Ok, so about a month and a half ago I was like "omg I'm done with pokemon. This shit is gay." Then my life got a hell of a lot better. I got invited to Europe, I got my own Oboe, I got a girlfriend, etc. And then my girlfriend tells me she's gonna be gone all of July. So I'm like "fuck. What am I gonna do with all that time?" So I picked pokemon back up. I made this team a few days ago with a bit of help from a friend. It's been doing pretty well, but I'm stuck between around 1275 and 1325. I know for some of you, that's easy. But remember, I haven't played in some time.

Yay standard team.
K so here it is.
Lucario@Life Orb
Jolly 4HP-252Atk-252Speed
Ice Punch
Crunch
Close Combat
Extremespeed
I pretty much took the Swords Dance set and took out Swords Dance and replaced it with Ice Punch for dem Gliscors. ANYWAY. The reason this Lucario is on the team is because I asked AB2 what was good in the metagame right now, and he listed off a bunch of stuff. Then he listed off a few anti-metagame pokes, and Lucario jumped out at me. So I decided to use it as my "lead" because it does do some heavy damage if not OKHO most "leads" and some of the most common things out there. (Tyranitar, Ferrothorn, Gliscor, etc.) It usually gets 1-2 pokes a game by itself. Unless I make a bad move or leave it in on something like Terakion. Yeah. Bad idea.
Latios@Choice Specs
Timid 4HP-252Sp.Atk-252Speed
Draco Meteor
Surf
HP Fire
Psyshock
Yay Latios. It can dish out a lot of damage. But then it has Specs so the opponent can just bring in Scizor or Ttar and fuck you over with Pursuit, OR they bring in something that walls whatever move you just used, and you have to switch out. FUCK. But yeah, this set is standard and I went with Specs because Excadrill already covers the speed portion that would've been covered with Scarf. Psyshock is there because of the pure power it gets. 2HKO Blissey and shit. HOLY FUCK. But yeah, Yay Latios!
Rotom-W@Leftovers
Modest 112HP-252Sp.Atk-144Speed
Thunderbolt
Hydro Pump
Will-O-Wisp
Pain Split
It's a washing machine. And it can set you on fire. Anyway, this thing gets me through quite a bit, especially when I'm in a pickle. This thing is like Pickle-Be-Gone. Mostly. Hydro Pump is a bit limited with its accuracy and its whole 8PP. But whatever. And honestly, I picked this set because it looked the most badass. NOT GONNA LIE. Thunderbolt/Hydro Pump has very nice coverage. AND IT'S EVEN BETTER BECAUSE IT'S STAB AS WELL. Pain Split is a nice instant-recovery ish thing. Because it's an attack of sorts. BUT THEN IT'S NOT.
Tyranitar@Leftovers
Careful 252HP-6Atk-252Sp.Def
Stealth Rock
Pursuit
Crunch
Superpower
This thing takes hits like a boss. Well. Special hits. And then most of the time it just dishes out a shit load more damage. But sometimes not. I use Tyranitar to set up rocks, and then absorb whatever special attacks that Rotom can't. I really should replace Crunch with like Earthquake or Stone Edge, but I've been too lazy to. Or too forgetful. Superpower hasn't done much because Ttar is too slow to dish out a good Superpower. Unless I get it on the switch. Then yeah, it deals a lot of damage.
Excadrill@Air Balloon
Jolly 4HP-252Atk-252Speed
Swords Dance
Earthquake
Rock Slide
X-Scissor
Yay for things that are like they're scarfed, but they aren't scarfed. And have more speed than scarfed things. WOO. I usually don't get the Swords Dance off because I'm worrying about other things. So Exca doesn't really do its job some of the time. But it's not Exca's fault. It's my fault. BUT ANYWAY. I get wonderful Ground/Rock coverage with EQ and Rock Slide. And Rock Slide is very nice with the occasional Flinch. And then for the last slot, I had a choice between Return and X-Scissor, I opted for the one that would get more supereffective hits on things. And it has done marvelously with that. I don't like Return anyway. Screw Return. It's lame and a dumb normal move.
Skarmory@Shed Shell
Impish 252HP-232Def-24Speed
Roost
Brave Bird
Whirlwind
Spikes
At first I presented this team to AB2 with all of the above, but with Ferrothorn instead of Skarmory. And he said "omg u totes need a exca check" and since I hadn't battled in like 2 months, I didn't know what checked Excadrill. So he just told me to put Skarm in Ferrothorn's place. And I'm glad. Skarm is wonderful. Brave Bird and Roost together is like Strawberries and whipped cream. Brave Bird is the whipped cream, it's delicious, but is fattening and shortens your life, but then you get to Roost. Roost is now obviously the strawberries, it is delicious, and it makes up for the fact that you just ate a whole lot of whipped cream, because strawberries are healthy. I totally just made that up while I was writing it. No joke. But it's true. We don't want any of that pussy Drill Peck. And Shed Shell has saved Skarm's ass like 10 times. Pretty much the 10 times I saw Magnezone on the ladder. Whirlwind makes for some delicious phasing. Basically, I would eat Skarm. It's that delicious.
Well. There's the team. Thanks for reading, and please post any and all suggestions.
