse. 3) it loves coming in on water types like politoed and rotom-w which your current one does anyway, but gets a free swords dance, once they see that, if they send in gliscor you can kill with HP ice. < This is far less predictable than the ever increasingly common HP ice on landorus; they would see it coming and switch out if they are a good player.

Since virizon could have HP ice, you could take it off landorus and change it to a rock polish set? although i guess it wouldn't work as well in conjuction with u-turning and volt-switching with rotom.

Also: you have no weather, if you come across a rain team, you might as well go in with 5 pokemon cause heatran will become useless especially with this set, i don't understand having roar and no hazards.. That heatran set blows IMO.

If you decide to take scarf of landorus you could plonk it on heatran with overheat, earth power, hidden power (grass), dragon pulse it gives you a little surprise factor and IMO is the best set to have on heatran...

However if you want to keep the scarf set change heatran, you have no weather so probably don't like it and will probably hate me for suggesting tyranitar but it "walls" much better than your heatran... your heatran is basically doing nothing. The sandstorm will aslo give your landorus the well recieved boost from sand force that it needs.

But... I love trick and iron ball on sableye in conjunction with landorus and earthquake. tricking iron ball on to skarmory is genius, i would probably forget it happened if you do it early game lol, so i like that.

PS you might want to expand your descriptions... they get pissy else.

Hey there.

The offensive combination of Rotom-W + Scizor can cause major problems for your team since no pokemon you have can defeat both of them; this problem becomes even larger due to your lack of a rapid spinner. Powerful water attacks from the likes of Choice Specs Politoed and Rotom-W can also trouble you seeing as how Virizion will be worn down quite easily. Enemy Calm Mind Virizion can also cause problems as well.

The resistances that Virizion provides and the pokemon it can beat can, in most cases, be defeat by a Calm Mind Latias as well. By running Latias over Virizion, you can take on water types much more easily due to a Spikes immunity and access to a recovery move; the Rotom-W + Scizor combination can also be defeated quite easily.

CM Latias

Latias @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Recover
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Dragon Pulse

Hidden Power Fire lets Latias decimate enemy Scizor that try and come in after a Calm Mind / prior damage from either attacks or entry hazards. Latias can also defeat Nasty Plot Celebi and CM Virizion quite easily as well, and provides you with a check against sun teams in case Heatran goes down.

I suggest running a Naive nature on Landorus, as this will let Landorus outspeed pokemon such as +1 Timid Volcarona and Adamant Scarf Terrakion.

Also, entry hazards are crucial for almost any team, so I suggest running Stealth Rock over Earth Power on Heatran. Earth Power really isn't too useful on specially defensive Heatran regardless. I also suggest that you run Protect over Roar. Protect is almost vital for specially defensive Heatran because it allows it to net an extra turn of Leftovers recovery, and also lets it scout against pokemon such as Choice Scarf Rotom-W and Choice Specs Latios.

Finally, change Sableye's EV Spread to 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef with a Bold Nature. The special side of the spectrum is covered pretty well by the rest of your team, so running a defensive Sableye will greatly benefit you. It will allow you to take hits from physical attackers such as Gyarados and Dragonite much more easily.

Nice team. Hope I helped, and good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'm going to change my heatran to a tyranitar and I really like the latias idea. Also I meant to put naive nature for landorus otherwise he can't outspeed +1 volcarona
