Nothin' But Pokes and Tricks
Welcome to my latest RMT and my first attempt at a UU team! I was inspired to make this team after seeing a focus sashed Froslass with Taunt & Destiny Bond on Pokemoshpit. I basically made a spread and set and worked from there! This is the resulting team.
ANALYSIS
LickMyLass (Froslass) @ Focus Sash
Cursed Body | Timid (+Spe, -Atk)
252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Taunt
- Spikes
- Destiny Bond
- Ice Beam
Froslass is my lead. I usually open with Taunt if I suspect my opponent for trying to set up and Froslass has a ton of speed investment. So, I usually go first. If my opponent falls for the taunt, I follow with Spikes, whether or not they decide to switch or go on the offensive. If on the offensive, I use Destiny Bond to drag (usually a sweeper) down with Froslass. Ice Beam is STAB in case Froslass has to be offensive, which rarely happens.
Bambi (Cobalion) @ Choice Scarf
Justified | Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
4 HP / Atk 252 / Spe 252
- Close Combat
- Iron Head
- Stone Edge
- Hidden Power Electric
Cobalion (Yes, the bambi nickname is inspired by the Disney movie and Zach's character from the great show, "Scrubs") is my physical sweeper. I originally had a swords dance set for Cobalion, but he just wasn't fast enough. I feel like he can outspeed most sweepers with a choice scarf and can hit hard enough with double STABs to take some major threats out.
Scruffy The Janitor (Suicune) @ Leftovers
Pressure | Timid (+Spe, -Atk)
252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Hydro Pump
- Calm Mind
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power Electric
He's Scruffy... The Janitor... Yes, he sweeps. Suicune is an effective bulky sweeper who take down most of my threats and act as a great wall. I'll usually bring him in to handle threats like Choice Victini or Darmanitan.
Swamp Woman (Swampert) @ Leftovers
Torrent | Impish (+Def, - SpA)
240 HP / 16 Atk / 252 Def
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Roar
- Toxic
My big bad tank. Swampert is a great physical wall. He takes a lot of heavy hits and is able to hit back with double STABs and Roar/Toxic to lay out some hazards and shuffle my opponent's team.
Game Sphere (Registeel) @ Leftovers
Clear Body | Careful (+SpD, -SpA)
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
- Stealth Rock
- Thunder Wave
- Seismic Toss
- Rain Dance
It's spherical... SPHERICAL!!!! Nothing can break through the wall that is Registeel! He's able to put up hazards, status affliction, and set up weather for my Suicune, Swampert and my special sweeper: Kingdra!
Elvis (Kingdra) @ Life Orb
Swift Swim | Timid (+Spe, -Atk)
80 HP / 252 SpA / 176 Spe
- Hidden Power Ground
- Hydro Pump
- Draco Meteor
- Ice Beam
The King... Thank you, thank you very much. Swift Swim in the Rain does great late game with Kingdra. Even with the rain down, I can easily switch back to Registeel to take almost any hit to set it up again. I also chose HP Ground for coverage against electric pokes, which I had a really problem with before.
So I hope you guys enjoyed my RMT! Let me know of any constructive criticism you could throw my way! Peace.
