Thanks to its high natural Attack and solid Speed improved further by Dragon Dance as well as great coverage in Earthquake and Ice Punch, Dragonite functions as a late-game setup sweeper and cleaner. Dragon Dance enables Dragonite to have the potential to sweep, as it allows Dragonite to 2HKO Tornadus-T and Slowking at +1 Attack while also outspeeding Dragapult and Zeraora at +1 Speed. Earthquake hits Toxapex, Melmetal, and non-Air Balloon Heatran. Dual Wingbeat is the best option versus physically defensive walls like Slowbro and Clefable in addition to OHKOing Buzzwole after Stealth Rock, while Ice Punch hits Landorus-T, Zapdos, and Garchomp. Roost increases Dragonite's longevity, allows it to set up in front of non-Iron Defense Corviknight and non-Gyro Ball variants of Ferrothorn, and also functions incredibly in combination with Multiscale. Heavy-Duty Boots prevents Dragonite from taking any Stealth Rock damage, allowing Multiscale to stay intact. A Jolly nature lets Dragonite outspeed Dragapult and Zeraora at +1.

Team Options

Kartana is an amazing teammate for Dragonite, as Kartana is able to beat Slowbro, Rotom-W, and Clefable, which are some of Dragonite's best checks; in return, Dragonite can beat some of Kartana's best checks, like Toxapex and Tornadus-T. Magic Guard Clefable is another incredible partner for Dragonite, as it can switch in to Knock Off, Scald, and Toxic from Toxapex, Slowbro, and Tornadus-T with ease while also using Knock Off to wear down Zapdos and Melmetal and Thunder Wave to cripple Weavile and Dragapult. Clefable also functions as a solid switch-in to Weavile, which Dragonite struggles against. Tapu Fini is another good teammate, because similar to Clefable, it can switch in to Weavile as well as Garchomp and Dragapult while also removing checks like Skarmory, Ferrothorn, and Slowbro with its Whirlpool set. Heatran threatens Steel-types like Ferrothorn, Corviknight, and Skarmory, ability to wear down foes with Stealth Rock and Toxic, and ability to switch into Tapu Lele, Clefable, and Weavile. Similar to Heatran, Magnezone can trap and beat Ferrothorn, Corviknight, and Skarmory thanks to Magnet Pull if any of them lack Shed Shell. Lastly, Landorus-T makes for a good partner thanks to its general utility in Defog to remove Steath Rock if Dragonite's Heavy-Duty Boots have been removed by Knock Off, Toxic to wear down foes, and Knock Off to rid Ferrothorn, Zapdos, and Clefable of their items.

Heavy-Duty Boots prevents Dragonite from taking any Stealth Rock damage and why does that matter (hint: multiscale).

Heatran pairs well with Dragonite thanks to its ability to threaten Steel-types like Ferrothorn, Corviknight, and Skarmory in addition to its ability to wear down foes with Stealth Rock and Toxic. Similar to Heatran, Magnezone can threaten and even beat you can just say trap instead of 'threaten and even beat' Ferrothorn, Corviknight, and Skarmory thanks to Magnet Pull if any of them lack Shed Shell. super sorry for the delay i entirely forgot (don't hesitate to reping qc relatively quickly like a week id say is where id reping/reach out), only things i would want is
Dual Wingbeat is the best option versus physically defensive walls like Slowbro and Clefable in addition to also OHKOing Buzzwole after Stealth Rock, while Ice Punch hits Landorus-T, Zapdos, and Garchomp in addition to allowing Dragonite to eventually break through Corviknight and Skarmory after multiple Dragon Dances.

and moving the bit about tapu fini in team options right after clefable

after those, 1/2

Ping me again after implementation

Roost increases Dragonite's longevity, allows it to set up in front of non-Iron Defense Corviknight and non-Gyro Ball variants of Ferrothorn, and also functions incredibly in combination with Multiscale. Heavy-Duty Boots prevents Dragonite from taking any Stealth Rock damage, allowing Multiscale to stay intact. (mention how a Jolly nature with maximum Speed investment allows Dragonite to outspeed Dragapult and Zeraora after a Dragon Dance boost)

Magic Guard Clefable is another incredible partner for Dragonite, as it can switch in to Knock Off, Scald, and Toxic with ease (from which Pokemon? give examples, e.g. Toxapex) while also spreading Knock Off and paralysis with Thunder Wave (explain how these help Dragonite, e.g. Knock Off wears down the likes of Zapdos and Melmetal while Thunder Wave slows down faster threats like Weavile and Dragapult). Clefable also functions as a solid switch-in to Weavile, which Dragonite struggles against. Tapu Fini is another good teammate, because similar to Clefable, it can switch in to Weavile while also threatening Melmetal and Garchomp with a burn if Misty Terrain isn't up (just mention how it is able to check stuff like Garchomp and Dragapult as well while removing checks like Ferrothorn and Slowbro with its Whirlpool set), giving Dragonite an easier chance to sweep. Heatran pairs well with Dragonite thanks to its ability to threaten Steel-types like Ferrothorn, Corviknight, and Skarmory in addition to its ability to wear down foes with Stealth Rock and Toxic (Mention its defensive profile - it checks Fairy-types like Clefable and Tapu Lele as well as the ever dangerous Weavile. Ferrothorn also does similar things.). Similar to Heatran, Magnezone can trap beat Ferrothorn, Corviknight, and Skarmory thanks to Magnet Pull if any of them lack Shed Shell. Lastly, Landorus-T makes for a good partner thanks to its general utility in Defog to remove Steath Rock if Dragonite's Heavy-Duty Boots have been removed by Knock Off, Toxic to wear down foes, and Knock Off to rid Ferrothorn, Buzzwole Zapdos, and Clefable of their items.
