Nostalgia Critic/AVGN

I've seen almost all of the AVGN episodes and honestly, it was funny at the beginning, but it's getting a little dry by now.

He's been beating the whole "herp derp mixed profanities" horse long after it's dead.

I appreciate the gameplay he shows though, always enjoy that.

I agree 100% with the unneccesary profanity, I mean using it to describe something is awful is fine, but when he has like 2 minute tirades it gets old

Check out www.spoonyexperiment.com, part of the guy with glasse. One of my favourite video game reviewers, I think he was with AVGN when they did the whole reviewers vs gamers fight thing

He also does movie reviews

also this:

Maybe because I had a different sense of humour when I watched the earlier ones 1-2 years ago, but the newer ones are very dry now. I watched them on gametrailers.com with screw attack

Thanks for letting me know about nostalgia critic. Hadn't seen that one. I've literally watched every episode of AVGN. Yeah, his profanity just gets annoying after a while, and his little skits are cheezy, but he gives the most in depth reviews of classic games out there.

Yeah I've watched every episode of AVGN, and yeah his tirades were sometimes annoying but he seems to have calmed down in recent episodes

I'm a huge AVGN fan and used to check out his site every time a new month hit until he announced he would be working on the movie. It's hard to live up to the classic episodes exactly because back then they were classic and new. But still, his vids are a lot of fun to watch, some more than others. I especially liked it when he revisited some old videos. Some of my favourite episodes are the ones about Ghostbusters, Terminator, Bible Games, and the first Bugs Bunny one.

Never really got into Nostalgia critic, but I really like 5secondmovies.

Absolutely hate ZeroPunctuation, probably because I'm a foreigner since it's already fucking hard to understand wtf he's saying I hardly have time to comprehend how it's funny.

I'm a huge fan of AVGN & Nostalgia (i've watched about episode from both reviewers) and I also like Spoony's reviews (his Final Fantasy VIII & X reviews are amazing)

I never liked ZP, I just don't like his style of reviewing games.

I've seen just about every AVGN--I actually find myself quoting it a lot. Bible Games and Friday the 13th are probably my favorites. I agree there has been a slight decline in quality in the more recent videos, but Rolfe's older material still cracks me up. His somewhat recent review of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show DVD menu was great. I'll be interested to see if his movie ever comes to fruition, as it supposedly contains a review of the famous E.T. game.

nostalgia critic is terribly unfunny

that dude who did the hour+ long star wars reviews does this shit way better. at least for this one. he usually brings up good points but he kinda started wearing out his gimmick in the next one.

I loved AVGN before, I spend whole nights with my girlfriend watching his episodes, but now I think he lost it, he's not the same, he doesn't even get angry anymore, he just say random curses without feeling.

At first I hated the Nostalgia Critic, his jokes were stupid, predictable, he ALWAYS overreact, he DOESN'T have a good neutral point of view (saying that Batman and Robin is the worst movie ever?, really?, is bad, but is not the worst!, and in his top 11 nostalgic animated shows Batman was #2, wtf man?, we get it, you love Batman, but don't let your fanaticism blind you!) and always is saying the same things, the way he moves his head, the same cliches, he takes everything very literal, but now I kind of like it, his reviews are ok and he put a lot of effort into them, you can clearly see that he enjoy doing them, and that's something most reviewers lack, and something that the Nerd lose.
