Not a PONY team a PO NU team

Monferno @ Quick Claw
Trait:Blaze
EVs:252 Atk/ 252 Spe/ 4 Hp
Nature:Jolly

~Stealth Rock
~Taunt
~Dual Chop
~Close Combat

Monferno is my almost guaranteed lead and because he is not used that often teams don't usually know what to expect. He is fast enough to at least get up a layer of hazards with Stealth Rocks or he has the option to Taunt to prevent the opponent from doing the same to me, which is vital considering I do not have a rapid spinner. If still alive then I have a choice between STAB Close Combat or Dual Chop. Close Combat is there because most hazard leads have a weakness to it and Dual Chop because it hits every thing else neutrally. I considered fake-out, but considering he usually only comes in once or twice a game it seemed like a waste of a move-slot. So far he has been effective

Torterra @ Leftovers
Trait:Overgrow
EVs:252 Hp/ 252 Def/ 4 Atk
Nature:Impish

~Wood Hammer
~Earthquake
~Synthesis
~Leech Seed

Torterra is my tank and with an impressive 95/105/85 defenses he can take a lot of hits not only from physical attacks but special as well. His positives don't stop there. His two STAB in Wood Hammer and Earthquake hit hard and cover a wide spectrum, and if that isn't what needed then he has the ability to stall out the opponent with leech seed and synthesis. His typing allows immunity to electricity and turns many of his weaknesses into neutrals. Although this does have a downside in the fact that it turns a few of his resistances into neutrals as well. His typing has only a few weaknesses in flying, fire, bug, and a quadruple weakness to ice. Luckily Lapras can take attacks of all those types.

Skuntank @ Black Sludge
Trait:Aftermath
EVs:252 Atk/ 220 Spd/ 36 spe
Nature:Adamant

~Taunt
~Pursuit
~Sucker Punch
~Poison Jab

This Skuntank set is straight out of Smogon. It is labeled as a Bulky Attacker but so far Skuntant has been useful to me when I keep an open mind to what he can do. I have used him both as an bulky attacker and a special wall at times and have found both to be effective. As a revenge killer he is effective because of the Stealth Rock damage that accumulates and the power of both his STAB moves. The main reason I chose him is because his bulkiness and move-sets allow versatility. He also has amazing typing with only a weakness to ground and an immunity to psychic. He also goes great with Misdreavus because they both cover each others weaknesses.

Misdreavus @ Eviolite
Trait:Levitate
EVs:252 Hp/ 252 Def/4 Spe
Nature:Bold

~Will-O-Wisp
~Shadow Ball
~Pain Split
~Heal Bell

Another versatile Pokemon whose main purposes going in order of importance is cleric, physical wall, staller. She is an effective physical wall already but the Will-O-Wisp helps this even further and gives residual damage added on to the Stealth Rocks. I chose her for a few reasons. 1. She has immunity to normal, fighting, and ground 2. She perfectly compliments Skuntank 3. She is versatile 4. Most importantly she carries Heal Bell which is useful because my team is fairly crippled by status.

Lapras @ Leftovers
Trait:Water Absorb
EVs:252 Hp/ 252 Spd/ 4 Spa
Nature:Calm

~Surf/Hydro Pump
~Thunderbolt
~Ice Beam
~Roar

Mainly my special wall Lapras can also be considered my special sweeper. She carries roar to deal with tough matchups and has wide coverage with her moves. Although not as good of a pair as Skuntank and Misdreavus her and Torterra cover each others weaknesses decently. She has solid defences and has enough power even with minimal investment that she is able to bag at least a KO a game.

Sawk @ Choice Band
Trait:Mold Breaker
EVs:252 Atk/ 252 Spe/4 Def
Nature:Adamant

~Close Combat
~Ice Punch
~Earthquake
~Stone Edge

Sawk is obviously my physical sweeper. Of all my Pokemon he is my most replaceable in my opinion. Although he can hit extremely hard I do not appreciate his frailty and lack of versatility. Any suggestions for a physical sweeper would be greatly appreciated. The reason I chose him is because I have had experience with him in the past and knew he was decent enough to get the job done in some situations.

Problems: This team is a bit slow and has a weakness to flying if Lapras dies

Thank you for your help.

Hey. Nice team you got going here. I do have a few suggestions though.

First, give Monferno a Focus Sash, guaranteeing that it gets SR up. Also, replace Dual Chop with Shadow Claw for perfect neutral coverage and to do good damage to the Ghost/Psychic types who'll try to switch in on you. Next, since you've already acknowledged your Flying weakness, let's see the pokes who are weak to Flying: Monferno, Sawk, and Torterra. Amongst these you seem to care the least for Sawk and rightfully so, since Monferno is a suicide lead anyways and Torterra is part of a core. I'd recommend a Choice Specsed Rotom-F/S, the choice between the two is yours. Now to remedy your Speed issues, I recommend using a Choice Scarfed Zweillous instead of Skuntank. Or you may want to consider scarfing whichever Rotom form you choose and using a banded Absol.

I like the rotom and I have decided to use a rotom-f with choice scarf. I am also now using shadow claw. As far as skuntank I think I'll keep him over zweilous because of his synergy with misdreavus and his versatality and trapping abilities. But I do have a question. Do you know any pokemon who complement torterra better? Because with one solid ice type I do not need another but would still like a water type who could absorb the super effective hits aimed at torterra. Do you think that caracosta as a tank is a viable option?

Hey. I think this team looks pretty solid, except that I have a few small suggestions.

Firstly, as most SR leads have Sturdy, I recommend giving Monferno Vacuum Wave over Shadow Claw/Dual Chop. This is so that Monferno can nab you a few important KOs and prevent the SR leads from setting up rocks again later after you Taunt them. Vacuum Wave over Mach Punch because you hit them on their weaker special side, and the only important coverage you miss out on is Golurk, who is destroyed by Lapras and Torterra anyway.

Next, I suggest running Rock Polish Torterra with a set of Wood Hammer / Earthquake / Stone Edge / Rock Polish. With Sawk being replaced, you will need a physical sweeper in his place. Torterra also has enough bulk to tank some hits (and you have Lapras and Misdreavus to wall anyway). This set forms the EdgeQuake combo along with the powerful Wood Hammer, and also Rock Polish to brush up on Torterra's speed issues.

Lastly, I suggest keeping Lapras and replacing Rotom-Frost with Scarf Rotom-Fan. This is because Rotom-S has better dual STABs in Flying- and Electric, which allows you to revenge the Flying-types easily, as well as hitting Ludicolo far more reliably and harder with Air Slash compared to Blizzard.

That's my rate, you could feel free to ignore my suggestions since I'm not all that professional, but well. My opinion :)
